Fantastic Experience with Cuckoo Safaris!
We had an excellent experience with Cuckoo Safaris who arranged an 8-day Safari across Zimbabwe and Botswana. We were a group of 10 (two families with kids ranging age 11 to 15 years old) and we traveled in August 2024. We experienced spectacular game drives across several major parks where we saw an amazing array of animals, including a plethora of elephants, lions, leopard, zebra, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeest, cape buffalo, impala, warthogs, plus lots of interesting birds. Interspersed with the game drives were really fun activities like an evening dinner cruise down the Zambezi river, a feast fit for a king during a cookout under the stars at one of the game parks, and a helicopter flight over the Okavanka Delta. What really made the trip fabulous was our guide, Simon, who regaled us with fascinating stories about the animals, as well as educating us about the local customs and culture of the people. He made the whole experience come to life – we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We highly recommend Cuckoo Safaris, both for overall experience and value for money. They were responsive throughout our trip and flexible if we wanted to make tweaks to the itinerary. The only issue we had was in the Okavango Delta after Simon was no longer with us - the tour guide person who was supposed to meet us, Veronica, did not show up. Another person came the next day (Lwe) and he was very good.

Edward is possibly the best Safari guide/driver you could get. This gentleman is the Lion king
Communication was beyond expected, Edwards time keeping was flawless. Edward went above and beyond what was expected and made sure all our questions were answered.
We saw everything we wanted including things we didn’t expect >> A cheetah chase WOW 🐆 >>> hyenas defeating lions 🦁 I could go on and on.
None of the above would have been possible without Edward and his passion and knowledge for the wildlife, I wish him and his family all the best of health and wealth.
If you are looking to book a safari just do it and ask for Edward he will look after you and make you feel safe.

Holiday of a lifetime for me and my 10 year old son
The safari was an amazing experience, with a variety of national parks and of ways of getting about - 4 by 4, boat, cycling and walking safaris. The arrangements were well organised and communications were easy, via email and WhatsApp, always with fast responses. The guide was fantastic - knowledgeable about the parks and wildlife, a great driver, and always cheerful. We saw lots of wildlife, including all of the 'big 5'. The holiday was great value for money. There were two price options and I was glad I went for the more expensive one, so that my son (a swimming-loving fussy eater) could benefit from staying at hotels/lodges with a pool, large, comfy bedrooms and international restaurants.

Amazing memories indeed
The tour arranged by Neville and guided by the driver Simon left nothing for us to complain about. The hotel facilities booked were great and Simon made sure we made the most of our game drives.
We left something in one of the hotels and Neville made sure it reached us even after our arranged tour was over. Highly recommended!
