From the moment we began our safari our guide Leslie proved himself to be reliable, unflappable, kind, and deeply caring. He had a calm presence, gave us thoughtful attention, and made us feel safe, supported and thoroughly cared for throughout our entire safari. Leslie’s navigation through the parks at Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and the sweeping plaines of the Serengeti was flawless. His expertise of the flora and fauna there and instinctively where to be, and when allowed us to witness wildlife moments that most people only dream about. We experienced 10 Mara River crossings during the great migration, three rhinos standing astonishingly close to our Safari jeep, a leopard resting in a tree with her kill, several impressive lion prides, and a cheetah with her four cubs to name just a few highlights of this fabulous trip.
Beyond the extraordinary wildlife and vistas our Safari offered tremendous value. The thoughtfully selected Safari camps made us feel as though we were living the true Safari experience… immersed in nature, yet wrapped in comfort. The atmosphere was authentic, warm, and wonderfully adventurous. And the staff at the Safari camps were simply the friendliest, most helpful people in the world… Full of hospitality, genuine kindness, and impeccable service.

We booked our Kenya safari from India, and choosing Axis Africa was easily one of the best decisions we made. From the very beginning, their coordination was seamless. They picked us up from our stay, kept everything well organised, and made the entire experience completely stress-free.
A special mention has to go to Raymond, our safari guide and driver. We were incredibly lucky to spot the Big Five within the first five hours, but honestly, I believe Raymond’s experience played a huge part in it. With 16 years of experience, his knowledge of the Mara, animals and their behaviour was impressive. He knew exactly where to go, was extremely patient, and always made sure we had the best possible view without rushing us. His passion and expertise genuinely made the safari unforgettable.
Another amazing surprise was the complimentary upgrade from a 4-star to a 5-star stay. Our stay at Jambo Mara was fantastic — the hospitality, location and overall experience were excellent, and the food at the lodge was great.
If I had one small suggestion, it would be to improve the food options during the longer travel journeys. Apart from that, everything was exceptionally well managed.
Highly recommend Axis Africa, especially if you want a reliable local operator with an excellent safari team. You won’t regret booking with them!

Amazing Animal Spotters!
Ian and David were our drivers for our trip and they do such a great job with pointing out the animals without binoculars! They have eyes for detail and have a good understanding of the terrains! We managed to catch the BIG 5 on our 1st trip!

Our safari experience was absolutely excellent from start to finish! We are extremely happy with the whole experience.
A special mention to our guide, Adam, and our driver, Mark, who were both outstanding. They were incredibly patient, attentive and helpful throughout the entire safari. They took the time to explain everything to us, answered all our questions and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. Their knowledge, professionalism and kindness really made a difference and made the experience even more special.
The selection of hotels was excellent, the food was great, and the entire organization was seamless. Everything was very well planned and exceeded our expectations.
We couldn’t be happier with our safari and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in Tanzania. A 10/10 experience!

An amazing tour operator with fantastic guides and unforgettable safari experiences
We had two amazing and relaxing safaris with our guide Smiley, followed by a beautiful Panorama Route tour with our guide Beckefa.
Both guides did everything they could to make our experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and we really appreciated their enthusiasm, kindness and effort throughout.

Great Team Work!
The company had excellent team work while handling our 5 Day safari. From Esther in the office to William our driver-guide. We really enjoyed the animal sightings and the knowledge plus professionalism Mr. william has. He always took his time to explain to us various animals and birds. He never was in a rush while doing the game drives which really enhanced the animal spotting mostly the big cats. When we had any questions he would answer and Esther would always check on us while on safari. We really felt at home and more like friends to them. I would highly recommend them if you want peace of mind and value for your Money. Thank you Esther and Mr. William.

Pumba Reserve Safari
Booking the safari with Michele was easy and clear, she also facilitated a payment method which suited us which was great.
She then sent us out the itinerary before the trip so we knew exactly what to expect.
The whole safari experience in the Pumba Msenge lodge was absolutely incredible and the game drives with Sapho were an unbelievable experience, as we got to see all of the animals we wanted to see while also seeing some extra amazing animals, all up close!
I would highly recommend Indigo Safaris and also the Pumba game reserve.
