Lack of Integrity
1/5

I made a deposit for a trip to Chad for 2023 (cannot remember exact date but late March to early April). The deposit was $2000 a lot of money. However, when the time approached for the final payment, I had severe misgivings as I was worried about the security situation in Chad. I ultimately chose not to go. Even though I canceled after the deadline, the operator assured me that he would work things out in some way, either by replacing me with someone else wherein I would get my deposit back or offering me a discount on a future trip. Neither of these actions occurred and to this day, I have never again heard from the operator. However, I did confirm that he found someone else to take my place while obviously keeping my deposit and never informing me about this. I think this bespeaks of a total lack of integrity and shady business practices, as well. I have told many people about this situation and every single one agreed that this was bad business protocol, renege on a promise to work with me, and all stated they would never use this company, as I will also not use. I will also not book any trip with any tour operator who partners with this company, of which I am well acquainted with one. Beware and be forewarned of shady businesses like Pictus Safaris.

Fantastic Safari and the Best Guide
5/5

Our guide met us at the border as we’re in Kenya for the previous week. Wazeer was our guide throughtout Tanzania and he simply amazing. He met us at the border right on time and took care of everything for my wife and I. We toured Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tanangire before dropping us back at the border back into Kenya.
Wazeer was amazing driving us in a great vehicle and his knowledge was unbelievable. Information on his country, the wildlife, the different areas, the trees and landscape. The”Professor” was amazing and proud of everything in the different parks and he taught Wendy and I a lot. A safe driver and always aware of his position with the animals. Helped us with the photography and video work. We ate many meals with him and learned more about him, his family and his country. I would highly recommend Wazeer and his company for all your safari needs in Tanzania as nobody knows it as well. We started as a tour but ended up with a new life long friend. Thank you for the best safari ever.

Amazing!
5/5

This was definitely a once in a lifetime trip. From the moment we got off the plane at the airport, nothing was too much trouble.
Bernard was with us every step of the way, making us feel safe and welcome. He was prompt and always there to help. He was an all round wonderful tour guide. He knew loads about the areas we drove through and everything about the animals we saw on the safari. We had the most amazing time all thanks to Bernard and his kind hearted nature. Thank you x

Experience of a lifetime!
5/5

We did a 7-day Uganda safari with Jamal in October 2023. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Uganda in the future. Jamal was a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and we felt safe at all times throughout the tour. Excellent value for money!

Amazing safari trip from Masaai Mara to Amboseli safaris. Good and professional services. Each driver is the skill hunter which help us to see many kinds of wild animals. We have seen the action movie between lion and chamois in Masaai Mara and giraffes dances in sunrise in Amboseli. Must join and absorb the great moments which no words can be detailed.

I did a budget tour with Home to Africa and Benon was our guide. Just an amazing experience. I went for the gorilla trekking and came back with so much more. Once in a lifetime experience. Saw so much other wildlife! The Batywa community was so interesting. All staff at our accommodations were so welcoming. Benon our guide was amazing always looking out for our best experiences. Go to Uganda it’s an amazing experience!!

We went to Gombe NP (amazing chimps) and Selous Game Reserve. As it rained during all of our stay, the second safari experience was terrible. No animals, roads in the worst of conditions possible. 7 hours from Far Es Salaam are too many for this park. next time I would spend more and go to Serengeti, at least the money would worth it more.
Generally speaking Tanzania is quite expensive

Amazing park and chimps, although The two hour journey by boat could be an adventure in case or bad weather.
Regarding the organisation: Don't book the luxury tents. I booked and paid for one and they didn't give me, as it was "already booked". I didn't get any type of refund. That's embarrassing.

Just avoid this park (at least in rainy season). I don't know how it is in dry season. No animals, terrible roads , and 7 hours drive from Dar Es Salaam. A proper nightmare.
