Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi early in the morning and depart for Samburu National Reserve. Drive north through the dramatic landscapes of Kenya’s highlands, crossing the equator before arriving in Samburu. After check-in at the lodge, there will be hot lunch buffet then enjoy an afternoon game drive where you may spot unique wildlife such as the Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, and reticulated giraffe. With over 450 bird species, Samburu is a birdwatcher’s paradise where there are rare birds such as the vulturine guineafowl and martial eagle. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Spend the day exploring the rugged beauty of Samburu. In the morning The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts abundant wildlife including elephants, leopards, and crocodiles. Delight in a mouth-watering buffet then embark on the the reserve’s stunning scenery, unique wildlife, and golden light make it ideal for photography including excellent chances for close-up shots of elephants, giraffes, leopards and opportunities for sunrise and sunset photography with dramatic backdrops. Optional guided nature walks are possible in neighboring conservancies such as Kalama or Westgate. Revert back to the lodge and feast hot dinner in the evening with views of the reserve from your accommodation.

Day 3

Samburu - Ol Pejeta

After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the Maisha Sweetwaters Camp. Arrive and check-in, you will be served with welcome drink. Tuck into a delicious hot buffet spread at the camp. Afternoon game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary which is Kenya’s only sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees, managed in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute. Spot rhinos, lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. Return to camp, relax by the bonfire. Dinner and overnight at Maisha Sweetwaters Camp.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park with chances to see rhinos, lions, leopards, and a visit to Baboon Cliff.
