Fabulous team & unforgettable experience
In late May, without prior trekking experience, I decided out of the blue to attempt Kilimanjaro via the Machame (Whiskey) route on 6 days. The only thing that was clear to me was that I would secure the services of a local operator. And Almighty Kilimanjaro went above and beyond my expectations.
Before the trek, all went smoothly: logistics, briefing, equipment (and private toilet) rentals, stay at the Salinero...
Then I was blessed to share my little challenge with a wonderful group of seven individuals led by my guide Muntari. They brought their A+ game every step of the way. Muntari was not only great at managing our pace but he also provided remarkable insights about the fauna & flora we encountered throughout the climb.
Shabani (Chef) and Chaz (Waiter) were an amazing one-two punch also, ensuring I was properly fed & hydrated. These two accompanied me & Muntari on the summit attempt, helping me push through several moments of vulnerability.
Also the porters were extremely kind and happy seeing me reach daily milestones. I was not aware of what it takes to 'carry' a client to Uhuru Peak and back. I would like to give a massive shout-out to the full guild of porters. The efforts shall be acknowledged and celebrated.
All in all, it was a superb experience I will remember forever. Should I decide to do it again in the future, Almighty Kilimanjaro would be my pick again, without a doubt.

Great Experience
We traveled as family with Rocky Afrika and visited national Parks and Lake Natron. The scenery and animals were impressive, and everything was super organized by Rocky Afrika.

A Good Safari Made Better by Great People
We recently travelled with Ramble Africa Safaris and had a memorable experience overall—I’d rate it 4 out of 5.
What went well:
Both Paul and Victor were extremely responsive and supportive throughout. Victor, in particular, deserves a full 5 stars—he was not only an excellent safari guide but also incredibly kind and accommodating with our children. He handled everything with calm and care, including helping us when our daughter unexpectedly fell ill—he guided us through hospital visits and ensured we were comfortable and looked after.
The hotels were well chosen—beautifully located and surrounded by wildlife. The safaris themselves were a highlight, and Victor’s warmth and deep knowledge made them even more special. When we couldn’t travel to Amboseli as originally planned due to our daughter’s illness, Paul swiftly arranged flights for us the next day, allowing us to still enjoy that part of the trip. That kind of flexibility and service was deeply appreciated.
Where things could improve:
There were a few logistical issues that were difficult, especially with young kids:
- No one showed up to pick us up at Nairobi airport, and after a long international flight, we had to use roaming data and arrange our own Uber.
- The first day’s 7-hour drive to Masai Mara was rough, and by the time we arrived, the hotel said we were too late for lunch. Victor did his best, but it couldn’t be fixed—tough after such a long journey.
- In Naivasha, we didn’t get connecting rooms, which made things tricky as a family.
- On the drive back from Naivasha to Nairobi, we didn’t receive packed lunches—apparently because we had used them the previous day when we stayed back due to our daughter’s illness. Unfortunately, no one told us, and with no food stops on the way, it turned into a long, hangry journey. Plus, the driver (who wasn't Victor) told us to relax in the restaurant and eat, misjudging how much time we had. We took a takeaway to eat at the airport and just barely made the flight.
- None of the rooms we stayed in had air conditioning, which made a few hot afternoons and nights quite uncomfortable—this might be worth clarifying in advance, especially for families travelling with young children.
Final thoughts:
Despite these bumps, I would still recommend Ramble Africa Safaris—especially for Victor’s kindness, competence, and heart, and Paul’s responsiveness. With some improvement in logistics and clearer communication on comfort levels, this could easily become a 5-star experience.

Memorable 4-Day Safari with Meru Slopes – Highly Recommended!
I recently completed a 4-day safari with Meru Slopes and had a fantastic experience. From start to finish, I felt well taken care of by Jerome, who was always available and answered all my questions promptly. His communication was outstanding and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
Our driver, Daniel, was outstanding—his 25+ years of experience really showed. He drove safely and always made sure we had plenty of time to take photos whenever we spotted wildlife. Thanks to him, we saw 4 out of the Big 5, missing only the elusive leopard. It truly felt like a dream come true!
A special mention to Meru Slopes for providing complimentary transportation and a night at the hotel before the safari began. This thoughtful gesture ensured we were well-rested and ready for our adventure in the morning.
Our cook, Doula, was very kind and ensured we were well-fed. While there wasn’t a huge variety in the meals, the food was good and satisfying. The camping equipment provided was decent, though the sleeping bags and pillows could have used a bit more cleaning.
Overall, I am happy to give a 5-star review because of the amazing communication with Jerome and the excellent transportation and accommodation provided. Thank you to the Meru Slopes team for an unforgettable adventure!

Very friendly and helpful, an amazing experience
Absolutely worth the money — a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience!
From start to finish, the entire journey was unforgettable. Joshua, who helped organize everything, was incredibly friendly and responsive, answering every question I had with patience and professionalism. Our safari driver, Muyonga, was equally amazing — knowledgeable, kind, and made the whole adventure even more enjoyable.
The safari itself was breathtaking. I can't recommend this experience highly enough!

everything was perfectly arranged
it was a wonderful holiday. we didn't have to think about what we would do because everything was arranged. in the app we could see what was on the schedule and what we could possibly do extra. in the lodges everything was good and also in the safari car there was everything from snacks to charging points for charging phones. the service was great everywhere. when we arrived we were already awaited with a welcome drink and a warm towel. exchanging money is easy at the airport and there are also enough ATMs to withdraw something. in the tourist places you could also just pay with dollars. we enjoyed the holiday, Tanzania and greenhippo!

Sospeter is amazing, great customer service, good vehicle and spots to see the animals. Recommended.
Eliteways Travel and safari's is the best I've experienced so far. Good car, they also know good spots for animal viewing. After safari services are the best. Sospeter their driver even drove us back to the house after the safari.

A truly memorable experience.
A truly memorable experience.
The 5-day safari program is an excellent opportunity to discover the country's rich and exuberant wildlife — and as a bonus, enjoy a taste of local culture and delicious food.
The tour operator Jocky Tours is very well organized and punctual. They offer different package options depending on your budget, mainly varying by accommodation style. The service includes hotel-to-hotel transportation: they pick you up at your hotel, take you to the safari and lodges, and drop you off at your next hotel afterward. The itinerary is well-structured, so all you need to do is hop in and out of the vehicle and take lots of photos. We booked through SafariBooking, which has a very efficient reservation and payment system.
And if your safari happens to be with John Walter of the Jungle, then you're in for the full experience. Friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver and guide, John is incredibly attentive to everyone's needs. He’ll do everything he can to make sure you spot the Big Five — even if the lion insists on hiding under a bush! A true expert on Kenyan wildlife and culture, his insights added even more depth and meaning to the journey.
Thank you, John and Jocky. I chose Kenya to celebrate my birthday, and you gave me an experience I will never forget.
