Very well organized and well-paced
5/5

Full-disclosure: The tour was provided by Viva Safari who is a sister company of Moafrika. I am ok when these things happen as I understand how they would want to try to match groups to maximise planning and logistics but a heads-up would have been appreciated.

My initial inquiries were responded to quickly. And despite my numerous questions and requests for different quotes, they have always provided everything in a complete and speedy manner.

This was my first every trip to South Africa, and my first safari trip, so doing the safari on the first leg of my trip was a mixed bag of feelings of nervousness and excitement. But again, because they were so responsive in WhatsApp, I felt reassured that everything will go according to plan.

I was picked up at my Hotel a little past the indicated time (because i was the last one to get picked up and we were 5 groups travelling together) by Welcome, who true to his name, made me feel very welcome! A great first impression. The trip is long but your eyes will be blessed with landscapes which you can never appreciate on a flight. We made our first stop at Mayfly at Dulstroom for lunch and to switch vans for the second part of the trip. Quentin was equally friendly and drove us comfortably to Tremisana.

Smiley, Raymond, Vian, Elvis were amazing guides and the lovely kitchen staff made everything as comfortable as possible. We were very well-fed and we could go for seconds and thirds if we wanted to. Breakfast had a good variety as well. There is water and various alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks you can purchase.

Value for money? It's great. Remember, these trips can go as rough as you want to as luxurious as you want depending on your desired level of comfort and adventure. Tremisana was very comfortable and had an en suite bath. There is hot water. There is air-conditioning. Please bring a torch as the pathways are dark in the evening.

Marc's Treehouse was equally the same but felt closer to nature and only had a ceiling fan. I stayed in House 7 and it was spacious with a doublebed,an en suitebath, and a private balcony overlooking the river. I stayed during winter but the first night was a little warm so the blankets were enough. The second night got cold and I was actually relieved i brought fleece pyjamas with me so I did sleep well. Depending on where your "house" is, be prepared for a 3-5 min walk on unequal, but stoned, pathway. I had a large luggage with me and i could manage but some people might struggle. I did have help from Rene who was happy to bring my luggage up the treehouse (which had maybe 7-8 steps max) but there are houses that are literally high up and i don't think it would be easy to carry a 20kg luggage up a wooden ladder.

You will hear and sometimes see animals during your stay. But generally, i felt safe as the houses are spread apart. You have a padlock to lock your house when you depart for the day's activities.

I would definitely do this trip again and would not hesitate to book with Moafrika again.

An appeal to tourists: please bring cash for tips. And please leave tips for the kitchen staff as well. They are very lovely and warm people who truly want to give you the best experience.

Lovely experience and saw countless animals!
5/5

We just finished our tour organized by Jocky.
Our driver Juma was very experienced and he took very good care of us and went above and beyond to make sure everything was great for us, always making sure we had great views of all the animals we spotted and getting us through the whole tour.
We felt safe and very well taken care of the whole time.
Highly recommended, hope you all are lucky enough to be accompanied by him. Thank you Juma!

Best trip ever, with the best ranger
5/5

This was truly the most incredible trip I’ve ever experienced.
Thanks to our fantastic ranger, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. He made sure there was always plenty of food and drinks, and he went above and beyond to ensure we saw an amazing variety of wildlife. His knowledge about the animals was outstanding – no matter how many questions we asked, he always had the answers, often adding fascinating details we never would have thought to ask about.

But it wasn’t just about the animals. Our ranger also shared so much about the surroundings, the history, and even the trees and plants, which really brought everything together and made the experience complete.

We traveled as a family group of seven, which worked perfectly for this trip. I can wholeheartedly recommend this journey to anyone considering it. If you do, I definitely suggest choosing Dendea Safaris – the service was excellent, the information was endless, and our ranger made the entire adventure both fun and unforgettable.

A truly perfect holiday!

The best
5/5

Hello.
I highly recommend to book with this agency. Everything went smoothly, from picking me up from the airport to the safari to picking me up again after, and driving me to the airport. Very professional and very positiv employees, who really listen to what’s important to you the whole time. A good vibe and very good food everyday. I recommend booking for 5 days, so you see everything, I regret I only booked for 4 days. The service was in top, and the communication between the agency was fast and they were very helpful everytime I had a question for them. Don’t hesitate booking with them, cause you won’t be disappointed

Horrible
1/5

I strongly recommend that you do not book with these people
They stole my money.

I booked a 3-day safari with them and, on the day of departure (Monday, 18 Aug), they changed my booking from a lodge to a campsite after I had already paid the full $890 USD. They told me it would be “better, don’t worry.” It was NOT better.

Then, on Wednesday, 20 Aug, when I was supposed to return to Nairobi, I received a text at 2 a.m. saying: “Hello, our bank did not clear the money for your stay. Can you please pay the camp, and we promise to pay you back when you return to Nairobi.”

I had no choice but to pay because the camp locked the gates, and my driver refused to give me my luggage until I handed over $410 USD (which was already part of the $890 I had paid on Monday). They repeatedly told me, “Don’t worry, we will pay you back.”

On the drive back to Nairobi, they ignored both my calls and the driver’s calls. I strongly believe the driver was in on it as well. Later, I received a random text saying they would bring my money at 6:30 p.m. and to “be patient.” 6:30 came and went — no money, no response.

This company i believe has scammed me. Please don’t book with them. They trapped me in a situation where if I hadn’t had the $410, I would have been stuck at the camp. Now they are dodging my calls and messages.

Perfect planing, really good guides, Good and safe cars
5/5

We've just been on a amazing safari tour, arranged by the Kibo Mawenzi Safaris. The Guides were very kindly, safe to be around, and drive with a big confidence, and the communication was in really understandable English.

We had decided to take a 4 days trip with one day at Tarengire, 2 days in serengeti, and the last day in Ngorongoro, all this with all food and 2 days in tent and 1 day in a lodge, included, for only 700 USD per person. We saw a lot of animals, and the guides we had, was really good to explain about the animals we saw, and also the once we didn't.
The only thing I/we really regret was that we didn't choose to stay there in more days, so that we would could have seen even more.

I can only recommend this company, the service is totally amazing, and every time you'll have a question, they will answer you back really fast.

I will for sure use this company again in the future.

We were impressed by Josero Tours &Safati’s passion and reliability, and we believe they will soon
5/5

After checking with many companies, we chose Josero Tours and Safaris. The company is new, but they were always warm, efficient and professional when helping us design the trip. They replied very quickly and even during the busy season they managed to book us some really nice hotels. Our trip was 10 days, covering several national parks in Kenya and Tanzania with multiple border crossings.

The hotels and camps they booked were the best we could get within our budget. Almost every hotel/camp we stayed was better than I expected.

During the whole journey, they kept checking in with us every day and were always available to help coordinate. When some unexpected situations came up, they were very active in helping us solve them. I feel they are still gaining experience, but they are full of passion and positivity and definitely will grow into one of the best company.

We are really glad we chose Josero Tours and Safaris. Thank you for helping us make our safari dream come true!

Great in logistics and organising.
4/5

They are quick to respond when you have any question and really attentive, they were very reliable when organising the transport to the hot air balloon site. The experience has good value for money. The car, tents and sleeping bags were fitting of this adventure. The tents and sleeping bags were clean in every campsite, the food was amazing throughout the trip and the vehicle was in very good condition.
