Amazing tour operators and loved the team

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Kajie Safaris on our Uganda trip, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Uganda or elsewhere in Africa.

From the very beginning, Ronald, our safari director, was extremely accommodating and helpful. We had to change our travel dates, and the entire process was handled so smoothly. Communication throughout was excellent, and the trip was planned very thoughtfully. Whenever we wanted to make changes or had specific requests, Ronald was always happy to suggest alternatives and help us make the best decisions for our trip.

A special mention to our driver, Brian, who truly made the experience even more memorable. He was incredibly kind, patient and accommodating. At one point, we needed to stop to buy a knee brace, and Brian went completely out of his way to help us with it. He was always smiling and happy-go-lucky, and genuinely made the long drives so much more enjoyable.

What we particularly loved was that Brian didn’t just feel like a driver. He took a genuine interest in us and our lives, while also sharing wonderful stories about his own life and Ugandan culture. Those conversations added so much depth to our journey and gave us a much better understanding of the country and its people.

And, of course, he was an excellent driver — safe, confident and exceptionally good on the roads.

Overall, we were extremely happy with Kajie Safaris, Ronald and Brian. The organisation, communication, flexibility and personal attention were all fantastic. If you’re planning a trip to Uganda, I would wholeheartedly recommend Kajie Safaris — and if you’re lucky enough to have Brian as your driver, you’re in for an even more memorable experience!

Our experience with Kajie Safaris in Uganda was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized, and the value for money was exceptional.

A huge part of what made the trip so special was our guide, Brian. He was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about Uganda and its wildlife. Thanks to him, we had some unforgettable experiences, from seeing the incredible chimpanzees and finally getting to see gorillas up close, to the excitement of spotting a leopard, visiting the rhino sanctuary, and experiencing the Source of the Nile. Every day brought something new and memorable.

We also want to give a special thank you to Josephine, who was excellent throughout the planning and administration of the trip. She was responsive, helpful, and made everything feel easy and stress-free.

Uganda itself completely exceeded our expectations, and Kajie Safaris played a huge role in making the journey so memorable. We came back with incredible memories, countless photos, and a much deeper appreciation for this amazing country.

We would absolutely book with Kajie Safaris again, we are already looking forward to our next adventure with them in Kenya and Tanzania as soon as possible!

Uganda the ‘Pearl of Africa’
What an amazing country, it truly is the pearl of Africa. The people, parks and wildlife, accommodation and food were all outstanding and beyond expectations. A country with a wealth of love and pride for their people, country and wildlife. We visited and enjoyed so many places and there is still much more to see:
Our driver/guide Arafat from Kajie Safaris was exceptional, his wealth of knowledge, multi languages, love and pride for his culture, people and country is so admirable and taught us so much. Thank you to the wonderful staff in the Kajie office for your advice, flexibility and excellent communication. Our trip was one of the best adventures we’ve had.

Kajie Safaris did an excellent job at organising our 12 day Ugandan Safari. Impeccable organisation, great lodge selection and excellent communication at all times. We had the time of our lives both at the game drives in the Savannah and the ape tracking in the tropical forests.

A special thanks goes to our tour guide Brian. He was not only a standout professional, who made sure all of our trip went smoothly, but also exceptionally warm and welcoming. He made sure we had the best wildlife viewing opportunities on our game drives. As he is a photographer himself, he made sure to get the best angles possible for photography, which was much appreciated. Recommended for photographers/videographers!

We have nothing but great things to say about Kajie safaris. From looking to book an Ugandan safari in the first place to living the dream, Kajie safaris have been fantastic.

Importantly from the beginning, their replies were prompt and their goal was to tailor the experience to our budget and expectations. When airline flight times changed and so did the itinerary, we understood that making things work seamlessly was their goal.

All the accommodation was first class. A special shout out to Kigambira Safari Lodge, Mahogany Springs and Chimpnest that delivered a flawless experience. All lodges provided great breakfasts and three course meals. We got used to the fresh tasting organic produce through out.

We have to give a massive thank you to our Safari guide and driver Bosco who looked after us all so well throughout our tour. His knowledge of animal and bird life was second to none. And you could see that he was well loved and respected amongst peers and colleagues too. We felt very safe and well looked after in his care. We saw the big five and he even took his time to make sure we saw the prehistoric looking Shoebill too. We had wildlife experiences with Bosco that will stay with us forever.

I hope you choose Uganda. I hope you choose Kajie Safaris. From Gorillas to chimps, walking with Giraffes, experiencing the most powerful waterfall in the world, and the kindness of the people, it was more than a holiday, it was a great life experience.
