Kilimanjaro is with its 5895m the highest freestanding mountain in the world. With the Marangu route it's possible to climb this majestic mountain in 5-6 days. The Marangu Route is the oldest route on Kilimanjaro and is also one of the most popular. It is also known as "the coca cola route", mainly because it is the only route on the mountain that has huts provided for hikers.
