Top service, guide with long experience and knowledge. The safari met all our expectations. Super!
5/5

We are very satisfied with everything, they tailored our Safari according to our preferences (family with 2 kids, age 9 and 12), communication was very smooth and service excellent. Our driver James had so much knowledge about the wildlife and the parks we visited (Serengeti and Ngorongoro) and he was very responsive to our needs and wishes.
The safari met all our expectations and we warmly recommend Tanzania Roadside Expeditions to anyone planning for a Safari in Tanzania. Thank you so much, Paul and James!

Journey through Kenya with the best eyesight and hospitality around!
5/5

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Great Migration safari with Game Whisperers Adventures and the good fortune of having Wyclef Odera as my guide. His knowledge, professionalism and hospitality were only matched by the apparent passion and pride he has for his job, the wildlife and his country. He was a joy to spend time with (which is SO important), made me laugh and I learned so much from him during our time together. I swear he has the best eyesight in Africa and never ceased to amaze with his ability to spot wildlife at all hours. He is the reason I loved my Kenyan safari and why I would return in a heartbeat.

Maasai Wanderings - THANK YOU!
5/5

Dear Maasai Wanderings:

Wanted to tell you about the wonderful experience I had with my companion during our trip to Tanzania last month. Barb and I worked with Yellow Zebra to craft our ideal safari experience, and Maasai Wanderings was an integral part of our trip.

We started in Arusha, where Jamal picked us up and took us to Tarangire Park. We immediately felt very comfortable with Jamal, who is both very expressive, knowledgeable and funny. He had a wealth of information at his fingertips (in the form of books) throughout our time with him, and was able to answer almost all of our many questions.

Ndovu Camp was an excellent experience, especially at the start of our trip. We enjoyed the food very much, and were pleasantly surprised that Barb was given a birthday cake on our first evening there. Shout out to Nicholas, who is a gracious host. Waking up with 19 wildebeest outside our tent on the far side of the camp was an amazing experience, especially given that we were wakened by soft footsteps at around 4:30 in the morning, and waited with bated breath to see what was outside!

Jamal was an excellent companion on our way to Lake Manyara, prior to which we stopped at a Maasai boma, near Mto wa Mbu, and then rode bikes through a banana plantation to the Lake. Our experience in Ngorongoro Crater was incredible; we were absolutely blown away by the scale of the place, along with the concentration of wildlife.

Leaving Jamal for the Serengeti was bittersweet; we really enjoyed exploring with him and want you to know that we think he is a fantastic guide. Later, we were pleasantly greeted in the north by Hauth, who is a super pleasant, polite and articulate young man. As luck would have it, within two hours of landing, Hauth guided us to a crossing spot where we witnessed an incredible river crossing that left Barb and I speechless. An absolutely unforgettable experience, followed shortly after by a massive rainstorm.

We want to highlight KasKaz Camp as a gem in the middle of the Serengeti. We both think it is an incredible camp, especially with its expansive view to the east. A special thank you to Hassan and Daniel, who are both incredibly friendly, professional, and warm hosts. Hassan has an amazing positive energy that is contagious and genuine. Daniel is a wonderful person; gentle, smart, and just fun to be around in the lounge area. Both are assets to your company. They made our experience that much more amazing. I had the good fortune to take a hot air balloon ride with Hassan one morning, and it is an experience I'll never forget. Barb and I were also moved by the 'sundowner' goodbye experience, the evening before we departed KasKaz for Zanzibar.

The guides and the accommodations provided by Maasai Wanderings and Nasikia Camps exceeded all the expectations Barb and I had for our trip. The hospitality and camaraderie at both camps feels very genuine; neither scripted, nor forced, but very personal. KasKaz Camp, in particular, felt VIP all the way, with attentive staff, and attention to detail. We felt like movie stars!

We will absolutely recommend your company to anyone that asks us for advice planning an African safari. Thank you so much for the professionalism of your staff; our trip would not have been the same without meeting Jamal, Hauth, Hassan, Daniel, and everyone else that is part of your excellent team.

Thank you!

Perfect safari experience in hands of caring experts!
5/5

My entire coordination was with Tom Ocharo who provided timely response and advices. The tour was just amazing thanks to driver Mansour. Mansour is a very professional and considerate driver and tour guide. His knowledge of animals, nature and willingness to do his best so that we could maximize our safari experience and see as much as possible of the animals in action is truly appreciated. I have also forgotten my binocular in the van at the end of the tour. Mansour took the trouble to drive back to my hotel to return it without me asking for it. I am truly impressed with their professionalism, honesty and genuine intensions to make our safari experience unforgettable. Contact Tom so you too can have an amazing safari at a very affordable price.

Stephen, an extremely knowledgeable guide led us on our 4-day gorilla safari and lifetime dream.
5/5

We were picked up at our hotel in Kampala at 6 AM, which began our 4-Day Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari. For close to 8 hours we traveled towards our first days destination of Queen Elizabeth NP, passing through towns and villages loaded with views of people, housing, agriculture and businesses. Our first glances at the beauty of Uganda. Arrived at our lodging for a lunch stop before taking a late afternoon cruise on Kazinga Channel, where we were treated to sightings of elephants, hippos, buffalo, birds and more. Returned to lodging for a delicious dinner and some discussion with Stephen, our guide, about what tomorrow would bring.
Day 2 had us driving through the Queen Elizabeth NP in the morning where we spotted our first of many lions, lots of zebra and giraffes also. The afternoon had us driving to Bwindi Impenetrable NP where we will view the gorillas tomorrow.
Day 3, Gorilla Trekking! Started, by meeting at NP headquarters for the Bwindi region, to learn about the gorillas and what Uganda is doing to help protect these amazing primates. A successful trek into the mountain forest, as we viewed a family of 7 gorillas both in trees and on the ground. With a successful viewing, it made the climb out of the forest, we are at approximately 9,000 feet up, a little easier. Ending our trek, we then heading for Lake Bunyonyi and our last night out. What was unexpected about our lodging was that we would be having to travel to our lodging by boat. We would be lodging on an island on the lake.
Day 4, we were to meet Stephen for our journey back to Kampala. First, however, we took a boat tour around a part of the lake viewing other islands and learning a little history regarding a couple of Islands. Heading to Kampala and being dropped off at our hotel to complete 4 wonder out days.
We felt lucky to have Stephen as our guide. He was so knowledgeable, having spent some years working both in Queen Elizabeth NP and at Bwindi NP. He was an important part in making to Safari successful. We would surely request Stephen again should we journey to Uganda for another safari someday.
We knew nothing about Prime Safari when we started searching for an Uganda Gorilla safari, but our feeling is this; We Chose Well!
