MY
Commendable effort for a memorable cultural, primate and birdwatching safari experience!
We had an all encompassing 16 days of cultural, primate and birdwatching safari across Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda. Our plan of the safari started off by searching and contacting a few of the tour agents that had good reviews from Safari Booking website. Some deciding factors on tour agent selection were budget, promptness in response and flexibility in itinerary modification to suit our travel plan. Mooi Adventures was ever willing to assist in making my trip come true. We thank them for the commendable effort they have provided us!
The safari highlights on tracking golden monkeys, chimpanzees and gorillas family were well coordinated into the tour with the specialised local park tour guides. We had successful close encounters with these primates. We also saw many other wild animals in the national parks of Uganda with our experienced driver cum guide. Our birdwatching experience was equally amazing with many aquatic bird species including the elusive shoebill storks in Mabamba swamp at Entebbe. The overall tour service provided in sighting as many animals as possible had met our expectation.
Lastly we would definitely recommend Mooi Adventures to anyone who is interested in a memorable primate safari experience in Rwanda and Uganda.

An Unforgettable Encounter: Tracking the Elusive Shoebill Stork and visit at Botanical Garden
Tracking the prehistoric, enigmatic shoebill stork had been at the top of my wildlife bucket list for years. Birders know how elusive and unpredictable these magnificent creatures can be in the dense wetlands, so heading out on the water, my expectations were tempered with cautious optimism. From start to finish, however, this excursion exceeded every imaginable hope.
While the shoebill sighting was the undisputed highlight, what truly elevated this excursion was our phenomenal guide, Shafic.
From our very first greeting, his passion for wildlife conservation and local ecology was infectious.
He didn't just spot wildlife; he interpreted it. His understanding of shoebill and other birds' behavior, nesting habits, and wetland botany added incredible depth to the excursion.
Throughout the trip, Shafic along with our other guide showed friendly demeanor, patience with amateur photographers, and genuine excitement — celebrating right alongside us when we spotted the stork and other birds — made the entire day feel like an adventure with a close friend.
Communication with Shafic and the office was a model one, both before, during and after the excursion day.
Tips for Future Travelers:
Book the early morning departure; the wetland is calm, lighting is gentle, and shoebills are most actively foraging before midday heat sets in.
Bring a telephoto lens or at least decent binoculars, a wide-brimmed hat, insect repellent, and a light windbreaker for the boat ride.
Verdict: An absolute must-do for nature lovers, photographers, and serious birders alike. A flawless, bucket-list adventure that I will cherish forever!

Very personable and knowledgeable
It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The people are so kind, scenery so beautiful, and of course the opportunity to be able to observe these amazing animals in their home is indescribable!
To add to all this my tour guides were knowledgeable and professional, as well as being kind and personable!
I was a young female solo traveller and they made it so I never once felt unsafe!
They went out of their way to make sure I was getting the most out of my short visit and even rearranged the trip when I had flight delays that would’ve caused me to miss activities.
I learned so much and had such a great time with the staff from mooi adventures Uganda and cannot recommend them more!

Visiting Uganda to see gorillas during Easter was truly an unforgettable experience. Mooi perfectly met all my requirements. Although there was a vehicle issue along the way, it was resolved smoothly in the end. On that day, I was the only member of the gorilla group, and it took only 20 minutes to encounter the Mark family—an incredible stroke of luck. Many thanks to Mooi for arranging such a wonderful trip.
