Our private tour with Africa Top Guide Expeditions was reasonably priced and met all our requests.
5/5

We heard about Africa Top Guide Expeditions through a friend who had just come back from Tanzania and had booked this fairly new company for his Safari. We had an idea of what we wanted to do: Climb Kilimanjaro & experience the Great Migration of the Wildebeast. We also wanted Safaris in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and a final relaxing 4 days on the beaches of Zanzibar. Dezzie came up with a perfect itinerary that covered all these things and more.
We had amazing guides, Livingstone and David for the Kili climb along the Machame route; then Hussein for the Safari tours, and Spanish Dancers Dive team for the Zanzibar scuba dives. Our trip also included opportunities to experience a few local visits to the Chaga tribe, the Masai Bomas, and the Gorowa Tribe; each group offered different glimpses to their way of life and made us feel welcomed. We took over 500 pictures and met many people for an unforgettable trip!!!
Dezzie communicated best through WhatsApp or e-mail, and they want to make your experience as personal as possible but can also give you a “canned” itinerary they offer on their website. The trips are all-inclusive so the main expenses on the trip are for guides, porters and hotel tips and souvenirs to take home.

Amazing safaris in Ruaha, Mikumi and Nyerere National Parks
5/5

I took 3 people on safari with Widmans Tours & Safaris in July 2021. Most of the time (6 nights) we spent in Ruaha National Park with one overnight (one drive) in Mikumi NP as a logistical stop during the transfer from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha. On the way back we stayed one night in Iringa.

All of us are experienced safari goers (I have been to 40+ parks and reserves in 9 African countries) and eager wildlife photographers, so I this is not a comment from a first timer. We are extremely happy with the tour and especially with our guide Gilbert, a very competent and already experienced young man with eagle's eye for wildlife sightings, as well as excellent knowledge of birds, mammals, reptiles, trees and plants. Please, check the photos from this trip that I have uploaded along with this review.

Gilbert is also a very nice and easy going person, a delight to spend time with. He was very hard working and flexible, satisfying every requirement that we had.

Widman, the owner of the company also worked very hard to organize the trip and made sure that every detail has been taken care of.

In January, 2022, I had another safari (this time with a group with another 5 people) with Widmans Tours & Safaris to Ruaha, Mikumi and Nyerere National Parks. All said above applies for this trip, as well.

I would strongly recommend Widmans Tours & Safaris to anyone trying to get the most for their money for either a long or short safari in Tanzania, especially in the Southern Circuit parks - Ruaha, Nyerere (former Selous Game Reserve) and Mikumi.

I sincerely hope that I will be able to use this company's services again for future safaris in Tanzania.

Knowledgeable, enjoyable to spend time with
5/5

We went on a tour with Sam to Amboseli and it was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable about the whole landscape, history and culture of the area. Sam and Matthias gave us a wonderful experience and even sent us their professional photos of our trip after! I'd strongly recommend him for any safaris not only in Amboseli but all over Kenya.

Remarkable Safari - Tanzania
5/5

Our safari trip to Tanzania was absolutely amazing. Basili, our contact person, was very attentive from the start and organized exactly the trip we wanted.
Traveling to the Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater gave us the close encounters with wildlife we were looking for. We also stayed in nice camps within the wildlife parks.
I would highly recommend Vervet Tours and Safaris for a job well done.

The best safari experience ever!
5/5

WOW just WOW! If we could leave 10 stars we would most certainly do this!

From the moment we arrived in Nairobi, Noah was waiting for us outside the airport even while it was around midnight. We were brought to our hotel (overnight stay) where we got an update by Noah about our upcoming safari. The next day we were picked up at the hotel to get our flight from Wilson to the Masai Mara. When we arrived in the Mara, Dennis was already waiting there to welcome us, boy oh boy what an amazing guide he is! He is so passionate about wildlife, nature, the environment! Just the way we love it AND the way all guides should be! Like we told Dennis on our last evening this was an A++++++++++++++ safari experience! Our safari was more then we could have asked for or have dreamed of!

Everything that was written and promised by Noah in the itinerary became true! A real dream safari/holiday!
Truly if you are planning to go on a safari, just book your dream safari experience with Wildebeest Safaris Ltd. You will not regret it for a second!

It was a great safari
5/5

Was fantastic experience! I did the camping because I wanted to have the full adventure experience. We drove a long way the first day, but we still saw a bunch of stuff including a leopard along the way. Second day was in serengeti. Amazing place! Saw the big five by lunchtime, though the rhino was a long ways away. Watched a lion going after a little gazelle who had just freed himself from the mud right by our truck and a ton of real world interaction. Not like the zoo at all!

The third day we spent in ngorongoro crater. They had a ton of wildebeest and zebra and we saw them all interacting with each other and the predators as well. There were three lions defending a kill from jackals by the side of the road, and we watched some hyenas unsuccessfully hunt some zebras nearby.

The fourth day we went to ngirengiri or however you spell it lol. Not as good, but still saw a lot of elephants and giraffes with their babies up close. Probably the closest of the three parks. And the animals were much more vocal in this park.

The guide Ndalu was very knowledgeable and funny. The chef Don was shockingly good. I really think those of us who camped economy ate better than the two people in our party who stayed at the fancier campus. Really, really good dinners. I didn't even want breakfast in the morning, but I ate it anyway lol

Just a good time. Emanuel and Noel are great guys and I expect them to be one of the more successful tour companies in the near future. Emanuel actually drove all the way out to moshi from arusha to pick me up and drop me off. What kind of business owners do that?? -Peter

Exceptional service
5/5

From landing in Entebbe until we reluctantly returned to our plane EAD provided everything we needed.
Their attention to detail was incredible and every hurdle we encountered our guide (Emmy) found a solution.
The many lodges we stayed at as we traveled around were excellent quality (having stayed in some less than comfortable ones on previous visits), the food on offer was plentiful and good value ( they catered well for the veggie and vegan we had in our group).
The game drives were exciting and rewarding and this is where a professional guide comes to the fore, as we would have missed so much had it not been for Emmy ( especially the Leopard he spotted in a tree).
Can’t recommend EAD highly enough, Ben in England and Richard in Uganda were always available to help and brokered a superb value bespoke trip for us that was memorable and life changing for our whole group.

A wonderful Tanzania safari experience
5/5

We went on a five day safari organized by Edgar from Jiwe adventures. We visited three parks in the north of Tanzania which are Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater with two nights in Serengeti. It was truly a wonderful safari full of fun and surprises at every turn. We had a very good guide (Nick) who is professional and loves his job, he has often told us that you have come here to enjoy your time and be happy, so when I see you happy, I feel proud. The lodges that Edgar chose for us while on the safari were beautiful with different styles and very good service. We had a nice safari vehicle with a top opening so we were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We were lucky twice to see a lion hunting and killing a zebra at serengeti and a buffalo at Ngorongoro, it was a very amazing experience and I will never forget it. When we got back to the hotel, Edgar came to meet us and we went for dinner together. In fact, he is a very good person who listens and cares.
I highly recommend Jiwe adventures for anyone looking for the best safari experience in Tanzania.

One stop safari company who handles every detail and exceeds every expectation.
5/5

When we decided to take a once in a lifetime Safari trip to Africa, we were a bit hesitant with planning things on our own. We did not personally know anyone who had taken such a trip and so we were flying blind. However, when using the internet search tools I trust, Lion King Adventures came up time and time again with glowing reviews. I initially reached out to a couple of tour companies in Tanzania and Lion King was both prompt and thorough in their responses. We began our planning with them in November of 2021 and they assisted us every step of the way, allowing us to modify the length of our trip and add excursions as we went. I never felt pressured they were trying to upsell us, they truly allowed us to dictate what our vacation would look like and focused on our needs as a family. We ended up on an eight day safari which more than exceeded our expectations in every way. Every Lion King representative treated us so well, with such kindness and grace. The accommodations were all straight out of a travel magazines, allowing for both the tented glamping experience as well as secluded luxury hotels. As good as that all was, our guide Gilbert made the experience for us. He was professional, gracious, tolerant of our desire to sometimes change course midstream and he was THE best animal spotter. We saw more varieties of animals, more volume of each species, and more up close views than we ever anticipated. There were many times Gilbert would hear of a sighting of a rare animal like a leopard or cheetah and turn our Land Rover on a dime to get to the spot so we wouldn’t miss an opportunity. Gilbert’s knowledge of each park and where to find the animals allowed us to maximize our time. The crossing of the Wildebeest at the River Mara was a highlight and he positioned and waited and anticipated the migration so well we literally had a front row seat for thousands crossing.. Although we were in Tanzania during their busiest season we always felt well taken care of and were never forced to wait or waste time. Our guide took care of everything from checking us in to each hotel, to helping us negotiate with the locals for souvenirs . We cannot recommend Lion
King Adventures strongly enough….and Gilbert is the man if you are looking for a great experienced guide who can give you a once in a lifetime African Safari experience.
