Friendly, professional and a lot of fun.
The communication with Patrick was always constructive and fast. The game drives were outstanding and we saw the big five within 24 hours! The drivers made sure that we could see the most interesting places and animals at Massai Mara. Furthermore, the tents where we stayed were super comfortable with our own bathroom. The food in our Camp Enkorok was delicious and made with a lot of love. The Massai people who were at our camp were so friendly and welcoming. All in all a perfect Safari for us!

PERFECTION!
From the moment we contacted Kathi at African Welcome Safari's, we knew we were onto a winner. Kathi put together a great itinerary for us to Victoria Falls, Cape Town, Kruger / Hoedspruit & Jo'burg. Transfers, Tours, Accom, Flights were all taken care, we just had to show up. The quality of everything was perfect and the communication was brilliant! Kathi stayed in touch throughout the trip to answer any questions we had and assist if we had any issues. Everything was just so easy!
This was our first time in Africa and Kathi had some great advise and helped us plan the trip of a lifetime! Would highly recommend African Welcome Safari's!

Very flexible and reliable but with strange surprise at the end.
First of all, we would like to thank a lot to our guide and driver – Eddie Nsubuga Kizito. A friendly, wise, responsible man with a great sense of humour and a lot of insight into Ugandan wildlife, culture, society and history His ability to spot and recognise animals and plants was impressive, just like his knowledge about animal behaviour. A careful but decisive driver in sometimes very difficult terrain with map of curvy park roads in his head. We managed to get away from many difficult situations only thanks to his great commitment. He always found a smile for us. Apart from everything that was planned he used spare time to show us things that extended our knowledge about the country. Without him, our trip would be worth much less.
As for the agency – it was flexible, adjusted itinerary to our needs, replied to all mails with lightning speed and there was no problem with initial payment. Hotels, gorilla and chimpanzeee tracking were all properly booked and we made all the points of our itinerary. So it was weird that agency gave our guide money suffficient just for the trip. When extra costs appeared (tyres to be fixed), they asked us to lend them money so that our guide could pay for our last night and petrol to come back to Entebbe – this money hasn’t been returned...

Trip of a lifetime!!
After researching many safari options, we chose Seven By Far because of their great reviews, reasonable prices and good communication. There was a little bit of confusion and miscommunication in the beginning while working out exact itinerary details. However, when we asked for a video call to clear everything up, there was no hesitation. We jumped on a WhatsApp video call with Sylvester that same week and he was able to resolve all of our questions and concerns. After that video call, it was immediately clear that Sylvester was a very genuine and caring person. We felt very comfortable trusting him to finalize all the remaining details of our vacation.
Our two weeks in Kenya and Tanzania went very smoothly. We had 3 different game drive guides: John, Cosmas and Charles. All were wonderful! We ran into a minor issue with our medical exemption for the yellow fever vax at the Tanzanian border. Sylvester was immediately on top of it. He was there for us the second we texted him, made phone calls on our behalf, and resolved the issue ASAP. It was very impressive how well he handled that.
Finally, one small request I had made during the planning stages was forgotten. However, on our last day, Sylvester surprised us with an event to make up for the forgotten request. It was very generous and kind of Sylvester and we were very impressed with his resolve to tie up any loose ends, no matter how small, ensuring we were happy with every aspect of our vacation.
We could not recommend Sylvester and his team enough. They were amazing, professional, and reliable. We would definitely book with them again!!

Lovely safari time. Beautiful accommodations. Just sad about the drought conditions, and some animals dying due to lack of green grass to eat. Seeing Mt Kilimanjaro in the distance was beautiful.

Exceptional 7 Day Trip Through Rwanda and Uganda with Kajie Safaris
I had the pleasure of working with Ronald at Kajie Safari to organize and operate my 7 day trip through Rwanda and Uganda in February 2023.
I was looking for a tour operator that could incorporate both the Gorilla Tracking in Rwanda and the Gorilla Tracking in Uganda and found that Kajie Safari could accommodate my request within the time frame I was looking at. Ronald was highly responsive, accomodating and transparent about the chances of getting permits and crafting an itinerary based on my specific preferences. For example, I had asked if it was possible to start and end the tour at the hotels I had booked in Kigali and Entebbe respectively. Ronald assured me that this was possible and when I got on the ground in Rwanda and Uganda, it was only then that I realized how far out of the way my hotels were for Ronald yet he still accommodated my requests anyways. I was absolutely grateful that Ronald agreed to this as he made my travel plans so much easier.
As a tour operator, I observed how Ronald and Kajie Safari are deeply connected in the Uganda tourist industry. Ronald knew all of the other tour operators, the lodging and hotel staff, and national park rangers. When we were on our game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ronald was able to work with other tour operators and national park rangers to locate the big game within the park and drive to the spots to ensure that I was able to view the big game. Ronald has strong ties with the hotel and lodging staff which made staying at the local accommodations feel that much homier.
I feel like being this deeply connected within the industry is an important consideration when selecting the right tour operator because when you are abroad, you want to make sure that someone who is receiving you on the other end knows the community well and can help guide you and provide the best experiences possible.
Ronald’s knowledge of the scenic back roads in Uganda was truly amazing. He would maneuver through off road conditions with ease, drive through roads that were not shown on Google maps, and still get to our next destination on time all while showcasing the beauty of Uganda’s natural landscape. It would have been easier to take the main road to our next destination, but Ronald believed that driving through these scenic back roads was part of providing the best and most authentic experiences possible and he was not wrong!
