5/5

Wow ! Where should I start , the service , the communication the tour guide , the tour itself were all perfect!!! I was contacted by Timothy who was always attentive , answered my questions and gave me all the information needed in a short period of time and always cared to know how we were. And the team even surprised us when they all came to pick us up to the safari which made us feel very comfortable, safe and that we are In professional hands. We stayed in lake Nakuru sopa lodge and Masai Mara sopa lodge both were beautiful (Masai Mara rooms are pretty far from the lobby) we had 1 day in lake Nakuru and 2 in Masai Mara . Our amazing tour guide Fred a very knowledgeable man , informative knows the map of the safari like the back of his hand, very kind and made his best to make all our wishes come true. Every request we had he fulfilled. Also with Fred knowing the map very well we were able to finish seeing the big 5 very quickly. We thank extra miles unique adventure for an unforgettable safari experience.
P.s it was my birthday a few days after we finish the safari but they made sure I celebrated also with them and ordered a cake for me!

Best safari I experienced in Southern Africa
5/5

We booked 5 night safari with natureways with our family of 5 adults, age-range 22-56. Started in Chitake with 2 nights odyssey safari followed by a 3 night canoe safari starting at Mana pools. For us, this has been a perfect mix of a walking safari with spectacular game viewing covering lions, antelope, buffalo, elephant, enormous range of birds, insects and plants followed by fantastic scenery from the canoe on the Zambezi river. The guides have all been extremely knowledgeable, keen to share their knowledge and very eager to make the safari special for all their guests. Food and tents have been very luxurious (from our point of view) in the mobile camp of the odyssey safari, on the river it had been basic, which has been expected, but it has been absolutely sufficient. Camp sites along the river have been well chosen and wonderfully idyllic. Every minute has been worth its while. Thank you.

Easy to deal with, always available
5/5

From the very first moment communication with Peter was easy and always available to answer my many questions. I always felt confident in my decision of booking with him and paying in advance. I am a solo traveller and ended up having a 9 day private safari, just me and the driver-guide (friend!).

All accommodations were superb, much more than I expected.

I feel very lucky to have Derrick as my driver and guide. He is a young man very passionate about his job and country, always sharing his knowledge, punctual, making sure all was ok, polite, always accommodating to my needs and wants, and nice to have as company, especially when traveling alone.

I felt very welcomed and had an incredible time in Uganda. Hopefully will return one day! Thank you!!

Mokoro trip
1/5

Mokoro trip was nice, but after this trip my group had to wait the driver (to came back to our cars) more than one hour (and we had to arrive to the camping for the night driving safe , instead we arrived at our camping at 7 o’clock pm, in the dark).
The driver didn’t say anything, no apologise with us or anything else for the delay. Never more.

Organised, informative, and extremely helpful in delivering a memorable Kenyan experience
5/5

Robert was firstly extremely helpful in arranging our trip at the last minute, after our other operators let us down. He provided a tailor made tour, to our specific requirements and budget, and was vert accommodating. The tour itself went off without a glitch, and we cannot praise our guide Adamba enough, he was simply incredible. He was informative and punctual, accommodating and a true gentleman. He spoke proudly of the Kenyan culture and taught us all a lot about the country and it’s amazing people. Throughout the four day trip we had, we were so well looked after, and even when it ended, Robert checked in to ensure we were happy, had made our onward flight and were satisfied with his services. Five Star service all day long!

Quite a good tour
4/5

We visited lake Mburo National Park with JM Jungle Safaris. This one day tour was one of it's kind. We had a stop at the equator and this was spectacular standing on two hemispheres. The guide had to much information to the extent that I could not believe this is Uganda. We went for a game drive at the National park and it was interesting seeing lots of animals. I recommend that more people should take this trip to have such an experience

Charisma
5/5

This is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Seeing the breath taking landscapes and wildlife in their natural habitat is without a doubt the best holiday i have been on in my life. And i would like to thank Shengena for making this dream come true effortlessly and stress free. From the moment i contacted Mike from Shengena i knew it was the tour company i would be choosing. The level of professionalism, attention to detail and charisma Mike displayed i was completely sold. And in every regard he delivered. From the moment we arrived in Kilimanjaro we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality and this continued throughout the entrie trip. The safari infrastructure is absolutely seamless and the welcome and embrace you have at every camp along the safari makes you feel right at home.

Its truly incredible how you can be so far away from home in the middle of the serengeti (endless plain), surrounded by wild animals including the majestic lions and feel right at home. We owe that novelty to the tanzania and osinon bush camps who also hosted an unforgettable romantic candle lit bush dinner for us. With every camp you spend your nights with you will always be greeted with fresh juice and a thorough briefing on how the camp is run, a full breakdown of the dinner service and instructions on staying in the tents and leaving them after sunset. Get used to hearing the word KARIBU because thats how you are made to feel constantly through your journey.

I cannot get through this review without dedicate a piece of it to Hashim our guide. I did not imagine you would get as close as you get to your guides, but trust me you do. you travel long distances with them and share dinner together most nights and lunch every day. i could think of noone better than Hashim. Ask him any question about the animals, or the landscape or even the history of tanzania and he will have the answer. we were blessed to have such a wealth of knowledge with us as it enhanced our safari experience. its one thing seeing the animals but being explained what they are doing and why is a 4th dimension to the safari experience. Hashim always made us feel like we were in the driving seat of our safari. if we wanted a bit of a lay in it was hakuna matata. if we wanted to start early it was hakuna matata. if it was my countless toilet breaks it was hakuna matata. A truly patient, knowledgable, meticulous indiviual we grew an affinity towards. we even found ourselves missing him when we left for zanzibar. Hashim is conscious of everyone and everything around him. even the other game drivers which in some cases made us feel at certain times he was prioritising them getting a spot on a spectacle rather than us. There are rules in the park governed by rangers. who most of the time are not in sight. some game driver would bend those rules to get their tourist the best spot on a spectacle or get to it first. Hashim is very much a by the book person but i would not change my guide based on this. we looked at this as its better to be safe and be patient as nature has a way of showing us its beauty whether your driving 100mph or having a stroll. To give an example of this we had a good spot on a lion hunt. but other game driver were queuing for that spot as although their tourist could still see the action we had the best camera angle on it. Then all of a sudden as the lion is stalking its prey Hashim just starts driving off. Normally you say go and stop but when questioned why he left he said he was double parked... everyone was double parked. the reality was he was under pressure by the other game drivers so he compromised our experience in that moment for them. But low and behold the next day a lion hunted and killed right next to our jeep and we caught the most epic video of the whole thing. so nature balanced the books for us.

The only criticism i can give Shengena and Mike is that i wish they would have given us a little more education on the weather conditions and how to pack. As some parts of tanzania you really do feel the cold and wish you had packed that fleece.

Apart from that contact Shengena for an unforgettable safari experience.
