Your safari leader will pick you up, brief you, and drive you to Murchison Falls NP. It is the only park in northwestern Uganda and the biggest of the 10 national parks in the Pearl of Africa.

En route, you’ll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos in their natural environment. The drive from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Murchison Falls National Park via Kichumbanyobo gate is about 2 hours.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, today’s activities range from a morning game drive to a boat cruise with an experienced park guide. First, have an exciting morning game drive via the Northern banks of Murchison Falls NP and see kobs, waterbucks, hartebeests, buffaloes, giraffes and birds.

Today's morning game drive will last 2 to 3 hours. Later, we will have lunch and an afternoon boat cruise to see crocodiles, hippos, and birds (especially cormorants and bee-eaters).

Day 3

Murchison Falls NP to Kibale via Fort Portal

Murchison Falls NP to Kibale via Fort Portal

After an early cup of tea or coffee, you will leave Murchison Falls NP and drive for 6 hours to Kibale National Park, including a lunch stop in Fort Portal City. Then, you will proceed to your booked lodge in Kibale Forest to settle for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest

Enjoy an early cup of tea or coffee. Get briefed at the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre on the chimp tracking guidelines and regulations. Enter Kibale Forest at 8:00 am after you have been allocated to a park guide. The activity takes 2 to 4 hours. Once you find a chimpanzee community, you have an hour to observe the chimpanzees, see how they groom each other, and take photos. Then, walk back to your starting point.

Have lunch at leisure, and in the afternoon, the Bigodi community will be your next area to visit. Enjoy walking in the Bigodi community, spotting various avifaunal species, and relaxing at the lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast, meet your driver guide, drive to Bwindi, and navigate via the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth. Have an optional mini-game drive in the Ishasha sector, with possible sightings of tree-climbing lions. Later, have lunch at Savanna Resort or Topi Lodge before checking into the lodge for an overnight stay in Bwindi NP.

Day 6

Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Forest

Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Forest

Have an early breakfast, and with packed snacks and a bottle of water, proceed to the park offices for a briefing. At 8:00 am, you will start to look for the mountain gorillas. It can take between 2 and 6 hours to locate them. Once you have found them, 1 hour will be enough to observe these intelligent species. Walk back to where you began trekking, get a gorilla trekking certificate, and transfer to the lodge for relaxation.

In the evening, visit the Batwa villages for a cultural tour.

After an early breakfast, we embark on a 2-hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Activities around Lake Bunyonyi include a boat ride, visiting some of the 29 islands, including Punishment Island, nature walks, cultural walks, swimming, or chilling on the shores.

After breakfast, meet your driver guide. Proceed on the 8-hour drive from Kabale to Kampala. Arrive in Mbarara city early for lunch, a photo shoot, and then an experiment at the equator crossing in Mpigi. Proceed to the airport for your drop-off in the evening.
