Alex was the BEST tour guide; very informative, knowledgeable, and accommodating!
5/5

Morning Star Tours were absolutely amazing to work with, from beginning to end. They were swift in response to email with all questions and concerns we had before booking. Alex, our tour guide picked us up from our hotel, on time, with a smile on his face, and cool waters to drink at anytime. We stopped half way to Amboseli for a 30 minute bathroom break and local shopping. We also stopped at a Maasi village to meet the people and learn more about their lifestyle. Before we even arrived in the park, we started seeing giraffe, and Alex was most accommodating to us excited Americans, slowing down so we could see them better. Once inside the park, we learned Alex has the best eye for spotting wildlife and was extremely knowledgeable about the different animals, where they hang out, and what times of day they are where. The hotel, Ol Tukai Lodge was AMAZING with views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the animals (elephants, gazelle, zebra, baboon) from almost every spot on the property. The food was also AMAZING, with so much to chose from, salads, rices, meats, fresh fruit, etc. You will not go hungry! The staff at Ol Tukai were extremely attentive, greeting you with a cool, wet cloth when you arrive and carrying your luggage to and from your hotel room. All in all, not only will we use Morning Star again, we would 100% recommend this tour group and Amboseli to all of our friends and family.

Amazing Safari with Massawe Adventures
5/5

Outstanding level of service! We were greeted like friends and truly cared for in every aspect of our time with Massawe Adventures. the guides / drivers were extremely knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and very entertaining. They spoke fluent English and showed a real love for their country and were delighted to show me and my family around. The days were full of adventure with jaw dropping scenery, amazing people, real experiences and fantastic photo opportunities. We found ourselves in places that you see on nature documentaries. Places I have only dreamed about going to. We watched herds of elephants bathing, thousands of wildebeest and zebra on the Serengeti grasslands, lions rubbing against our vehicles in the Ngorongoro Crater, and many, many more amazing sites. But being there is the whole experience! Massawe Adventures were able to show us the real Tanzania, we didn't even feel like tourists! With their excellent local knowledge they were able to take us to places that are off the normal tour operators radar, which I believe vastly increased our enjoyment and gave us a unique holiday experience. Definitely the proper way to see the beautiful and awe inspiring Tanzania in the care of the professionals that are Massawe Adventures. Thank You so very much!

About: Kenya
Perfect destination for your first safari

On our 2 weeks trip in Kenya, one thing that was constant was the genuine warmth and kindness of the Kenyan people. I would go again to Kenya only for interacting with them. Second, the country is blessed with so much natural beauty and we were lucky to experience the savannah, lakes as well as the coastal landscapes. On top of these 2 points, Masai Mara being a smaller park than Serengeti has higher concentration of animals and on my first safari, I was lucky to spot the Big 4 - Lions, Cheetahs, Leopard, Cape Buffalo & African Bush Elephant. In Nakuru park, we were lucky to spot both the White and Black Rhino. Naivasha lake boat ride was a beautiful experience and a sight to behold and must recommended. I would avoid the Hell's Gate national park though. The coastal towns of Mombasa, Malindi and Watamu have some of the nicest beachscapes I have seen and the vibe is really cool for beach lovers and for chillout after the dusty safaris. I hence, would recommend for any first time safari goers to opt for Kenya due to easy accessibility and lesser travel within the country to be able to see more in a lesser amount of time.

We did two nights in Kruger with a very experienced guide. Great on details of all animals. Saw many animals, including the Big 5! Then two nights in Sabie Sands. More luxurious and closer to animals because they drove off road. Also saw a good variety of animals. Very close to rhinos, leopard and female lions.

About: Kenya
MUST VISIT KENYA & MASAI MARA IN PARTICULAR, AT LEAST ONCE IN LIFETIME
Overall rating
5/5

Africa is Mystic and a Photographer's paradise. Masai Mara in Kenya was on top of my Bucket list. I have already visited it twice and the latest was 02nd - 08th March 2023. I can assure you it is not the last time for me. It all depends on a good driver cum Guide with good knowledge of the place. I was fortunate both times. It is important to be respectful of the locals and their culture. Nature lovers will love every inch of Kenya. The weather is cool in the mornings and can be sweltering by 11 am. Drink lots of water but never leave your Safari Truck in the wild to mark your territories. Carrying light winter clothing is advised. There should not be any worry about safety in any Safari camps/lodges. The guides and the staff take full responsibility for you and your personal belongings. Even in Campsites in the wild, you may hear howls and roars at night, but, the camps have Masai warriors around to keep you safe. All lodges have charging points for your Mobile and camera batteries. However, battery packs & extra carrying batteries is a no-brainer. My Tour operator was Dennsland TrekkTours and the Driver cum guide was Mr.Anthony who did a great job with his expertise and influence in every game park.

The parks are impressively beautiful and rich in wild animals, especially the Big Five. It is a unique experience to see the lions, cheetahs, guepars from two to three meters away. Security is maximum provided certain rules are respected. In end january weather is quite good.
We recommend Tanzania, for a unic experience.

Review about Hell's Gate National Park by Deepesh Panicker

I could not spot any wildlife barring few zebras and the landscape there was my least favourite in comparison to the Mara and Lake Nakuru Park. Lake Naivasha though must not be missed though.
