Lake Mburo National Park Best Time To Visit

By Philip Briggs

Excellent    Good    Fair    Poor

Lake Mburo National Park offers decent year-round wildlife viewing. However, the Dry seasons (January to February and June to August) are best, as animals gather around the lakes and other permanent water sources. Wildlife viewing is still OK in the Wet seasons (March to May and September to December), and at this time the park is lush and scenic. Regardless of season, avoid visiting close to full moon if you hope to see a leopard on a night drive.

Best Time January to February and June to August (Dry seasons)
High Season June to September (The peak of the gorilla trekking season, which brings more people to Lake Mburo as well)
Low Season April to May and October to November
Best Weather June to August and January to February (Little rainfall)
Worst Weather March to May and September to November (High rainfall; traveling on roads may become challenging)

January to February & June to August Dry Seasons

March to May & September to December Wet Seasons

Best Time To Go by Major Park
