One of the singularly incredible experiences on the planet

The landscape alone gives you chills, acacia dotting broad plains, with colours and imagery that might be familiar from a nature documentary, but feels deeper, maybe stretching back to man's history in this place.

And then you see the animals. First a giraffe moving in the distance. Then families of elephants, herds of wildebeest and zebras, warthogs, birds. Prides of lions, solitary leopards, mothers and babies. It's all here, and in numbers that make your jaw drop. And what makes it that much more incredible is watching the animals interacting, mostly ignoring your presence and go about their activities in ways that can't be experienced or understood in a zoo. The vastness of this place can give you goosebumps the entire time.

Come ready for heat, for flies, and for bumpy game drives. This is the wild, and it truly is wild, and it's absolutely worth it.

It was well organized from the beginning up to the end. Accommodation, I had to choose low standard one because it is too expensive, but it was fantastic. People are very friendly and helpful. The park is very beautiful and too many animals you could see. Food was good quality and quantity.

Choosing the best park in Africa is like choosing your favorite child! But if one were to choose one park it would be the Serengeti. One thing you will notice as soon as you enter the park is the sheer vastness of the park. When we visited this park in Nov 2014, we got an opportunity to see the big cats. In our three day stay at the park we saw several Cheetahs going on hunt. One with 3 new born cubs. If you do go ask your guide to take to southern Serengeti if you have time as it has far less Jeeps. All the facilities within the park we found were world class.

Serengeti was different than I expected, but you will see the most cats here. It's definitely a place to see in your life.

It's Not One Of The Most Renowned National Parks for Nothing!

Don't miss it! I spent 5 days on Safari in the Serengeti National Park and it was one of the most memorable trips of my life. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and always where the action was! Lions and Cheetahs feasting on their prey was def a highlight.

One thing I was nervous about going into the trip - FOOD. Wow, was I wrong! We had amazing meals every night at each campsite. That being said I'm a peeker and I saw everyone else's food too and they were doing alright themselves. I was more than surprised. So go eat up, then hit Kili!!!

Wonderful wildlife and our guide, Hassan, was awesome! We stayed at 3 different lodges and each was better than the previous. We finished our safari at the Migration Lodge which was simply fantastic!! We could not have been treated better. It exceeded our expectations!!

We went late in May to save on cost. This is the tail end of the rainy season, it rained once! We were with the migration the entire time. We got lucky when they were at our lodges! This was the 3rd trip for me and I will only book with BaseCamp, our guide Chris was awesome! He gave us everything we were looking for. He went the extra mile every day with us. The Serengeti has no match, best park in the world.

Serengeti was my most secluded and scenic experience on Safari.

The accommodations, food and scenery were incredible. I stayed in a luxury tent in the middle of the park- it was very secluded and beautiful. Wildlife surrounded our camp and we could listen to them at night, The food prepared for us was excellent as well. The camp staff was extremely polit.

Charge of the wildebeest

Seeing thousands of wildebeest first line up for as far as they eye could see and then as If on cue to start running and then stopping surrounding our jeep with unforgettable sounds, smells and sights is beyond description. The tented camp is the only way to experience the Serengeti. Everyone who worked there were extra special. The food was outstanding. We had the best guidea possible - very knowledgable and friendly.
Weather in October is perfect - from very dry areas to lush grasslands allowed us to see every animal possible.

Serengeti is just amazing!

Serengeti is so impressively big! There is so much space for the animals (and the tourists!) that at times you do not see any. This means that they have plenty of space and can live naturally. For the first time I saw a leopard as well as a lion up in a tree. We got close to many of the animals from big to small and saw a big variety. We asked our driver/guide if we could do a night game drive, but apparantly it is not allowed in Serengeti. At first it was a disapointment, but it is actually a very good thing! The animals are not disturbed by sharp light during the dark hours.
Serengeti is a great place!
