7 days, 6 night Luxury Safari: 16-23 June 2024
To start, Lion King Adventures is the best choice, hands down!
Contact: The correspondence and products provided in the planning phases of our Safari were extremely professional and well laid out. I was very worried about being scammed when initially looking at safari companies, but after receiving the initial quote and email, I had full trust in Lion King Adventures.
Arrival: A Lion King Representative was directly outside the airport ready to pick us up, and from the minute we arrived we felt ensuring we had a great experience was their top priority.
Lodging: We stayed in four separate properties over our trip, and it is obvious Lion King only aligns with properties that care about guests as much as they care about providing a great experience. We stayed at:
Gran Melia Arusha: Luxurious, delicious food, and amazingly friendly staff. Special call out to Godwin!
Maramboi Tented Lodge: WOW! This is the type of facility I’d expect to see celebrities staying at.
Kitela Lodge: Amazing. The rooms are more like cottages with lush foliage and a coffee farm as a backdrop, and beautiful bird calls to ease your stress away. Extremely clean pool along with the rest of the property, the staff is super friendly and Sasha is a joy making it all run smoothly. Enjoy your rest here, but you MUST make sure you have an appetite for dinner. Chef Veronica is wonderful and her food will make you dance with joy.
Nyota Luxury Camp: ** You MUST stay here - what an experience!! The word “Luxury” in the name is true! Imagine a permanent tent that feels like a five star hotel room, but in the middle of the Serengeti. You may have wild elephants walk past your tent, but you will not worry because the staff here ensure you’re always safe. The manager, Duma, was great and made sure our stay was delightful.
Guide: Our guide, Mwita (aka the best guide in all Tanzania), was amazing. Upon meeting us on our second day In Tanzania, we had a wonderful conversation where he got to know us, reviewed our schedule with us, asked our expectations, and truly made us feel comfortable. He ensured we saw all the “Big Five” and so much more, though he made sure to modify our schedule as we desired so we had ample rest time and still saw EVERYTHING we wanted. I must note: while other vehicles were chasing behind each other in pursuit of animals, he seemed to know where they would be so we were able to wait quietly and have a front row view when the animals came - he is the BEST!! If you can, try to have him as your guide and I guarantee you will be happy!
Vehicle: Our vehicle was very comfortable and adapted with every connivence you need including phone chargers and a fridge! We saw other vehicles at rest areas and our Lion King vehicle was MUCH better. The vehicle was clean every morning and restocked with drinks - zero negatives!
Add-ons: We added a night game drive, morning hot air balloon ride, and visit to a Masai village. We agreed these are essential to having the best experience possible. This was our first balloon ride and words we came up to describe it are serene, remarkable, and just amazing. It allowed us to see areas vehicles cannot go and because we stayed relatively low, we could see everything so clearly. The night game drive in Tarangire let us see so many animals you will not see in the day - the Janet Cat is beautiful. The Masai village and meeting them was an overall amazing experience - do it and you will be happy.
Other: We did a private tour and it is hands down the way to go. We met people from group tours at different areas and there was a bit of frustration from them as they waited on a bird watcher in their group to take pics while they all wanted to move on - we moved when we wanted and the tour was all about us! Also, we rode in a group vehicle for a short distance on the way to the balloon ride, and while it was fine, I could not imagine sharing one with strangers for a whole safari.
Final Thoughts: This was our most memorable trip after being to MANY other countries, and it was Lion King Adventures who did all the hard work. If you’re considering a safari, make sure you can do it privately (couple or group) and try your hardest to go with Lion King Adventures - at least see their quote and I’m confident you will be impressed. They were not the cheapest quote I received, or the most expensive, but as I get ready to leave Tanzania today I can say the value was more than there (lodging alone) and I could not imagine going with another company. Lastly, I’m not receiving anything for this review, and it is the full truth. We had such an amazing experience, we wanted to make sure we gave credit.

Excellent, best trip my wife and I could have wished for. Made our honeymoon super special
My wife and I wanted to go on safari as part of our trip to east Africa for our honeymoon. It’s safe to say we could not have had a better experience booking through Ongeri Expediations in particular with Zippy who was our tour operator. She was fantastic, always on hand to support with anything we needed, her communication was great always keeping us updated as and when we needed information.
Ongeri booked us onto Kichwa Tembo camp in Masai Mara and it’s safe to say it was the best 4 days my wife and I had every experienced and we cannot wait to go back already, and will definitely be using ongeri Expediations and zippy to support us on our next trip!
It was great value for money and we would highly recommend anyone to use them if they are thinking about booking safari!
We even booked the hot airballon add on which is a must! Unfortunately it was cancelled on the day due to the wind which was out of everyone’s control but zippy was on hand straight away to ensure we were seamlessly booked onto the hot airballon experience the very next day and we managed to have the best experience we have ever had floating over the Masai Mara and seeing it in all its glory. We are very grateful for zippy help throughout our entire experience and look forward to using ongeri and working with zippy again!

Awesome Experience
Our 3 days safari with our guide Ludo was such an amazing experience. Ludo knew all about wildlife and was very looking to satisfy everybody's wish in the car. He was always on the look out for all the wildlife and to serve us the best possible way.
I would have loved to stay more than 3 days, so that we would have had less driving and able to visit also Tarangire national part and maybe Lake Mynara, but we were tight on days
Deo Robert (the tour operator) and Ludo our tour guide both suggested it but we could do otherwise
Although we manage still to see all the big 5 -and even more and more wildlife
Moyo Tent was a unique wildlife tent experience- welcomed us with a traditional song, refreshing cloth and a drink. You experience both sunset and sunrise in the true wild and also hear and see wildlife closeup (we had 3 dikdiks in front of our tent - and could hear sounds of animals at night which was awesome)
The Retreat at Ngorogoro was on another level - amazing luxury and ambience - well needed after all very long day in the wild looking for animals and dusty roads

Amazing safari experience with Polecat in Tanzania
We had an unforgettable safari experience with Polecat in Tanzania. Our driver and guide, Manfred, was exceptional. He is a nice, easygoing guy who always exudes positive vibes and eagerly shares his expertise.
James, the owner, was very responsive and quick in suggesting the perfect itinerary and places to stay.
For anyone looking for a stress-free adventure to discover the incredible wildlife and culture of Tanzania, we highly recommend Polecat.

Incredible experience in 4 days gorilla’s tour
Ronald is a really nice and kind guide in these four days. Not only his professional experience but his welcome warm smile. During the trip, he let us know the culture differences between Rwanda and Uganda. It was great communication during driving time. Also, the time management are quite well to let us always can catch up the trekking on time. We saw a lot of golden monkeys, one silverback gorilla and even the baby one! He definitely not just tour guide but as a friend in Uganda! Awesome tour I will never forget!

After a few admin issues, the Safari was absolutely excellent
We did a five day tour with Kelvin visiting both Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater.
The tour was extremely good and we saw the migration along with a huge number of species including the “Big Five”.
As well as being a great guide, spotting animals we had missed, Kelvin was an extremely safe and reliable driver

Dream holiday come true
This was our first ever organised holiday and it was perfect. From the moment I started talking to the team at Wayfairer, our itinerary planning, the travel pack and support throughout. Each destination was unique, each camp just wonderful with incredible teams, guides, trackers, and facilities. Each lived up to the expectations and then. The wealth of knowledge shared with us out on safari was incredible and helped us understand the environments we were exploring. At each location we saw different animals, birds and plant life. The sounds of each camp were completely different. Each and every sunset special.

Spectacular Safari Adventure
Spectacular, wonderful, awesome! My safari with Adventure Makers Tanzania quickly became a highlight of my life. Every aspect of the adventure was curated to perfection. My desires, needs and budget were all fully met. Stephen, guide and managing director was an absolute pleasure to work with and added a positive, enthusiastic and fun-loving vibe to the experience. In addition to seeing the Big-5, saw too many colorful birds and other animals to count. I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about my safari. Unforgettable experience in Uganda!
We approached Kajie safaris to provide us with a complete package for our holiday in Uganda which included game drives, community visits, experiences with the primates and every other detail required. Our entire trip was overseen by Ronald who provided us with a very reasonable price and kept us informed of every detail in advance of our trip and during. We were given plenty of opportunity to tailor our trip to our needs and did so with their knowledge and experience. Our guide for the trip - Colly - met us at the airport and was with us the entire trip. Our experience with Kajie was absolutely fantastic. Every aspect of our trip was run very smoothly with Colly building a great relationship with us throughout the journey. He was knowledgeable and friendly with a great sense of humour and we honestly would recommend everyone to request him as their guide should they choose Uganda!
There is not a single thing we can say could have been improved, Kajie were proactive and highly responsive to our needs and requests. Our transport, hotels and food organised were exceptional and they organised every aspect of our trip. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best opportunity to see the primates and every species we could want to see with excellent opportunities to photo and video them.
Colly's local knowledge was brilliant and ensured we had a smooth trip from start to finish. These guys are a 10 out of 10 for us and, whilst other tour companies may be good, from experience we would recommend anyone and everyone that can to go to Uganda, book with Kajie, and ask for Colly to be their guide! Amazing stuff :)
