Great safari tour
5/5

We had a 3 day safari to Mikumi from Zanzibar. It was very well organized safari, everything was according to our expectations or better.
Good support from TSS and Elvice and always fast answers to all our questions.
The safari tour was great and we had an excellent safari guide.

Great service compared to other companies
5/5

Uhuru is a great company, organisation is very good, the driver is experienced and knows the parks so well he brought us to places without all the other tourist cars.
The services is as good, or better than other companies and the service seems to be better.
After having searched and contacted many safari companies we chose Uhuru and we made a good decision

Very helpful and dedicated to make people's trip the best experience possible!
5/5

Me and my boyfriend had never gone to Namibia or any other country in the southern part of Africa. We were a little bit worried, specially about hiring an agency we had never used before (not even heard about, as in Brazil people don't usually go to African countries other than South Africa). However, since the beginning of our contact with Nature Travel (many thanks here to San-Mari, who was always kind and helpful), we were very well supported in every single thing we asked: general overview of the places we would visit, details about other options, how much time to spend, price targets, etc. One of the most amazing things about Nature Travel was that, even though the trip was being planned for us, when we had an idea that didn't seem very well for them (fox example: too much time in a place, too many distant places, etc.), they would tell us the truth and argue with us (in a nice manner, obviously) why we shouldn't do that. They really cared about what would be best for us! With all that being said, we cannot say another thing than that we had a wonderful time in Namibia: it was certainly a trip that we’ll never forget. We would like to thank the whole Nature Travel team for their assistance, specially San Mari and Marius. The latter was our guide throughout our trip and we REALLY had a wonderful time with him. All his knowledge, kindness, professionalism and good humor contributed a lot to make our trip as incredibly unforgettable as it was. He was always trying to read what would be best for us. We could see that the thing he wanted the most was to give us the best experience possible. We will definitely continue planning trips with Nature Travel and recommend them to all our friend and family!!

Dishonest Company
1/5

I'm going to keep it brief, but in general, Ibrahim is dishonest with his customers and unfair to his staff. People considering booking with him should understand the risk of booking the cheapest option.

Three major issues:

1- When we were leaving Serengeti to go to Ngorogoro, we were told at the gate that Angose had not paid our park fees. Ibrahim's solution (by telephone) was for one of us to put the fees (about $700) on our personal credit card and then be reimbursed in cash when we got back. No one was interested in doing this because we felt it seemed like a scam. There's an online portal for safari operators to pay these fees online if they're not able to do it the usual way (pay in cash at the local bank) so it shouldn't have been an issue. We waited at the gate for several hours for Ibrahim to come up with a better solution. Eventually we went to park rangers ourselves and explained the situation and they told us that all we had to do was fill out a form and we everything would be fine as long as they paid the following day before we left the park. If the solution was that simple, and this has happened before (it's noted in another review on TA), then why did we have to lose an entire afternoon game drive because of it?

After my safari, I met another backpacker who used this company and the same thing happened to them.

2- Unbeknownst to anyone, I was booked for a 5 day safari and everyone else was booked for a 6 day safari. No one told us this and we didn't figure it out until the fourth night. On the fifth night, Ibrahim called me and told me, "Ok, your safari is over. You can either pay $150 more and do the last day with the group or take the public bus back to Arusha (2 hours at night)." I told him there was no way I was going to do either of those things. We hadn't gone to Manyara yet which was on my itinerary, I had spent all the money I had budgeted for this portion of my trip, and the bus is not especially safe for tourists (especially at night). He yelled at me and threatened me over the phone. It wasn't until I mentioned the police that he backed down.

3- The way they treat the staff is much worse than other safari companies I have worked with. There's no tent or meals for the staff. They sleep in the car and eat leftovers. Our guide told us that they're paid almost nothing and rely on tips to make a living. He also said that they weren't given enough money for the supplies so he had to pay for our bottled water out of his own pocket.

In conclusion, I think there would be more negative reviews but people either want to put the situation behind them or they're embarrassed to admit they've been scammed.

Great for families!
5/5

Sperito was easy to communicate with. He was prompt with replies for questions we had. He made the experience so easy! We just had to get there and he did the rest. There was always plenty of bottled water in the van. He was great with our children and they felt very comfortable. He was very accommodating even when we needed to change our itinerary a bit. We had an amazing time traveling through Uganda, going on safari, zip lining, quad biking, and relaxing at Wild Waters Lodge. The experience and the professionalism of Pamoja Tours and Travel was excellent! We will definitely be back.

A complicated itinerary made simple and everything went smoothly right down to our airport transfers
5/5

We absolutely loved our trip. Leslie is an amazing agent. We felt very cared for and her suggestions made the trip
absolutely pleasurable. In three short weeks, we went from trekking Gorillas in Uganda, to going on safaris in the Mara and South Luangwa without a glitch. Her recommendation for each leg was excellent. Leslie is very responsive to our needs and she is very knowledgeable. We had an amazing time and unforgettable experience! Thank you Leslie.

Two days Murchison Safari
5/5

For work I had to be in Entebbe for a few days. Since I did not visit Uganda before I decide to book a two-days tour to Murchison. It was a great experience!
Sam, the manager of Katsam, was very responsive and extremely helpfull when I started preparing my trip. Since I was travelling alone safety was very important for me. I was in good hands with Wilson the guide who was with me for two days. It were two long intensive days but I had a wonderfull Uganda experience. I'll will be back! If you are in a position to have a few day in Uganda I highly recommend to book a safari tour with Katsam adventures.
