Expect sightings of Samburu’s unique species, such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, as well as elephants, lions, and leopards. Spend a full day exploring the wild and dramatic landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. Begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active, tracking predators and large herds along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation before lunch. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive, searching for Samburu’s rare “Special Five,” Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk, alongside elephants, lions, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife.
