Excellent organization and amazing guide
5/5

Beginning of August 2021 we had the pleasure to experience a combined Safari Masai Mara Kenya + Northern Safari Circuit (Serengeti, Nogorongoro, Lake Manyara + Tarangire NP) with Sould of Tanzania and their partner company Spirit of Kenya.

Overall I can say that the entire journey was an amazing trip with lots of fantastic (wildlife) moments.

Communication in advance with our journey designer Sandy was perfect as she was very quick with her responses and the itinary she created was very well structured and organized. She even managed to integrate neccessary PCR tests to our itinary with minimum effect or limitations to our safari time. Thank you Sandy for all your efforts!

We have been picked up on time at the airport Nairobi and transfer to the Mara was ok (be prepared that 90% of all rides are going to be very bumpy – so if one tends to become sick of that or have a hurting back you may think twice).

Kenya part of our safari was organized via Spirit of Kenya and our driver guide was Seco. He was a friendly person and gave his very best to find us the best sightings in the Mara.

Our Camp in the Mara was Julias River Camp. Location of this camp was great but service mentality was only mediocre. Price-Value for Julias River Camp was not ok and I would not go there again.

Our part in Tanzania that was organized by Soul of Tanzania was entirely enjoyable.

We met our amazing guide Tom at the border and from the first moment we were happy to have him with us. He did exactly what one would expect from your guide – he asked all our preferences, told us that we are welcome to ask any question about nature, life in Tazania our even some personal insights and opinions. We felt comfortable with his driving although he didn´t compromise on speed outside the parks to guarantee maximum safari time.

I was fascinated about Toms knowledge as he was able to answer every question I had about the wildlife and he explained and gave far more information without even asking. Also I was impressed about his ability to sight the game even from far distance while driving the Jeep. Also his service was perfect from having a clean car every morning, dealing with all our extra wishes to managing next day plan with camp staff for us. He also supported us extraordinary good as weh ad some doubts concerning our PCR tests – he took several calls with hospital to ensure that we do not need to worry.

Especially remarkable was that Tom tried not to follow same routine like it seems majority of the other guides do – means just to bring people to the well known spots. I remember e.g. that he drove extra circuit with us to find a Rhino as we were keen to see one.

Beeing with Tom felt like you have a friend at your side and without any doubt we would go with him again!

Our camp in the Serengeti – Tortilis Serengeti - was outstanding. There was nothing that was not good. The staff was amazingly friendly from first second to last second. We really felt like king and queen there! The tents are equipped beautiful with wonderful wooden furniture, beds are very comfy, you have hot water for showers and every detail was perfect. Also food was great and variety of drinks is remarkable!

Once again I need to say that especially the kindness of the staff was making our stay unforgettable.

Camp at Ngorongoro was Tortilis Ngorongoro. Location here is wonderful too and somehow even a bit mystic under the wonderful trees. This is a Tortilis camp too so standard was same high as in Tortilis Serengeti. People were kind and friendly as well.

Just one little remark that food was repeating to Tortilis Serengeti as I believe Tortilis chain has predefined meals for all their locations. But this is not a complaint as the fish was good also second time.

Our last camp was Burunge Tented Camp close to Tarangire NP. This Camp does not compare to the Tortilis standard (only half of the cost). It is a compareable huge camp that hosts quite many guests. Thus it is way less private in restaurant area. Food is good and comes as a buffet style. Tents are more basic and with way less love for the detail compared to Tortilis. Staff was quite reserved and not very communicative. Best thing at Burunge Camp ist he View. Still it was a good stay here.

Fazit of our Safari was that we are happy to have choosen Soul of Tanzania for our Tanzania trip. The organization was great ans especially our guide Tom made this a very great safari! Also we would reccommend to chose the Tortilis Camps! The part in Kenya with Spirit of Kenya was alright but next time we would look for some alternative here.

Highly recommended for Safari in Tanzania
I booked 5 days safari with 7 wonders and as first Safari for me the experience was beyond my expectation, Evelyn was Supportive during booking phase and George in his briefing before the trip.
During the trip we had Hozza as our guid were he provided us with lots of useful information he was also patient with us and made sure to maximise our experience,he helped us see lots of animals especially big cats. I would say we were really lucky in having him as our guid. We also had kelvin as our cook where the food was delicious with big portions and kept surprising us every day with deferent meals, never thought I will have charcoal pizza in the middle of serengeti.

The Operator, the cook and the guide were very friendly and welcoming. They try everything and the clients will feel comfortable and have a good experience. If you have any kind of trouble with anything, they will help you even after the safari. Really good people! And the food was amazing!

Thanks so much, Kubwa Five Safaris, I enjoyed the trip, but mostly I enjoyed the boat ride although I still wonder whether it was necessary to wear the protective jacket given there are hippos and crocodiles…Hahahaha, I am so happy I saw all the BIG Five on this trip.

I am very impressed with the services offered by Kubwa Five Safaris. Keep it up, make more Ugandans see what we have in our country.

The safari organized by KiliTwende to Tarangire was exceptional, the guides very trained and knowledgeable about wildlife. In addition, they organized a interesting cultural tour to Marungu with a visit to a very beautiful waterfall.

Excellent views, wonderful people, perfect safari.
5/5

To be honest, from the beginning we did not expect anything from the safari at all. Low price, strange booking via Whatsapp with no prepayment, we would be happy if we simply got into the car, saw some zebras and wildebeasts and that's it. But it turned out excellent and much, much more than we've expected! We had a three day tour to Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Manyara. On the very first day in Tarangire we got the close ups of lions, elephants and giraffes. Not to mention huge numbers of zebras and antilopes running across the road. Second day in Ngorongoro was a bit disappointing after the first: the animals were further but still we saw a lot of new ones. The third day in Manyara finished with a leopard bomb so we even got the big 5!
The lunches were simple but great. The night stays were much more than we've expected too. We stayed at panorama site with excellent view on the Manyara lake. The food was abundant, hot water and all the necessary commodities were there.
Overall I highly recommend Nelson and Focus in Africa. I doubt you can find higher value for money safari.

National Park meets ocean
5/5

I just can recommend this beautiful park. Every Nationalpark has something special, but Saadani has such a diverse environment. I've never seen something like that or could compare it. It was breathtaking to wake up in a park and be at the ocean. All the people where really kind and caring. The team helped me, when I was on the way to Saadani and got in trouble with the public transport, they were very supportive and flexible and made that trip for me absolutley unforgettable.
Thanks a lot guys!! :)
