Wonderful tour guides, fantastic experience, trip of a lifetime
We were a family of 6 plus 2 single friends, we enjoyed a wonderful 5 night safari visiting Mikumi, Udzungwa and Nyerere. When we first looked into safaris we thought it was going to be way out of our budget but then we found Smile with Us, they were excellent value for money.
Mr Msese and Omari were our tour guides, they were wonderful friendly men, with a vast knowledge of flora and fauna. We have a good knowledge about plants and animals but we learned so much from these men. They were also excellent drivers and we always felt safe despite the rough roads and crazy traffic. We felt truly cared for and looked after by them.
From the moment we entered Mikumi we were astounded at the wildlife, it was so special to see elephants, giraffes, hippos and lions as well as many other animals. All the accommodation was good but we especially enjoyed Nyerere Tented Camp at the end, it was truly special to stay in these luxurious tents, our boys even saw a hippo walk behind their tent late at night.

fantastic wildlife experience at Sanbona Resort
We had a fantastic stay at Sanbona Wildlife Resort about 3 hours from CapeTown very well organized by Gems of Africa. After this safari we enjoyed a few days in CapeTown, one of our favorite cities in the world. Finally we went to Stellenbosch to visit some wineries including the degustation of very good South African wines. Overall our trip was one of the highligt of our life.

Wow!! The whole experience was amazing. The safari schedules were so well followed. The team was highly professional and disciplined. Especially Dan, and other boys driving was amazing. They ensure we could see all the animals in their most natural behavior. Big 5 was superb. Dan ensured we had timely food, water, and fun. It was a dream to see these wildlife Masai Mara and Nakuru. Probably the best journey I've ever taken in my life!
First, the Chobe River Lodge was absolutely incredible. Very beautiful, luxurious, comfortable, clean, amazing location, amazing cuisine. By far, though, the service at the lodge was sublime. The staff was absolutely incredible. To say this place was amazing would be an understatement.
Next, all of the excursions were amazing. We saw SOOO many animals! I could not believe how many species of animals there were in the Chobe River Park! And the landscape and views in that part of Botswana (Kasane) were just incredible. And the guides were absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable of the zoology, biology and history.
And Matthew at Indigo Safaris did an INCREDIBLE job booking my journey. Absolutely everything went according to plan. The booking process, including the itinerary, information, payment process and logistics all went smoothly. Everything went according to plan. And I truly appreciate him working with me to customize the tour with an add-on excursion to Victoria Falls. That too went completely to plan.
I would absolutely use Indigo Safaris AND the Chobe River Lodge again, and would recommend both to any of my friends or colleagues who are considering travel to Africa.

Very Reliable Company
We booked a 3 day trip to Amboseli. This company were excellent at communicating and very punctual. Kibo Lodge was lovely with superb views of Kilimanjaro. The drive down the Mombasa Road is quite an experience but John was a mature and careful driver. The game drives were good but after heavy rains Amboseli was like a swamp so the cats were elusive but saw a cheetah. The elephants were amazing!!

Look no further! This was the trip we have been dreaming of for ever and African Safari Guru made it happen. Worth every cent, and for the experience you get, you can afford to miss out. We had game drives that blew our minds, and activities that were a big ‘pinch me moment’.
