Easy booking, great wildlife, and a fantastic guide
We had an excellent experience with KingTomondo, both before and during our safari. Lisa was very responsive to all our requests in the planning stage. Payment was easy thanks to KingTomondo’s EU bank account, allowing a straightforward SEPA transfer.
Our itinerary took us from Nairobi to Amboseli, Taita Hills, and Tsavo East, ending in Diani for a few days of relaxation before heading home. We highly recommend this route — it offers a variety of parks with bearable travel times in between. All of Lisa’s accommodation recommendations were fantastic: Kibo Camp was luxurious and relaxing, while Saltlick Lodge and Manyatta Camp, though slightly lower in comfort, more than compensated with exceptional wildlife viewing directly from the terrace.
Our driver-guide, Mbaruk, was highly experienced and knowledgeable. He showed us a lot of great things, not only focussing on the big mammals, but also birdlife, trees etc.

Amazing Guide and Flawless Safari Adventure
We had an amazing experience with Kingtomondo Safaris. From booking to pickup to the game drives, everything was incredibly smooth. The team was very flexible in accommodating our requests, and communication was excellent throughout. Our guide, Saidi, was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced, with a great eye for spotting animals. He consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible views, even in crowded situations (like when a lion was spotted). Truly a memorable safari, and we highly recommend them!

I highly recommend King Tomondo, Lisa is super helpful and flexible with ideas and suggestions, very professional and reliable, she and the company is very trustworthy. Our driver and guide Mbaruk is really top class, very experienced, knowledgeable, safe driver, respectful, kind and considerate. We seen so many animals, which can be luck, timing and a good driver to manage expectations. I recommend spending the bit extra to get a jeep, and going private if you want the best views and love taking photos and videos

Beyond Excellent Safari Experience
We have chosen KingTomondo based on the good reviews and thus, had high expectations for our safari. After our safari, we must say that our experience with KingTomondo was really great.
First, the communication with Lisa to arrange the safari programme was easy and transparent. Lisa always replied swiftly to any question we had.
Second, the organisation of the safari programme was thoughtful, the selection of the lodges was very good (especially the Ziwani Camp and Salt Lick Lodge - both were amazing). Everything from pick up in Mombasa to drop off at the end of the safari in Diani Beach and the programme itself was well organised.
Mbaruk, our driver and guide, was very competent and experienced. He taught us a lot about the animals, but also about the culture in Kenya and history of Kenya. Mbaruk was always on time and highly professionell. He was at no time intrusive or pushy as we have seen with other cars/companies. When on the game drives, Mbaruk always anticipated the behaviour of the animals, and simultaniously was very considerate and respectful towards the nature. For example, we have seen lions right next to our car and followed cheetahs during their hunting. Mbaruk as our driver was a perfect match for us. Also, we have always felt safe with him.
Overall, we are leaving Kenya with a smiling heart and love for the animals and nature. Our experience with KingTomondo and Mbaruk was beyond excellent. We would definitely book a safari with KingTomondo again and also recommend KingTomondo to our friends and family.
