Once in a lifetime trip!!
5/5

My partner and I booked an 11 day tour with Bujo Safaris starting on the 3rd of September 2022. The plan was to leave from Kampala and visit many of Uganda’s attractions: Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth NP, Kibale NP, Bwindi NP, Lake Mburo NP, Lake Bunyonyi, and more. What can I say? Everything went perfectly according to plan and this tour has exceeded our expectations! Johnson is an excellent driver and has always made sure that we were taken care of and that we would not miss any of our activities. You can tell that nothing made him happier than seeing us being mindblown by Uganda’s incredibly beautiful nature, animals and people. When we had small mechanical issues, he reacted very quickly to find suitable solutions while the car was being fixed so that it wouldn’t delay our trip.
Would highly recommend Bujo Safaris to anyone going to Uganda in the blink of an eye!

Fantastic Safari Team
5/5

I just returned from an outstanding trip to Uganda! I began working with Edris over 3 years ago to plan this trip for a "large" group - 13 people. Covid happened, we had to make date changes, we had participant changes, and lots of other challenges thrown at us. Edris was flexible, helpful, and always available. I truly can't say enough positive things about working with Edris. Finally we were able to make the long planned trip the end of August 2022.

The trip was wonderful, we saw and experienced so much. We had wonderful gorilla and chimp treks. Our driver and guide Joachim prepped us on what to wear, what to expect, and how to behave in the presence of the animals. His prep was spot on as one member of our group was approached by a large male gorilla. She did exactly as instructed and all was well.

We also went to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi and did a sunset cruise, visited the EXCELLENT Ride 4 Women Cooperative (a MUST visit on your trip), hiked in the Bigodi wetlands, visited the Equator (twice!!), drove through Queen Elizabeth National Park and got to see a lion in a tree among on things! Plus we got to see a lot of the beautiful countryside and crater lakes. Uganda truly is a stunningly beautiful country.

Edris, Joachim and Ronnie treated our group to a fantastic trip. The guys were upbeat, positive, funny and REALLY hard working. We quickly all became friends!
The lodging was wonderful and the food was truly outstanding. Edris even worked with one of the lodges to provide a birthday cake for my mom who turned 75 on the trip. The cake was wonderful and it meant so much to me that we were able to have the cake for her. The only complaint from the group was that the food was too good and that everyone gained weight! If that's the only complaint, then you know the trip was great!

Here's one last specific example of the outstanding customer service we experienced. Like a dummy, I left a number of items in my windowsill at a lodge. It was night vision equipment, a solar charger, other chargers, etc. These were expensive items. The lodge contacted Edris after we'd left, explaining that I'd left all the items. Edris and Joachim coordinated the shipment of all of these items back to Kampala, so I would have them before I left to head home. I was shocked that they got it done. This team is truly amazing.

This is an EXCELLENT team that will work with you to provide your dream trip to Uganda. I wholeheartedly recommend them and hope to see them all again someday!!

Amazing tour
5/5

Awesome tour with Bujo Safaris, Johnson is always there to take care of everything and make sure you enjoy every minute of it! The service is very personalised as it is a smaller company which is amazing. We personalised our tour as we wanted to do extra things and it all went really well. All the places we stayed at were great and the service was really good too. Johnson will go out of his way to provide the very best tour experience for you. Recommended 100%!

Great Safari tour, experienced guide and coordinator!
5/5

The Safari was great! Hilary was extremely accommodating, including a few changes I requested last minute, and everything was on point. He even was answering fast and giving recommendations at all times on the day. Food was amazing all throughout, and the service was optimal. We managed to see all big five thanks to our guide Floridi, and so so so many lions. Serengeti is amazing for sure. Met also really cool people in the tour, specially for someone traveling solo. I highly recommend this tour to anyone else interested in traveling here.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
5/5

If I had to summarize this trip in two words it would be ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Every aspect was absolutely amazing. The game reservation Maasai Mara, the lodge, the staff, the organization and quick responses of Polly and of course our awesome guide/driver Daniel.

Finding a fitting Safari was not easy. We were a group of 6. Four Adults and two 11-year-old boys. One of the adults is a nature photographer, so we needed to find a good combination that gave the photographer plenty of time get all of her perfect shots without the rest of us getting bored. We nailed it.

There are so many different Safari Operators to choose from. We decided to go with Mufasa Tours because for one the reviews were great and because Polly was so great in helping us plan our trip. She suggested the Tipilikwana Mara Camp which was a perfect match for us. It was pure luxury. We got so spoiled. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating and the food was delicious. We were told to watch what we eat when we left home “Boil it, peal it or leave it”. After being careful the first day, we were convinced that everything is carefully prepared and ate everything even the salad. Nobody in our group had any problems.

Our guide/driver Daniel was the bomb! He picked us up in Nairobi with a comfortable 4x4 Landcruiser with a pop-up roof and drove us to the Camp. A six-hour drive with a few stops to stretch. Daniel is extremely knowledgeable and funny. He explained so much on the way to the camp and answered all of our question, which were plenty

Uganda/Tanzania safari
4/5

Our safari in Uganda was a great experience thanks to our guide Nathan. He was very knowledgeable and considerate. We learned a lot from him while on our drives and even were able to try some of the local food. The cabins we stayed in were closer to being budget lodging I would say but it was nice meeting other tourists and backpackers. The gorilla trekking was an incredible experience.

We didn't get to experience much of the culture in Tanzania on the second leg of the trip given we were mainly in the national parks every day. I would recommend adding a couple days that include hiking or trekking because spending 4-5 days mainly sitting inside a car is way too much.
At the end of the trip we were taken to a large outdoor/indoor souvenir market that was literally 3x the cost of all subsequent souvenir shops we visited. Make sure not to waste your time in there.
The best part of the Tanzania trip was tracking the wildebeest migration and seeing the ngorongoro crater. Don't miss those.

Perfect Safari from start to finish
5/5

We did an 8 day safari with Zohar in September and had an amazing time.
It started with perfect communication and planning, but didn’t end there. We had a super nice airport pickup, a perfect guide (thanks so much, Tom for making these days so much fun!), amazing lodges, food, company and stunning game drives.
A honeymoon that we will remember our whole life. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Incredibly helpful very organised - our trip went to plan without a hitch!
5/5

We wanted to have an adventurous safari honeymoon but without the stress of planning logistics. Indigo Safari’s were great in putting together a package that was perfect for us. During the trip we always felt we were in safe hands. All the connections went smoothly. The accommodation was always lovely and of course the safari itself was something we’ll never forget.
