Extremely helpful, responsive and very enjoyable to work with
5/5

Our travel agent Megan was a pleasure to work with. She was very patient with all our questions and concerns; she responded quickly and helped guide us through the entire process, changing our intinerary as often as we requested. She offered us several options and packages to consider in order to accommodate our budget. We had one excursion cancellation at the last minute due to the weather and she responded immediately while we were in Cape Town, acting as mediator so we were able to book an alternate event on our own. The lodges in Victoria Falls and Chobe were beautiful, service was excellent, especially the staff at Ngoma Safari Lodge, we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The scenery, safaris and entire experience were beyond our expectations. It was a dream come true and Megan was great to work with; we felt the price was reasonable for all we received and would highly recommend Discover Africa to anyone considering a trip to Africa.

Adventurous Safari
5/5

Day 1-Day 3 was Masai-Mara. We spent about 1 and half days in this place and got to see so many buffalos, lions (can you imagine), giraffes, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles. We ended the tour by visiting the Masai Village (we did the Masai dance, visit their homes etc) and you have to spend about 4000 to 6000 Kenyan shillings to support the Masai people who have products on sale.
Day 3 to Day 4 was Lake Nakuru. We saw many baboons and flamingos, really beautiful sight and it was worth the drive. We saw a few lions but not as many as those in Masai Mara.
Day 5 was Amboseli National Park. We saw many elephants including the young ones. We managed to see an elephant crossing the road, just a few meters from our car. It was really amazing. We also saw Zebras, giraffes and in the background it was Mountain Kilimanjaro. This was such a beautiful and wonderful sight.
Day 6 was Naivasha. Here we did a boat ride. It was amazing. We saw many hippos and and the guide showed us how an eagle catches a fish. So he threw one and the eagle flew so fast and caught the fish. It was amazing. After the boat ride, we got to see many other places including the hot springs and guys the water was hot, this was amazing.
Our guide was called Boniface, he is really excellent, well versed with the animals and the places. He is very nice guy. I thank him for all his efforts and care he provided to us during the Safari. If you want to go for a Safari and have fun at the same time, he's the one you should go for. I think that's all of it.
It was really fun and adventurous Safari.

Excellent execution

We had a great experience with phine safaris. Jeremy was very prompt in responding to any of our questions and Isaac our driver was very experienced. We had great sightings of lions (maybe 20 lions), cheetahs and elephants. The hotels chosen by phine safaris were outstanding. We stayed at emaiyan luxury resort at masai mara and sarova woodlands at lake nakuru. Everything was perfect and I would recommend them to everyone.

About: Mazingira
Professional, attentive and passionate people with strong knowledge about Tanzania
5/5

My wife and I hired Mazingira for a 7-day safari tour as part of our honeymoon. We had a memorable experience with the company and we would definitely recommend it for any person thinking about visiting the Tanzanian national parks, especially honeymooners. They were reliable, supportive, passionate about safaris and made sure we had an amazing experience. All the meals were prepared were delicious and picked great accommodations in the national Parks. To prepare the trip, we asked several questions before arriving and we always got answers fast. During the trip, we just relaxed after seeing that Mazingira had everything under control. Special mention to Johari and Simon to make our Safari an unforgettable trip!

Best company you could possibly choose!
5/5

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Edison was so fast to respond to all of our (many many) questions and send in depth information well in advance, including what to expect, what to pack, what we would need to cross the boarder from Rwanda to Uganda and back (vaccines, visas etc), and contact information for our guide, Jackson. Jackson made our trip the absolute best experience possible. He was extremely friendly and knowledgable, answering all of our questions along the way.
We booked the 3 day gorilla trek and golden monkey hike with coffee tour:
Notes: bring small American cash if you can as it is accepted/expected everywhere.
We landed in Kigali at 7am with a very quick walk through customs.
We had a quick stop for breakfast at Bourbon Coffee at the airport and grabbed a sandwich for the road.
Jackson picked us up right after our breakfast (he knows the area well and can make great recommendations for breakfast and lunch stops).
We made a stop at the Genocide Memorial which should not be missed. It was extremely emotional walking through the museum and learning more about the cold history of the Rwandan genocide and we really appreciated having time to take it all in.
We continued our drive through to our coffee tour in Uganda where we saw first hand the process of coffee making from field to cup. The family even let us try our hand at processing and making our own coffee from freshly picked beans through to roasting. The coffee was fantastic and we bought a few bags ourselves.
We then headed to Rushaga Gorilla Lodge which was hands down one of the most beautiful accommodations we have had the privilege of staying at.
We had an early morning start (7am) to head to the Gorilla trekking. The Batwa people started us off with a cultural dance to get everyone in the mood and then we were off following our guides with directions from our trackers. We hiked for just under 6 hours. These hikes are not "hard" but there is some marsh, some steep inclines and it is very wise to bring proper high ankle hiking boots and gaters to protect against mud, water, ants and other jungle funs. The gorillas were unbelievable, a true once in a lifetime experience. The guides answered all of our questions and helped us make the most of our hour with the family of 12 including several babies.
We took a quick lunch break hillside after exiting the jungle, taking in the stunning views. After getting back we thanked our guides and headed back to the lodge, taking time to pickup some souvenirs from the locals.
We had a relaxing afternoon poolside and enjoyed some afternoon relaxing on the deck of our jungle cabin.
The dinners are the lodge were fantastic and lunch and breakfast were also provided. (They over feed you for sure so no worries about food on this trip!)
Our next morning we started at 5am to drive through to Mgahinga Gorilla National park (a part of the Virunga mountain range) to hike to see the golden monkeys. The hike again took us through jaw dropping scenery. You can also view gorillas here or climb to the top of the mountain even. The hike took roughly 5 hours and again we had one hour with the monkeys as they jumped through the trees and came down to check out what we were doing.
We took a lunch break in the town with Jackson on the way back enjoying some rolex and vegetable curry which were fantastic. We picked up some more local coffee here too before starting our 4 hour drive back to Kigali.
All in all this was hands down the BEST tour company we could have chosen for sure and we will most definitely be back again!

10/10 experience!!
5/5

The tour was amazing from start to finish! They communicated everything before we even had to ask, which was greatly appreciated. Donald, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and was excellent at spotting them - we were lucky he spotted a Leopard in a tree on our last day, and we were also fortunate to see a cheetah! He was great at pointing out and explaining the different animals we saw and was all around very friendly and personable as well. Donald was also a great cook, which was an added bonus!! And they were great about my sister’s dairy allergy ( they checked with us about allergies before). We absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to have an amazing experience visiting Kruger!!

5 day safari
5/5

I booked a 5 day safari with Hyrax for myself, my husband, our 3 children, and my mother in law. Our safari included Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha/Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli. I was contacted by Emmah and she truly is a great help! I had so many questions, I changed our itinerary and every time she was quick to respond and offer guidance. I can’t say enough good things about Emmah and I really appreciate her help with our trip. Not only did she provide a private tour for us, she also arranged our lunch at The Carnivore restaurant. Our safari guide was Lenny and I would say he did a great job overall. We saw the big 5 and he pointed our things along the way. I mostly appreciated that he pulled over on side of the road to take our photo in front of Mt. Kilimanjaro!! Mt.Kilimanjaro was my main reason of going to Amboseli and if he hadn’t done that we would have no photos because the mountain was hidden the next day by clouds. I would recommend booking with Hyrax and I would definitely use them again. I would like to ease anyone’s mind on a few things I wasn’t sure about as a first timer. They will contact you on WhatsApp, don’t be alarmed that’s how we communicated the entire time, also don’t be alarmed that you will pay a deposit but the remainder of your balance will be in cash the day of your trip! Book with them, you won’t regret it!

Awesome
5/5

Traveling to Africa was a lifelong dream. Being retired, I thought it might be impossible. But after speaking with Frank, the owner of Serengeti Clarity, I took a chance as a solo traveler. My Kilimanjaro trip was beyond incredible. From airport pickup to drop-off, the staff treated me with utmost respect. The mountain crew, including porters, waiters, cooks, and guides, were professional yet had a great sense of humor. Kilimanjaro exceeded my wildest dreams. I highly recommend Migration Venture and hope to travel with them to Serengeti and Zanzibar in the future. Forever grateful for the team that made my adventure so enjoyable. Loved every minute of it!
