Review about Aberdare National Park by Barbara And Doug
“Birding” tour in The Ark Lodge in Aberdare consisted of filling a bird feeder with fresh seeds - that was all. Also didn’t like the atmosphere.

Amazing 17 day journey through Kenya’s mayor parks
We have been to Kenya many times and love the beautiful scenery and especially the amazing wildlife.
Our tour operator Anna from “Amazing Memories Safaris” was fantastic during the preparation phase and worked with us to plan and adjust the Safari exactly to our wishes. She also provided us with an amazing guide and driver, Daniel, who has in depth knowledge of all the animals we saw, about Kenya in general, and who was a really great guy to “be stuck with” for 17 days. Daniel went absolutely above and beyond to make this the best possible Safari for us and to accommodate every request we had. When we had a medical issue, Daniel made sure to get us to a very good hospital, stayed with us the entire time to guide us through the process and also called ahead to the next lodge to set up a follow up doctor’s appointment there.
He also is a great photographer and made sure to put us in excellent spots to take great pictures. In addition, and extremely important for a Safari, he was great in spotting animals.
The car was in good shape and the lodges beautiful. Everything was handled very professionally.
We hope we will be able to go back to Kenya in 2 or 3 years, at which time we will use the same operator and definitely go with Daniel as guide.

6 days safari
We did a 6 days custom camping safari (first timers) with Shemeji and it was as good as expected. All parks are amazing (landscapes and animals including birds) but 6 days was a bit too long.
All the safari companies seem to follow the same book for the food, tents and sometimes game circuits. So your guide/driver and car will be the main difference. Our driver/guide was very experienced, knowledgeable, nice and profesional. The car was in good condition. The food was delicious and they accommodated vegetarian meals. Our tent/bed was probably one of the best around. Campsites were ok considering the amount of people.
We chose to spend more time en the Serengeti (4d) and 2 in Tarangire and Ngrongoro as we needed the time to reach northern Serengeti (which ended up being my favorite) . In retrospective just pick one of the itineraries from their website.
Ngorongoro is a great day safari if you want too see almost al animals including lions. In mid October was raining and the visibility was so so.
Tarangire is gorgeous I loved the trees. If you don’t care too much about cats go there ( we saw a cheetah though)
Serengeti is worth all the dust you will get to reach to it...but if I you can afford it... Just fly to central and go from there. We did see the migration but no river crossing. The Mara section is gorgeous.

Incredible wildlife
Outstanding! Email contact, communication and consulting services with our agent have been perfect. Travel tips and recommendations for alternatives were very helpful in our selection process. Our lodge was incredible. Thornybush has totally overexceeded our expectations. Service and friendliness of the staff was brilliant and our Safari has been made unforgettable through our guide and tracker which built a perfect co-alliance while driving in the bush. Have seen all big 5 and a bunch of other animals. Every Dollar spent worth. Would love to come back once in a while to repeat this beautiful experience. Food quality was excellent and the taste variety was overwhelming. In a nutshell: Incredible

South Africa Safari a $20K DISASTER
My review is based on the Facts concerning our disaster October 2019 Safari: 1. Provided flight times 4X to company, arrived in Cape Town after almost two days traveling and NO ONE from this company was there to meet us, would think that a company had been in business for so many years would have figured out how to meet guests at the airport, we finally found their rep after ONE Hour of searching the airport. We had paid an extra $220 because we were told that the company had to pay a driver to come pick us as we were a separate transfer because of our late arrival. We were very surprised that when we joined our large group that we were packed into a small van with passengers to our knowledge did NOT have to pay an extra transfer fee. We did NOT have a separate transfer as charged. Next, we choose this very expensive company because they advertise in writing that there will be a 10 guests per expedition. Another surprise for us was that we had 28 guests on our expedition which was 4 TIMES the advertised limit!! Because there were SO MANY guests, we were packed into small crowded vans for the entire Cape Town portion of this tour with guides who also served as drivers and their explanations could only be heard in the seat next to the driver, a real disaster, very poorly organized. Also we needed assistance in purchasing SA Rand and were UNABLE to get any assistance from Chris or his employees, we eventually solved the problem ourselves, Cape Town tour was totally disorganized as we had NO idea what to see or what to do with the large amount of FREE time we were given on this tour. This review is just the tip of the iceberg as I could almost write a book on how much we were disappointed on paying over $20K for a safari that we experienced so many problems. We should have spent this large amount of money on a different tour operator who was focused on providing more value for the dollar:(

Mission impossible of Albert
It was a great experience where we saw so many kind of the animals. Especially lions and cheaters that were so close to me.
The guide from Jocky tours navigated us to the right place to see animals by communicating with other drivers in the National park. Thanks for jokey and guide Albert.

Thanks to our super tour guide we got to see all our favorite animals
Me and my friends had so much fun on this tour!! We did a 4 day tour conbined with other groups. We were able to see elephants, giraffes and cheaters on the first day. Then we stayed a camp with tents. The place was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff were so kind too. The next few days we were able to see lions, rhinos, zebras, baboons, buffalos and so many more animals!! But we were not be able to see flamingos at lake Nakuru. During the trip we were able to meet so many travelers, share stories and became friends too. Our awesome tour guide Albert was so good a finding the animals and worked so hard to make sure we did all the thing we wanted to do. Thanks a lot Albert and Jocky tours!!

Albert was a great guide! Very chill, kind, and let us do all the things we wanted!
The tour was overall great! We got to see all the animals we wanted and also got to eat a lot of yummy Kenyan food as well. One thing I do want people to know about the tour though is the car rides are very long and if you get car sick easily this is one thing I would like you to take under consideration. But besides that, it’s great! Thank you for an awesome 4 days!!
