An unforgettable 3-day safari with Somewhere in Africa!
We booked a private 3-day safari in Tanzania, from 25β27 August 2026, for our family of two adults and two children, visiting Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From the first contact until the end of the trip, everything was extremely well organized, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Somewhere in Africa.
The booking process was excellent, and a special mention goes to our sales agent, Nuhu. He was incredibly helpful, professional and responsive, organized everything perfectly and gave us some of the best advice throughout the planning process. His recommendations really helped us make the right choices for our family and get the most out of the safari.
The transfers and flights were also very well organized. The transfer from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport and back was seamless, and the flights between Zanzibar and the Serengeti airstrip with Flightlink, and from Arusha back to Zanzibar with Auric Air, were arranged perfectly.
But what really made our safari exceptional was our driver/guide, Amani. In our opinion, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. During the three days, his experience, knowledge and incredible ability to find wildlife allowed us not only to see the Big Five, but also countless other animals and some truly amazing and unexpected moments.
One of the highlights came already on our first day, when we witnessed something quite rare and spectacular β a lioness hunting gazelles. It was an incredible experience and something our whole family will remember for a very long time.
The timing of our trip was also fantastic, as we were lucky enough to experience the Great Migration. Seeing such a spectacular natural phenomenon in the Serengeti was simply unforgettable.
The accommodation during the two nights was also very good. We stayed at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp and Ngorongoro Corridor Lodge, and we were very pleased with both.
Choosing a private safari was definitely the right decision for our family. The Toyota Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof provided plenty of space and comfort for the four of us, but, more importantly, it allowed us to adapt the daily schedule to our family's needs without having to depend on other people.
Another experience that we highly recommend was the visit to a Maasai village as we entered the Ngorongoro Corridor. This was an incredibly interesting and authentic experience, both for us and especially for our children. Although this was an additional activity at $25 per person, as clearly stated from the beginning, it was absolutely worth it.
Our children had an amazing time throughout the safari. Amani was incredibly patient with them and gave them lots of explanations, making sure they understood what they were seeing and why it was important. They felt safe at all times, even during those exciting moments when some of the animals came surprisingly close to the vehicle!
Overall, this was a wonderful and unique experience for our entire family, and one we will remember for many years to come. We would especially recommend Somewhere in Africa to families travelling with children β they were professional, reliable and genuinely committed to making our safari special.
A huge thank you to Nuhu and Amani for making this adventure such an unforgettable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better safari! π¦ππ¦ππ

Magnificent moment
We had an absolutely amazing 2-day safari in Tanzania! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations.
The landscapes were absolutely stunning, and we were lucky enough to see so many animals throughout the safari. It was truly an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania.
The lodges where we stayed were also fantastic, very comfortable, beautiful, and perfectly chosen for the safari. The whole organization was smooth and professional, so we could simply relax and enjoy every moment.
A special thank you to our guide, Charles, who was absolutely great! He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable.
We highly recommend this safari to anyone visiting Tanzania. Beautiful landscapes, incredible wildlife, great accommodation, and excellent organization. An unforgettable experience! π¦ππ¦πΉπΏ

A relaxed, helpful and flexible tour guide
Our Regent Safari trip was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was well organized, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. We appreciated the attention to detail and friendly staff. Especially the help from Charles, Nari and the owner Allan himself. A flight delay was no problem and the transport to the hotel could be shifted very flexibly. It was a fantastic trip that we would happily recommend to others.
