Stunning trip around the Rainbow Nation!
5/5

My wife and I went to South Africa for our honeymoon. We decided to go with Shikwaru Adventures for a 26-days tour around the country and it was simply amazing! We got to see a big part of the country.
From pickup at the airport to our departure everything was organised. We stayed at amazing lodges or reserves, did stunning game tours (and saw so many animals), whale watching, cultural visits...
Federica (our guide) had a very impressive knowledge of the country and places. We loved the fact that it wasn't all timed, but she let us enjoy it at our own rhythm and pace (and also letting us be alone to celebrate our honeymoon with romantic dinners for example). She was also really reactive and had always a Plan B in case of weather conditions (we couldn't do our planned whale watching because of the weather but she managed to change the schedule and got to do it later on without compromising anything else).

In summary, it was just the perfect honeymoon trip and I highly recommend Shikwaru Adventures! You won't regret it!!

Wonderful!
5/5

Grassrootz is a great organisation. The safari was put together completely to our wishes and lived up to the expectations. The tour guide was extremely friendly and really tried his best, especially during setbacks (like cartrouble). The safari was amazing and I would definitely recommend it!

Amazing safari!
5/5

We went on a 13-day safari in November. The communication with Grassrootz was very good. Sander gave us the iternity which was very clear. I also skyped with Sander before i went on safari for the questions i had. Paul, our guide, was a very good spotter and we saw the whole big five. We enjoyed the trip so much! Paul also helped us with everything we need (for example: local transport for someone who only went with us on safari for 5 days) Thank you so much Sander & Paul!

The contact was nice, but then there were no bookings, no one at the airport. We had to make last minute arrangements and pay all over again.
Oen Africa Safaris are a scam!!!

This specialist trip for our group exceeded all expectations and delivered all that we asked for
5/5

Rob was not only knowledgeable about the country but grasped quickly and enthusiastically what we really wanted from the trip. During our stay we were accompanied by a professional tour manager (Eperlan) and an excellent Madagascan reptile and amphibian expert (Nicky). We were also grateful to the drivers that had some difficult but exciting terrain to negotiate and the many local guides whose knowledge of the rainforest was amazing. From the smallest chameleon and tree frog to large plated lizards and tree boas, over 70 species were seen, not to mention all the lemurs, birds and invertebrates. The call of the Indri was a special moment for all of us despite our love of amphibians and reptiles.

The accommodation throughout the trip was excellent, especially at Manafiafy Beach & Rainforest lodge. The private solar powered bungalows were luxurious and you could step out onto a deserted beach for a swim every morning and watch the sunset in the evening. The meal on our last night was memorable and we ate freshly caught oysters and lobster accompanied by fine wines.
On behalf of the group I unreservedly recommend TMA if you want to comfortably experience Madagascar and it's unique wildlife. Thank you Rob.

Best ever life experience of Zumbe Safari.
5/5

Hi Folks,

Zumbe is the best wildlife safari operator in Tanzania with an immense laudation!!!. I went to Tanzania with zero knowledge and with whatever attitude. However, the Safari experience and friendship I got from my Zumbe Safari staffs and Tour operator was amazing. They very nice and friendly people who are ready to work with you. They made my stay pleasant, enjoyable and memorable. The hospitality and outgoing personality of Sammy, his brother and Co-owner( forgive me forgot your name) made me feel that they are my brothers from another mother. much nice things to say about these people ......

The Safari operator name was Gervas, he was such amicable person with great sense of humor, excellent driving skill, great sense of locating the wild animal, smooth driver and full of patience. I did three gaming reserve and they are allllllll awesome!!!.
Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. They are all great gaming reserve that I saw a lot of wild life and had great experience. My recommendations, if you are focusing on Elephants got to Tarangire, if you like bird watching lake Manyar and the heavenly Ngorongoro crater has it all collections as a GOD's reserve. Many beautiful and priceless picture and memory from these places that I am gonna post it in my future website.

AND YES YOU WILL HAVE ONCE YOUR LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE WITH ZUMBE SAFARI OWNERS AND OPERATOR AT A REASONABLE AND COMPETTIVE PRICE(VERY AFFORDABLE). YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT PERIOD!!!

I will have my review in google and tripadvisor for sure..

Incredible 50th birthday celebration!! Fantastic safari trip to S.Africa/Namibia
5/5

I worked with Tanya Drummond. She was very communicative, with loads of helpful advice, having stayed at many of the safari resorts we discussed. I was traveling to Africa for the first time and Tanya's knowledge as a local was invaluable to me. I think I underestimated the enormity of the continent, but Tanya helped me arrange a trip that got me where I wanted to go in a non-taxing manner. The quality of the accommodations was superb and the level of detail Tanya provided to me leading up to the trip were top notch. We communicated for almost a year before my husband and I actually departed. Tanya checked in with me both by email and phone a few times once the trip was underway to make sure everything was going smoothly. I really appreciated that, being so far from home. Giltedge took care of all necessary transfers to and from airports, hotels, etc. Drivers were always on time. The trip was not inexpensive, but it was well worth it, as everything proceeded seamlessly. I hope we can make it back to Africa sometime. I would definitely trust Giltedge again with our travel plans.

Fantastic, perfect, lovely
5/5

We are two old ladies, made a last minute booking for a one week safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Easy. They were able to arrange everything within two days!
We had a very personal contact, they came to see us in the hotel to arrange all. We got a thorough information about the tour program, were asked for any special wishes. They even offered us the driver and car free of charge for one day to visit the central market of Arusha! Once on the way, everything was taken care of by our driver/guide Festo. He was accommodating, knowledgable, and always cool. Even before we knew what we wanted, he already offered it: coffee brake-very good soluble coffee-"P" stop :-), see the leopard, lunch picknick. He never imposed himself, but was there.
On the way to Manyara he offered us an extra tour and lunch in a local village, DO IT. The lunch is organized by the women's organisation, they do the work and benefit, delicious. We saw the fields, the orchards and visited the school, where the kids sang us Frere Jacque, seems to be as popular as Happy Birthday :-) Bring a big bag of sweets or pens and crayons or something with you, they are so happy. Class is about 40 children.
The tented camps =medium range, Tortilis chain, were lovely. Everything was in order, mosquito nets, zippers, no fail. They arrange the schedule according to the needs of the safari tour. When do you want your hot shower? At 6:30? One of the Tanzanians climbs a ladder outside of your tank, pours the hot water in, and shouts "ready hot shower!" and there you go. Lovely. Have you ever heard lions roaring near you, very near you, at night?
We stayed in Tortilis Lake Manyara 1 night, Serengeti Tortilis Camp 2 nights and Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp 1 night. Amazing, what they can put together for lodging, food, drinks and warm welcome in the middle of nowhere. Such lovely people.
The jeep was in very good order, very "comfortable", if you can call that a jeep on a track, always cleaned and well maintained, cool box, WLAN!!!in the middle of nowhere, charger for mobiles, The Works.
The girls from Easy Travel were always in contact with the guide to know, if everything was ok. Our guide was a lot in contact with his friends, the other guides no matter which tour operator, to know, if there was anything special to see. That is how we once arrived at as site, where a Cheetah was hurt through some kind of accident. The National Park Cheetah specialists arrived in short time to take care of the animal. Seems, they have an excellent veterinary hospital.
They do not offer the "See how the Masai live" excursion any more, for a good reason, naaa, don't want it.
Ngorongoro is one of the Wonders of the World. Paradise lost. All different animals living together and supplying each other, if you understand what I mean. Just so great. Festo, our guide, showed us the best places, he has more than 12 years of experience, you be sure to want that.
And, and, and,.... Coming back to Arusha, de-briefing with the girls from Easy Travel office. Agreeable as always.
We had another bad experience with another company before, so we can really, and happily recommend Easy Travel, they are SUCH professionals, aside of being lovely people.
After this we went diving in Pemba and Mafia.
