This tour focuses on the Northern part of Kenya which is less crowded. Samburu is among Kenya’s most scenic reserves, with riverine forest along the lovely Ewaso Nyiro River. It has its own ‘Samburu Five’ which consists of dry-country-adapted mammals that occur in very few Kenyan parks. These are the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, gerenuk (with its elongated neck, it’s able to stand on its hind legs to reach sparse leaves), Grevy’s zebra and Somali ostrich.
