This safari to Samburu National Reserve has a rugged and a dramatic landscape. The Ewaso Nyiro River runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu Reserve. It is home to crocodiles and hippos. A Samburu safari may offer sightings of buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and other plains game. Species of game unique to Samburu National Reserve include the Beisa oryx, the long-necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the blue-shanked Somali ostrich.
