This tour will take you on a climb of Mount Meru, which is located about 20km east of Arusha. Mount Meru is the second highest mountain in Tanzania. It stands at an altitude of 4566m above sea level inside Arusha National Park. There is one route to the top of the mountain. Summiting can be attempted in three days, but we highly recommend four days for acclimatization. Most alpines use Meru for acclimatization before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
