30-Day safari...we couldn't have asked - wow, what a fabulous tour we had!
My husband and I are retired living in the U.S.A but we try to travel the world and decided to visit Namibia. I researched several tour sites and Blue Crane Safaris showed up more than several times. I contacted them and wow, what a schedule we worked out together. Our tour started with a standard 15 day trip and expanded to 30 days by the time we added all the sites my husband and I wanted to visit. Derek at Blue Crane Safaris was professional, prompt, informative, and was totally interactive to all our requests - and there were many. We planned a trip that covered the depth and breath of Namibia. During the process, Covid hit - travel was at a stand-still, reservations were hard to come by, but with Derek, we were able to continue the planning process and although we delayed our trip by 1 month, we experienced no issues....Derek was spot-on with all our trip arrangements. Our guide (Me-Gusto) was fabulous. He was prompt, professional, experienced, and so much fun to be with. When you are with a guide for 30 days, you better like each other. Me-Gusto loves geology, animals, history, plants, trees, and the environment. He was able to provide more information that we could have ever imagined. When we had to alter the schedule slightly because of the closure of locations, Me-Gusto ensured we were informed promptly and had back up plans ready. Without a doubt, Blue Crane Safaris, Derek Jacobs, and Me-Gusto made our trip to Namibia absolutely special. In fact, we were so pleased with their services, we decided to stay an extra month and utilize their self-drive rental vehicles and take a personal trip to a few areas we still wanted to see that were not on the schedule. Again and again, they proved their services were exceptional and we would recommend them should you wish to travel to Namibia with a company that is reliable, reasonably priced, professional, and the nicest people we have met!

Jose, is an extraordinary operator exceeding expectations ensuring a once in a lifetime experience.
I recently had the pleasure of traveling with Mond Safaris in Uganda. My tour operator was Jose. I travel extensively and can say that rarely have I traveled with an operator I enjoyed more. First, he is incredibly personable and immediately goes out of his way to be sure his clients are comfortable. He is obviously very knowledgeable in regards to Uganda as a country, wildlife, the primates, lodging etc. Of note, in Uganda one of the most popular and "do not miss" experiences is trekking with the mountain gorillas. They are, however, a 10 hour drive from Kampala. I was set up on a flight to the location while Jose drove to ensure we had a car! This is one example of going out of his way for client comfort and satisfaction. On wild life drives he was always on the lookout for everything and anything we could see. The accommodations were amazing with breathtaking views and incredible service.
Worth mentioning is Jose's knowledge beyond what I've expected from a tour guide. He is a specialist when it comes to vehicles and will guarantee that an issue that arises will be taken care of. In the morning you will see him hard at work cleaning the vehicle before the clients are even awake, checking the oil, water and tires and at the ready to retrieve your luggage. He doesn't even wait for the staff at the lodge for assistance. He takes care of your every need. I couldn't recommend him more. I give him 10 out of 5 stars!

Felt the tour was tailormade for me and was made to feel comfortable, special and safe.
I really enjoyed the service, I was provided by First Class Africa in arranging for my visit to Zanzibar.
While recognizing the difficulties of the pandemic, they made sure I was comfortable and safe as possible and giving me the ease to actually enjoy my stay.
Their choices of places to visit are impeccable and I particularly enjoyed the blend of the local Zanzibari experience and the tourist attraction.

Excellent budget safari
We booked the 8 day Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli safari. The price was excellent. Communication with Amos was instant and he was always responsive even 12 time zones away. Pickup was prompt on safari day. The safari van was better than others I saw from other operators. Our van was just like the Land Rover seats-4 single pilot seats and bench in the back row with pop up roof. Comfortable and reliable ride also. Our guide Edward was very personable and accommodating.

I have been on many safari holidays in Kenya and beyond. My ‘Out of Africa’ with Wilber Safari Holidays was outstanding and to be honest if I was going to do a safari in Kenya I wouldn’t choose anybody else after experiencing this company. The organisation was perfect, from booking right through to the trip. I had quite a lot of questions before the trip and the team were very efficient and made sure all my needs were met. They are a small independent company and clearly work hard to make their customers leave wanting more. Amazing accommodation and brilliantly knowledgeable and friendly guides. Could not fault them! Wonderful experience
Everything was great, good hotel including one excellent lodge. We ate really well during the safari and at the hotels.
The guide was really nice and answered all our questions and even more.

Incredible! Great experience that far exceeded expectations
A Tanzanian Safari had been a bucket list trip and Adelle at Discover Africa and Solly, our guide, made it better than we could have ever imagined! A few highlights:
- Flexibility: we had to adjust dates and itineraries several times given personal conflicts and Adelle flexed with us at every step, offering thoughtful recommendations to make sure we’d be able to have the best possible experience.
- Overall Service: from pre booking until we were back home, we felt genuinely cared about and like we were in great hands. Solly went out of his way to take routes and find spots off the beaten path to see the hard to find animals- answered our endless questions, all while doing some of the most impressive driving weve ever seen!
- Attention to Detail: Adelle reviewed our all arrangements in detail, catching an error I had made with flights and time zones that could have resulted in missing a full day- but was avoided thanks to her. Every detail was perfect at every step. Food, bed types, custom pieces of the itinerary, etc.
- Safety: it was of course a little disconcerting traveling during Covid and with my father who had only been out of the country once before- but the team was excellent and guided us through Covid requirements with ease and made us feel safe at every step, staying in constant contact and being very responsive.
- Accommodations- far exceeded expectations and were beyond what we imagined, perfectly capturing the essence of an African safari. We lucked out that on several of the nights we were the only guests on property- so had over the top service. A reason to book before tourism comes surging back!
Value- we knew this would be a bit of a pricy trip, but Adelle worked with us to get what we felt was a great overall value within our budget. She helped recommend where to pull back and where to spend more on hotels, activities, etc and her advice was excellent. Worth every penny.
