Beyond expectations
This experience was beyond our expectations. Alex and the group picked us up in Tanzania, helped in everything during the border crossing. It wasn't easy but they didn't spare the energy and didn't count extra cost. I can say that they were heroes. Even last minute we had to postpone the trip twice...first one week due to the covid, second time with 1 day due the harsh immigration rules...AND NO EXTRA COST, JUST HELP.
Let's talk about the safari. Our guide Moses had 20 years of experience and we could feel it in every moment. He had to drive 20 hours in a day!!! but he made it safe and calm. In Masai Mara he knew everything and everybody. He was a magnet of animals...even the big five. Even off season we could see 4 out of the big 5. He had great attitude and stories about every species. Once we told that we would like to see a group of giraffes. He was driving out of the beaten track approximately 10 minutes and we (only we, no other safari cars) found ourselves in a valley full of giraffes and hippo's. It was a magic.

Excellent itinerary - What a great experience we had on our 16 day trip Bush and Beach Safari. We loved everything about the trip and learn so much about the people and their history. Our guide, Moses, was incredible and a wealth of information.

Simply perfect! Respectful, calm, and fun
This was an amazing experience! Ezekiel our guide and Salim our cook were the best. Always friendly useful and thinking of ways to make sure that the entire trip would run smoothly. The camping was really good with great gear included (tents, mattresses, and sleeping bags). My favorite was the Simba campsite on the Ngorongoro. The food was always hot with a lot of variety and really generous portions. Our guide had a deep respect for the parks and wildlife which I really valued. If you happen to end up with him do not forget to ask about his documentary narration skills hehe. I would recommend Suricata to my friends and family.
Side note: if you are doing a camping safari make sure to help your guide and driver with some of the logistics such as setting up the tents and putting them away, setting up the table, etc. I saw a lot of entitled tourists that would just get off the car and expect everything to be done for them...

All 3 accommodations during trip was really very good and "Retreat of Ngorongoro" was in fact lodge comparable with 5 star boutique property (something like Curio by Hilton or so...)
Finally biggest highlight of safari: Our Guide Emmanuel- reliable guy with excellent knowledge regarding fauna & flora of all parks we've visited and with similar sense of humour so of course we've created something like a "team" since first day.
We honestly could really recommend "Roy Safaris" local company from Arusha for reliability & customer friendly attitude.
Every single day was absolutely worth of money spent for it !!!

Knowledgeable , kind and just amazing
The value for money is there. All the lodges we went to were top quality. We chose to do a private tour due to the pandemic. Our guide knew exactly where to take us in order to see the animals, which he managed perfectly as we got to see all of the big 5 and a lot more. He was explaining about the animal behaviour and you could listen to this man for hours. He also knew a lot about the vegetation in the various national parks we went. Also the guys from the office were very helpful especially Justice who went above and beyond to accommodate our every need in order to make the trip memorable and Emannuel was very informative at the welcoming meeting and the proceedings just before the safari started . Would highly recommend bigcat safari tours and you should ask for Lordlugard Peter Mwacha as your driver/guide

Amazing Safari Experience
This was a splendid getaway trip for festive season to view the wild. The game drive & boat cruise were both great. I am just looking forward to another trip with the Kubwa Five Safaris, many thanks for the well planned tour with you guys. The game drive early in the morning was the best, we got to see many animals as far as the eye could see. The guide was great at his explanation of the different animals.

EDDIE IS THE BEST!!! Literally such an integral part in making this the best trip ever.
Honestly, do this trip. Freka made it so easy to book and select the activities and lodging experience we were looking for, we though it was almost too good to be true. But once we touched down in Uganda, we got Eddie as our guide and he handled everything and made this trip absolutely amazing! We went to see gorillas as our main reason for flying to Uganda, but some of the other activities that were included with Freka tours that weren't top of our priority list became our favorites, like visiting the villages in some of the areas we stayed. I mean from magical sightings of animals, amazing lodges and hosts and guides, and then the moving experience of getting to know people in different villages and learn their way of life just made this trip unforgettable. I am recommending everyone use Freka and visit Uganda -- it was the most beautiful place on earth!

We have just completed a 6 day safari and cannot say enough great things about soul of Tanzania. Everything was meticulous, the accommodation was exception and our guide George was just fantastic. He was such a wealth of knowledge of knowledge and an absolute pleasure! Would highly recommend Soul of Tanzania to anyone interested in completing a safari!
