Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary lies on the southern boundary of Kenya, on the periphery of Tsavo West National Park. It is also within view of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s majestic and highest snow-capped mountain. The sanctuary hosts more than 50 mammal species, including elephants, zebras, Cape buffalos, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and various antelope species. It is also home to more than 390 bird species, including resident, intra-African and Palearctic migrant birds.
