It is famous for huge elephant herds, sightings of lions, cheetahs, hyenas & buffalos. The Masai Mara NR in southwest Kenya is 5–6 hrs by road from Nairobi, with rolling savannah grasslands and riverine forests (Mara & Talek Rivers). It's one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems with high concentrations of lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, giraffe & rhino.
