Amboseli is Kenya’s second most popular safari destination known for the iconic safari sight with a large herd of elephants wandering beneath Mt. Kilimanjaro. This magical sight is just the famous part of the experience, it’s a home to a superb array of animals. Amboseli is a Masai word that loosely translates as salty dust this is due to the huge dried-up lake in the center of the park. However, the park advertises itself as the best place in Africa to get close to the elephant herds.
