Excellent Tour with Kikitu
I booked a 3-day safari with Axis, and the entire experience was fantastic. I was picked up and dropped off from my hotel and was warmly welcomed at the tourist camp. Each day, we were given home-cooked meals and plenty of water during the safari rides. Kikitu was also an incredibly fun, informative guide who ensured that our group saw as much as possible on our tour! He was even able to schedule a morning trip to the local Masai village. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend both Axis and Kikitu as a tour guide!

Great Trip
I came with a group of college friends to Kenya based on information I was given from my cousin who recommended you. The referral was dead on. The communications was pleasing and constant. My expectations were met based on the high expectations I had been given. The safari was life changing

Surprisingly perfect trip to Kenya
I and my wife were extremely surprised with the quality and care provided by Faith to make this trip outstanding. We were provided with updates on a weekly basis and our questions were answered within 24 hours.
The three day safari we went on was breathtaking.

Fantastic ! Accommodating and punctual! They went out of their way to attend to our requirements
We requested a custom tour with specific stop offs that we wanted to see and they put it together perfectly. They were punctual and reliable as well as flexible when necessary. I would definitely book with them again .

Absolutely amazing!
Gorilla Tours are an excellent tour company to deal with. Right from the beginning our communications with Rachael was easy and prompt. She had no problems modifying our tour to suit our needs better.
Once there, our driver Robert was excellent. He was very knowledgle and personable. He made the long drives feel shorter. He would stop anytime we asked to take pictures and also when he saw things that he thought we would be interested in. Things that were interesting to us and that we would have missed without him.
Now for the tours. WOW. The chimps and gorillas are so magnificent. It is amazing how close they will come to you. The sounds of the chimps even before sighting them is super exciting!! The gorillas are so enjoyable to watch as they just do their own thing or sometimes even approach to get a closer look at you.
The swamp/community walk in Kibale is also a must do. The banana beer and home grown coffee are definitely a must. We did not get time to visit the doctor and the basket weaving homes.
Anyway, if you are nervous about booking such an expensive trip, please be advised that you will have absolutely no issues with Gorilla Tours.
If you can afford it time and money wise, book the extra gorilla day. You will want to see 2 different families as they are all different in behaviour and appearances!
Thanks again to all the staff at Gorilla Tours!

Excelent!
Very good tourism company! the team very worried and prepared for the expedition. If you forgot something, they let you lease it before you start.
Every day, the 2 guides evaluate your performance, your state of health and prepare you for the next day. The food is very good and they worry that you feed well. They have a vegetarian option.
It is a local company that cares about the good condition of its workers.
Guides with experience in the field and certified by the same national park.

Tours by locals and first hand experience
I dont have words for this team. We were guided to Kisumu, city by the second largest lake in the world and later to Masai mara National Reserve by Kim. The safari was great, he brought on board local guides who made the experience more enjoyable. The vehicle was great, clean and always on time. The masai camp was great, simple and clean. We highly recommend this team work.

Our agent, Mana, was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient - a pleasure to deal with!
Hi Mana and thanks for your email. We loved every minute of our trip La Rochelle was a lovely first stop, we “did” the gardens, loved the orchid house even though not many were in bloom though those that were were spectacular. Nicholas (?), the resident orchid expert (since 1972!) was a fount of knowledge which, for the likes of me, was wonderful as my orchids have to be tough to survive!! Our room was very comfortable (we loved the old world feel of it) and the meals and service were great. Onto Leopard Rock after a leisurely and very beautiful drive and into our spacious and very comfortable room (not one overlooking the gardens as those rooms were being worked on). Sadly, we were the only guests there but were treated like royalty! My husband played golf and I went along for the ride – that course is stunning! It’s not in perfect condition at the moment as – according to our caddy – they are awaiting delivery of new mowers etc. All the staff at Leopard Rock were outstanding, from Claris the front office manager to the waiters and grounds staff, the golf club caddy master and caddy – each and everyone made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble – this alone makes us want to go back! Onto Aberfoyle – the drive there is breathtaking – the road not so great! But we weren’t rushing so it wasn’t too much of a problem. Sadly, again we were the only guests but, once again, were treated like royalty. Special mention must be made of Obert who was receptionist, barman, waiter, maitre d’ and raconteur! He really is excellent!! The young chef there (Rev) cooked the most amazing meals, we liked their system of asking ahead of time what we would like for each meal and at what time – very personalised. Timothy who stepped in to cover for Obert for an afternoon and evening and Morgan the guide were also very pleasant. Our room was beautiful, super comfortable. The only time the weather impacted our stay was on our one full day there as my husband wasn’t able to sample their golf course so we went on a tour of the tea factory instead (fascinating!) followed by a walk to the hydro-electric pumping station close to the lodge. As luck would have it, the generator there had been taken out and sent off for servicing so there was no back- up power for the lodge. Of course a tree or trees fell on ZESA lines somewhere and the power went out on our first night and didn’t come back until the morning that we left!! But such was the service provided by the staff, we barely noticed the lack of power. What an amazingly beautiful part of the world Honde Valley is, it was like being in a totally different country. We were lucky enough too to see a rare Palmnut Vulture, one of a pair who are resident there. Our trip home was, as expected, much wetter but without the gale force winds experienced elsewhere so not too bad at all.
So there you have it – a wonderful trip from start to finish made all the more special by the people who looked after us so well and I include you in there – thank you so much
We look forward to coming back to you to organise our next Zim adventure!
Kind Regards,
Ange and Mitch
