Awesome 👍 he was the catalyst for making my trip successful and an experience of a lifetime.
A person like Bariki gives you more than you can expect. He exceeds your expectations and makes everyone feel satisfied with his experience and knows where to look for signs of animals. His knowledge and experience is priceless and I was grateful he was my guide and made my experience of a lifetime a success and so grateful to have him with me.
A wonderful first time Safari experience
We read the very good online reviews regarding Kojuu Safaris. This was our first safari experience and we were initially hesitant about not going with a mainstream tour operator. We need not have worried. Judith put together a fantastic tour experience taking in the grand migration/ calving experience in 3 different National Reserves. The accommodations were great. Throughout the process communication was speedy and proficient. We organised our own flights but we were met on time by our couriers without hitch. A special mention must go to Patrick, our safari guide. His knowledge was top notch and we managed to see all the Big 5. He was courteous, patient and very professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kojuu Safaris.
Once in a lifetime, incredible!!
Where do I even begin with this review? I truly cannot recommend Kojuu Safaris enough.
From the very first enquiry and throughout the entire booking process, right up to the safari itself, everything was completely seamless. We had absolutely no idea where to start when planning a safari, so we gave Kojuu a budget to work with. Julian came back to us with two tailored options, one luxury and one mid range. We chose the luxury option and it exceeded all of our expectations.
We came for our honeymoon and it truly was a once in a lifetime experience. Every lodge was made aware that we were celebrating our honeymoon, and we received several room upgrades, cakes and so many thoughtful touches that made the trip feel even more special.
Our driver, Ombeni, was incredible. He was so patient and knowledgeable, and he made every game drive such a fun and unforgettable experience. I honestly couldn’t believe how he was able to spot animals, he would notice them from so far away, things we never would have seen ourselves. It was so impressive and truly showed what a fantastic guide he is. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five, which was just amazing.
What really stood out was how supportive the Kojuu team were throughout. We had a very minor issue at one of the hotels and Ombeni stayed with us to help resolve it, while Julian was immediately available on WhatsApp to assist. The level of care and service was exceptional.
Every lodge we stayed in was exactly what we had hoped for, beautiful, comfortable and perfectly chosen for us. The safari vehicle itself was so comfortable, and the food and drinks provided were fantastic. Kojuu even asked us in advance what snacks and drinks we preferred, and the car was fully stocked with our favourites, such a thoughtful touch.
Our safari was worth every penny and I would return in a heartbeat.
Spectacular experience!
I can't rave enough about kojuu safaris. Zayer is the owner of the company and was incredibly responsive and so helpful. I found kojuu because I wanted to customize a safari and not choose a cookie cutter planned trip. Zayer had so much patience as we went back and forth picking out accommodations and locations. It is daunting to pay for the safari on an African payment website but I promise it all turns out ok.
When we arrived in Kilimanjaro we had a young driver named Reagan was waiting for us as promised. He drove us to a hotel in arusha where we were able to freshen up and rest. We met our guide Emmanuel, at 6am out front of the hotel. Emmanuel is so professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and just a phenomenal person. We feel so fortunate that we got Emmanuel. He took us first to Ngorongoro Crater and was intimately familiar with the whole park. He filled us in on an the animals, their behavior, fun facts, and information on the maasia people, customs, and geography. The next day we visited Ndutu which was calving season for the great migration. Without a seasoned guide like Emmanuel I'm 100% content l confident you'd get lost out there. We saw everything and got close enough to most animals we could take selfies with them. Our third day we drove to the sarengeti. While most guides stayed on the main road, Emmanuel veered off on a two track towards "pride rock" if you've seen the lion King you'll know. We encountered 3 lionesses and 8 cubs feasting on a freshly killed wildebeest. So amazing. 4th day Emmanuel took us out for a half day trip because we were tapped out and needed a break. We saw 5 juvenile male lions and 11 cubs. Another awesome day. Emmanuel showed up every day with enthusiasm and energy that is impossible to beat. We went HARD for 4 days 12+hours and he was still the same guy we met the first morning. If you take a safari in tanzania you are missing out on any other outfit or any other guide. Kojuu, Zayer, and Emmanuel have to be the best outfit in tanzania. I don't know how they could have made our experience better. My wife and I are experienced travelers that have been blessed to experience some of the best places and coolest experiences and I still want to brag about how great this experience was.

Top Notch Customer Service
We had wanted to do a safari for over 25 years. In June of 2025, the timing was right, and we started planning in May. After searching the internet for options, we came across Kojuu Safaris and I am so glad worked with them for this bucket list adventure. We met with Judith online and she helped us customize the perfect trip. The entire trip was amazing, from arrival at the airport to the day we departed. We were met by representatives at each leg of our journey (Arusha, Safari, Zanzibar).
Our safari guide, Humphrey, was top notch, and so knowledgeable about the animals and plants and history. Judith stayed in tough throughout our journey and arranged special extras that made my husband’s 60th birthday truly memorable. We are from Canada and were hesitant to wire a large sum of money to pay for this trip. Silver, Kojuu’s accountant was very helpful in keeping us updated on when the payment was received. You can book in confidence with Kojuu Safaris and know that you will have a memorable trip with superb customer service.
We chose to stay 2 nights in Arusha to acclimate to the time zone and visited a giraffe sanctuary the day after our arrival; it was a really cool experience to be that close the animals. We stayed in upgraded accommodations and our safari was a private, 6-day trip with just me and my husband. We did a balloon safari and even though I am not fond of heights, I would do it again in a heartbeat, the operation in Tanzania in truly top notch and very safety conscious. The balloon pilots are from all over the world. The bush breakfast was better than many high-end restaurants, and the loo with a view was unexpectedly very clean with hot water and towels available to wash up.
In Zanzibar we did a walking tour to Stonetown, visited a spice farm, and took a boat to prison island. We stayed two days in Stonetown and then two days just relaxing in the Paje region on the east side of the island before returning to Canada.
