Among them are the large schools of hippos, and many wildlife animals which are all commonly seen on the mweya Peninsula. The park lies below the shadows of mountain Rwenzori, with a hidden gem of ishasha known for tree climbing lions, Maragambo forest with a diversity of monkeys, birds, crator lakes holding thousands of flamingos, Kyambura Gorgea home to chimpanzee just south to the Kazinga channel.
