In March vegetation was lush, but there was a lot of flooding. Land cruising was in effected by flooding ! Wild animals were less stressed due to abundant grazing. Encounters were numerous, and sometimes surprising. On several occasions, were fortunate to witness rare colors of species.

The only highlight was the accomodation overlooking the lake, the wildlife was extremely poor and we drove there in the middle of the day when it was probably too hot to spot lions.

Great park for birding and other wildlife. We did not see the tree lions though. Not sure if there are any there anymore.

A lot of the park was covered by the expansion of the lake. Many of the animals described in the brochure that I hope to see no longer lived there.

Only here we saw the blue monkeys and a close encounter with an elephant and appreciated the enormous trupeter and ground hornbills and the bushback antelope we saw only here and huge baboon families
