Knowledgeable
Jonas and his team were fantastic! Very professional and easy to work with. Ben, our driver had excellent driving and animal scouting skills. Our car was the most muddy! (That’s a good thing) We managed to see every animal in our 4 day safari trip (even Rhino!!) and up close with most of them.

Absolutely Incredible - can't recommend enough!
The amount of tour options can honestly be a bit overwhelming, but look no further - I would HIGHLY recommend Africa Tours Adventure for your Uganda trekking experience. Before we even booked with them, they were so easy to work with and Nicholas quickly answered all of our questions and provided a detailed itinerary that could be customized based on our preferences.
Once we were actually on the tour, Levan our driver/guide was phenomenal. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the land and its people and was always willing to answer questions or ask you questions about what you were interested in. You obviously spend a lot of time in the car during this trip, and it never felt like there was a dull moment. Plus, he is an absolutely fantastic driver. The roads in Uganda are a bit all over the place, but he handled them all masterfully. He went out of his way a few times to make sure we saw things that we wanted to see (including an unforgettable lion encounter!!) and kept us to a pretty tight schedule without it ever feeling rushed or forced.
My wife and I did a 5 day gorilla trekking experience, and our only regret is that we didn't have longer! Our journey also included stopes at Kibale to see chimps, a drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park (the boat cruise is an absolute MUST), and kayaking on Lake Bunyonyi. All of our accommodations were next level (Turaco Treetops and Kiho Lodge standing out in particular) and it was so nice to not even have to think about these details.
Thank you to Nicholas, Levan, and everyone else who helped make this possible. We can't recommend them enough, and if you're considering them for your gorilla adventure, you will not be disappointed in choosing them.

The perfect safari experience
It was our first time doing a safari and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The three day itinerary organized by Suricata Safaris was spot on: we got to see everything on our bucket list (including all big 5) on game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro area, courtesy of our expert guide. We were also accompanied by a chef who prepared us absolutely delicious lunches. The accommodation provided was top class, modern hotels in Arusha and tented lodges with excellent facilities and service in the national parks. The Suricata Safaris team was professional, attentive and kind from start to finish. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Suricata makes dreams come true
We just came from one of the top experiences of our life. It feels like words are not enough to describe the absolutely amazing experience we had. We had high expectations to begin with, but even such high expectations were exceeded by Suricata. The organization of the safari was smooth, and you could see that everybody is professional and working to give you a top experience. We started off the first day by seeing lots of animals, something we did not even expect. Our guide, Amir, is super knowledgeable and experienced, and also has insanely good driving skills. He explained so many things to us, about the geography, the animals, the flora, the culture and conditions of the park, that gave us context and created a more complex safari experience. He did his absolute best to give us amazing views, and take us close to see all animals, while also ensuring we are safe and comfortable at all times. We managed to see all the big 5, plus many MANY more. From large numbers of zebras, to prides of lions and flamingoes on the shores of lakes, we did see them all. Amir has incredible eyesight, and made sure we experienced the best.
We had the most amazing lunches, honestly the food was delicious. Hats off to our chef, thank you for feeding us such tasty food, we'll definitely remember the freshly cooked meals!
The parks are so beautiful, your jaw drops at every corner, you're never bored. We got to experience unique things, from a live hunt to seeing up close the most impressive of animals.
The lodges we stayed at were absolutely top notch, super clean, beautiful and comfortable, and the staff were professional and ready to help you with anything and ensure you are safe and comfortable at all times. Not to mention that we were well fed for all our meals, and the staff accomodated our needs :)
Extra thanks to Daniel for being knowledgeable and helping us organise other experiences, Glory for replying to all of my questions with patience, our drivers from the airport and from Arusha to the start of the safari for smooth driving.
Last, but not least, we were lucky to have an amazing group on the safari that we now consider our friends!
Suricata Safaris truly delivered an amazing, once in a lifetime experience that is well worth the cost. Tanzania is a safe and amazing place to travel to when you leave the planning to professionals like Suricata!

AMAZING SAFARI
I had such a fantastic time discovering Uganda visiting Murchison falls, trekking Chimpanzees and seeing Gorillas in the wild. My guide Charles was incredible in introducing me to the Ugandan culture and made the tour extremely memorable.

Great lions safaris provided amazing service with a wonderful tour guide. I highly recommend it!
I recently travelled on a 10-Day Wildlife Adventure, Gorillas and Chimps Safari From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. Great lions safaris was extremely professional at all times. Prior to booking, they were very helpful with addressing any queries I had and made the whole booking process very easy. After booking, my flight was unexpectedly changed pushing back my arrival to Uganda by 12hours but Great lions safaris was very accommodating by pushing back my tour start time. Any queries I had in relation to the tour were very quickly answered and addressed
In terms of the tour itself, this was incredible. Uganda is a beautiful country with so much to offer. I had a custom itinerary which involved gorilla trekking in Bwindi, chimp trekking in Kibale National Park, game drives/boat trips in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park. I also got to interact with local communities and see what life is like in different parts of Uganda.
My guide Dominic was a great person and very knowledgeable about Uganda and I learned a lot about the country from him. There were some long drives but he made the experience very easy and enjoyable with lots of stopovers and jokes
The accommodation and meals were of a high standard
Overall I would highly recommend choosing Great lions safaris as your preferred Tour operator and Uganda as a travel destination in the world
Amazing tour through Uganda (Pearl of Africa) with Great lions safaris
I spent 7 days travelling through Uganda mainly for Gorilla trekking experience Before I booked the journey, Great lions safaris gave me all the necessary information about the tour and was excellent. Justus always came back to me very quickly every time I had a question and helped with everything he could.
Once I arrived in Uganda my guide Godfrey picked me up at the airport and the journey began.
I really had the most awesome time in Uganda. Godfrey was such an amazing guide, who took very good care of me and always went the extra mile to make this trip unforgettable.
He had such a great knowledge of the wildlife, the people and every aspect of this beautiful country that a visitor could ask for. There was nothing else that I could have asked for.
This was a trip that I would live to cherish and I would highly recommend Great lions safaris for the excellent work done towards helping me out during my stay in Uganda
How Uganda ended up as our favorite ever Travel destination
I rarely get to write reviews, but our trip to Uganda was so fantastic that the chance to relive it a month and so later in a review was too good to pass up.
My wife and I were looking to travel to Uganda principally to see the Gorillas in Bwindi, and then to see as much other wildlife as we could while we were there. We requested a number of quotes from a variety of tour operators, but Great lions safaris stood out for the responsiveness of their communication, the clear detail in their general itineraries. We settled on one of their stock itineraries that would take us via Kibale-Queen Elizabeth-Bwindi-Mburu to do a variety of different wildlife experiences including the chimps and gorillas. They were very responsive in answering any questions both before and after booking. I have to say I did feel slightly apprehensive about making the quite large payments, but I was able to do this on a credit card (for a small additional fee) which gave me the confidence to send this off to a company I’d discovered only a few weeks earlier. I probably needn’t have worried.
When it came to our tour itself, I think it’s safe to say pretty much everything exceeded our expectations. We were collected promptly from our hotel in Entebbe by our guide Dominic, who then stayed with us for the remainder of our 9 days tour along with the 4x4 vehicle that was our private vehicle. Dominic was genuinely fantastic and really made our trip in so many ways, he was very knowledgeable about all the things we did, and managed some of those animal spottings where you just don’t know how someone with regular human eyes could’ve possibly spotted them, a pair of lions in a cactus tree in Queen Elizabeth national park was a particular highlight.
In terms of the other elements of the tour, all our accommodation was in the “nice budget” category, and these were all to a good standard with most having some real wow factor. Particularly the view from the Eagles Nest lodge in Mburo, which was the eventual winner of our favourite lodge award, in what was a pretty close contest. The food everywhere we stayed was plentiful, tasty and had enough variety to keep us happy, but probably isn’t what you’ll be reminiscing about.
I will just finish by noting that whilst the tour we did, did involve a lot of driving 4 or 5 hours every other day on average, the whole itinerary generally felt really well paced ad was worth it.

Once in a life time experience
I did a 4 days safari tour with Suricata Safaris and I would gladly recommend them. Everything was handled professionally and they are very well organized and great at what they are doing. I would especially like to thank our guides Amir and Pius for taking care of every details and putting so much effort to make our time as best as possible. They were truly wonderful! This trip is once in a life time experience indeed!
