Wedding & Family trip
We had to attend the wedding in Capetown so combine Safari with it. We did safari of Hwange National Park, , Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Chobe in Botsawana & Krugal National Park in SA. We got to see all big five and had a great time.

Once in a lifetime experience on a honeymoon with amazing guide & chef
It was the best tour I have ever been on!
I was prepared for a lot of inconvenience on my first safari in my life, but almost nothing happened that I was worried about.
I thought there would be few toilets in the park or that we would not be able to sleep in tents, but to my surprise, there were several toilets in the park, hot showers at the campsite, and a small store where we could buy snacks (in TZS or USD cash). The guide was very proactive in looking for animals.
The guide was very proactive in looking for animals, and even though it was rainy season and difficult to find animals, we were able to see the BIG 5 except for the leopard!
He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the animals' biology and culture, and answered our questions and queries with aplomb. He never lacked our childlike "why?" curiosity was satisfied without missing a beat.
The safari itself was fascinating, but I think it was the individual experiences that the guides provided that made it such an exciting experience from start to finish.
It was the best first safari I have ever been on with a guide who was safe and reliable and had a great spirit of service.
When I think of safari, I think of camping.
To be honest, I had no expectations for the food, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The chef's cooking was amazingly delicious at every meal, and we were able to enjoy hot meals without missing Japanese cuisine.
At the last dinner, he cooked a pizza in a pan on the safari, which was also delicious...!
I will miss the food on safari.
I would like to go again when I have children in the future.
I would definitely refer this tour company to my friends, acquaintances, and family in Japan when they go on safari.
Next time I will book directly with the tour company!
I hope everyone who reads these comments will also make memories to last a lifetime!
<What I wish had been better
・I wish there was a lamp that could be hung from the ceiling of the tent to illuminate the inside and outside of the tent, since we were only relying on the light from our phones when we stayed in tents.
→ I wish I had a lamp that could be hung from the ceiling of the tent to light up the inside and outside of the tent.
・I wish there had been a newer binoculars for each person, because it was hard to see.
→ It would have been better if we could have had a pair of the latest binoculars for each of us.
・I would have been happy if the quality of the sleeping bags and mattresses had been improved to make our stay more comfortable.

Highly organized and professional
our group of four had an unforgettable experience with Mellivora African travels. We visited Tarangire National Park, Ndutu Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. We watched all big five and plenty of other animals and birds. Before the trip, I had very effective and smooth communication with the owner Fransisca when planning our trip. He always answered my questions very quickly and patiently. Mellivora African travels is a local travel agency and their pricing is very reasonable compared to other travel agencies, especially international travel agencies. Our safari guide and driver Ben is simply gorgeous and amazing! He worked very hard everyday and made our trip such a wonderful experience! The guide Issa for our one-day Kilimanjaro hike is amazing too! Thank you guys and you are the best!

Perfect unforgettable Safari!
Our trip in Kenya was amazing experience. And our guide Mike was a perfect guy to show us always the hospitality and took care of us and kids during the Safari tour.
We were thrilled to be able to closely observe a cheetah devouring a baby Thomson's gazelle. Mike was wonderful because when we were distracted by a nearby hyena, he thoughtfully told us that there was a cheetah over there and showed us the cheetah meal scene when no one had arrived yet. He knew the animals so well that he waited until the cheetahs had finished their meal. And as he predicted, after the cheetahs walked away, hyenas and vultures came scavenging for leftovers at great speed. We were amazed and impressed by his professionalism as a safari guide.
At Naivasha Sopa Lodge, we were greeted by a zebra on the terrace of our room. The lodge grounds are home to zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, and a variety of beautiful birds that kept us entertained during our short stay and allowed us to see the animals very closely.
Also, the terrace breakfast at Masai Mara Camp was excellent. The Maasai staff made us feel welcome and provided excellent service. The fresh blue sky, the beautiful savannah, and the giraffe and her cubs walking peacefully in the savannah, made breakfast an unforgettable experience.
The walk to the Maasai village was an adventure due to the muddy soil after the rain. This made the experience in the Maasai village even more memorable. We enjoyed the Maasai dance and jumping competitions, and the children enjoyed our Japanese kendama performance, which was a memorable time. Mike always had a smile on his face and took care of us. We loved him and will miss him when we leave Kenya.
Lastly, this was our first trip to Africa and we were excited, but at the same time we had anxiety before we got to Kenya. Thank you so much Filipa for planning the tour all through online communication and responding to our detailed questions in a polite and prompt manner.

helpful and very friendly
We were very satisfied with this trip from end to end.
We experienced so many awesome things in Namibia.
The guy from the rental car agency gave us all the tips required to have a safe trip.
We never had any issue regarding the trip except one night in the desert camp lodge where our booking has not been approved properly. But it was solved very quickly.

Amazing safari company organized the best trip!
This was one of the best safari adventures I have been on. Bernard organized the perfect itinerary for us, with a lot of back and forth with me to ensure that the trip was exactly what we were looking for. Martin the guide met us at Kilimanjaro Airport with a very comfortable land cruiser (which sounds like an oxymoron but it really was!) that we spent the whole week in. He was incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, and with a great sense of humour. We visited four different national parks (Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Tarangire), and each one was an amazing experience. All in all, I highly recommend It Started in Africa, and will definitely recommend them to everyone I know.
