Great safari experience
5/5

We were a group of 14 friends who organised a 4 days safari in tarangire, serengeti e ngorongoro parks with serengeti smile company. We had a unique and wonderful experience of watching astonishing nature all around us also thanks to our drivers Gama e Moussa (strongly recommended) who were always present to fulfill all our requests, always with the smile! We slept 3 incredible nights in the parks in very comfortable lodges chosen by the company! Price is also convenient! I would recommend this company very much and choose it again if I will return to wonderful Tanzania!

Excellent communication every step of the way
5/5

Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Excellent communication with Salim right from the start. Accommodation was great and got us VERY close to nature!! Our driver George was fantastic and made sure we had an amazing safari. Saw the big 5 and lots more. Kids aged 21, 17 and 16 all rated it 10/10. Definitely the best experience we’ve ever had as a family holiday.

For amazing and memorable safaris, Dancing Zebra is still the best!
5/5

This was our 6th trip with Dancing Zebra Safari Company, and one of the best! We have been to the Serengeti many times, so we decided to take the road less traveled this time, and check out the parks in the south and west of Tanzania -- Ruaha, Katavi, and Mahale.

These parks are far from the beaten path, and harder and more complicated to get to, due to limited flight schedules and availability. Luckily Jessica Mathews has been to all of them, and was fully aware of all the complex scheduling, and was able to put together an itinerary that worked well for us. It’s good to have somebody who knows all the details personally. She made sure all our needs were taken care of, from our pick up at the arrival airport, to our transfer to the departure airport. I have said it before, and will say it again because it’s true – Jessica is the best safari organizer out there.

Ruaha and Katavi have most of the animals you will see in the Serengeti, except for the large herds of wildebeests. The one thing it does NOT have, compared to the Serengeti, is the large herds of people! It was typical to go an entire game drive without seeing another vehicle. It kind of gave more of a feeling of wildlife in its rawest state, since they were not used to seeing people and their vehicles. We stayed at the Nomad camps, and both of our drivers at Ruaha and Katavi were fantastic. They really knew the area well.

Mahale was great, and we had a fabulous visit with a large group of chimpanzees. This was our first time with wild chimpanzees, and it is a magical moment to see them for the first time. Our chimp trekking guide was Butati, and after three days there, I felt like we had taken a college level course in chimpanzee behavior!

You cannot go wrong with Dancing Zebra Safari Co! Add in the great Nomad camps, the great guides, and this made for one of the most memorable safaris so far.

Unprofessional
2/5

We planned a 5 day safari with Beacon via Robert. What should have been a memorable and enjoyable experience turned out to be full of stress thanks to their mismanagement. Avoid if you want a company that works with you to make your trip enjoyable!

Beacon/ Robert promised and received payment for a customized 5 day safari. Our driver was Anthony and it was apparent early on that Robert did not discuss the itinerary with Anthony. Anthony would frequently refuse to follow the itinerary saying it was impractical/ unfeasible. When we tried to contact Robert to mediate, he would be unavailable. Ultimately, we were made to skip game drives or pay extra to go on game drives that were already included in the original invoice. We were told to pay extra because Robert wasn't aware of change in park fees. At the end of the trip, we were dropped off not at our hotel but in the middle of Nairobi. Again thanks to miscommunication between Robert and Anthony. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is that Robert agreed to split the cost of the additional safari drives even though he had already received payment for it.

I wish this review was about Kenya's beautiful parks and the game drives we went on with Anthony. But our lasting impression of the trip was uncertainty and stress. Robert and Anthony at Beacon, while not dishonest, were disorganized, unprofessional and uncaring about giving you an enjoyable safari experience.

About: Tanzania
Wildlife, nature and people

5/5

I am very impressed by nature: wild animals, savannas, mountains, waterfall Materuni (must-visit, I think) but, however, I really liked to look at the way of life of the locals and listen from them to their attitude to life, too. They are so calm, kind and cheerful.

In the resorts of Zanzibar, there is a big problem with annoying sellers of tours, food, gifts and other things, this is a big minus of local resorts, but the water and beaches here are very beautiful!

It was a very pleasant, spontaneous and uncomplicated trip. We were always well taken care of and lacked nothing during the safari. The nice driver always drove us to the best spots where we could always decide how long we would stay. We saw everything from the Big Fives to the Big Migration. Great tour operators, great team. Thank you! I would recommend to everyone!

Wonderful experience....even for watching birds

One wild part in MOREMI and SAVUTI...we move "upmarket"day by day.....more and more animals, birds.
The apotheosis with the appearance of the Chobe river and its multitude of animals.
But in this place, what seemed extraordinary to us has become too common (the guides , for instance, know where are the lions , their territory...) and there is no more surprise...strange feeling!!
