Excellent tour with excellent guide
We have recently returned from a Kenyan safari with Jocky Tours.
We visited Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli over 6 days.
Our driver/guide was Joshua and he was amazing. He even managed to tweak our itinerary so we could fit in a boat trip and walking safari at Lake Naivasha.
Joshua was very helpful and knowledgeable and was a very safe driver. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him and he was constantly scouring the landscape for wildlife.
We managed to see all the big 5 up close and just about every other animal you can think of.
Accommodation and food was good and overall we were very happy with the whole experience.
We would definitely recommend Jocky Tours and would like to say a big thank you to Joshua.

Best Safari Ever!
We had the most amazing time on our safari tour, Lion King looked after my boyfriend and I ever so well, we felt like royalty! We could not fault anything, it was perfect. Our safari guide Aziz was great and his English was excellent, he even joined in with all our banter which was fab! He was also amazing at his job as a safari guide and every knowledgable about all the wildlife. On our final day we hiked to the first base camp of Kilimanjaro with Saladi who was also amazing! We had such a great experience and would highly recommend Lion King, Aziz & Saladi, thank you all!

An unforgettable safari adventure!
Just returned from an incredible 9 day safari with Spirit of Kenya. At the very start, Victor was instrumental with planning our girls’ trip. Victor was very responsive, organized and gave good recommendations on how to curate our safari. Our accommodations were great with a focus on sustainability and conservation. In addition, they were in convenient locations with delicious food and friendly staff.
Our guide Sammy had a wealth of knowledge of animals, and also provided a fresh, introspective view of Kenya’s culture and history. Sammy shared his love of animals and birds from big to small – for example, there was an upside-down terrapin on the road and he stopped to turn it over. He was very professional, answered all of our questions and made every effort to make our experience a memorable one. Sammy knew exactly where to go in each park for the best views and with his eagle eyes we got to see all of the Big 5 and then some. He was very patient as we spent so much time snapping endless photos. He really went above and beyond for us.
This trip exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend Spirit of Kenya. We are already considering our next return trip and would love to travel with Sammy again.
Asante sana

Vincent is the best guide! Gorilla and Golden Monkeys Trekking
Absolutely perfect trip thanks to our guide Vincent. We don't usually like tours and tend to avoid them but after having Vincent as our guide we have changed our minds. His gorgeous big smile, kind, gentle personality and his ability to listen to how we wanted to spend our time meant he was able to make it better than we could have ever imagined. He is also a fabulous driver on very tricky roads, we always felt very safe.
We know that anyone lucky enough to have Vincent as their guide is guaranteed to have the best trip of their lives. We wish him all the best for the future and hope to be lucky enough one day to have him guide us on our travels again.

E very reliable and well organized company to rent 4x4 vehicle for self-drive tour
We got a hint about Land&Lake Safaris rental service from our friend, who rented from them last year. The communication with them was excellent from the very start. The only glitch was a bank transfer payment for a car deposit - the money didn't arrive to their bank account for almost a month. But I guess this was not their fault, it was a problem in the banking communication system. In the end, the money appeared in their account after all.
We got a Toyota Hilux, with full camping equipment. The car was an older one, with quite a lot of history, but it was in perfect condition. Very clean (including the engine bay), with excellent tires, and all necessary roadworthy and recovery equipment. The camping equipment was also in excellent condition, including the roof-top tent. The car had a double fuel tank installed, which is a very important factor, due to frequent fuel shortages in Malawi. The car handover and the return procedure were fast, and executed very professionally.
We didn't have any single problem with the car or its equipment during our three-week trip all over Malawi, so we will certainly rent from them again. I would warmly recommend Land&Lake Safaris to anyone looking for 4x4 rentals in that region.

Punctual, customer satisfaction oriented and great value for money.
The operator planned and accommodated my needs, the communication with my assigned agent was smooth , the driver who is also a guide was knowledgeable of Ngorongoro crater and the animals which was fun for the kids who were eager to learn. The transportation offered was reliable.

Terrible experience
We did the 3-day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks, and it was a terrible experience.
Out of the 3 days, we only got one and a half because they made many unnecessary stops on the way to the park (even though we told them we didn't want to stop). When we finally reached the park, the driver (who called himself Masai and was rude and arrogant) was driving quite fast, claiming that the next day would be when we'd see lots of animals (so we wasted that day).
On the second day, we did manage to see many animals after having a conversation with the other guide (a young guy who didn't seem to know much).
The worst part was the last day. We went to Ngorongoro (arriving around 10:30), and at 13:30, they told us it was time for lunch, which seemed fine because the park closes at 18:00. However, to our surprise, when we finished eating at 14:00, they said the safari was over. We spent nearly an hour negotiating to leave at around 17:00, but in the end, the driver did as he pleased and rushed out of the park at 15:45, not even stopping when we saw elephants just outside the park (other cars were stopping).
The car was small and uncomfortable (the windows were very low, and you could hardly see anything when the roof wasn't raised), and the driver's attitude was the worst we've experienced (and we've traveled quite a bit).
The company's manager offered us one night all-inclusive at a nice hotel in Zanzibar, but it wasn't what we expected (a proportional refund for the time we lost was more appropriate, as we suggested).
We wouldn't recommend this company, as a safari costs over a thousand dollars per person, and even if you tried, it's hard to do it as poorly as they did.
