The best price AND the best service? I didn't believe it either

Rioba Safaris delivered everything they promised — and choosing them was the hardest part.

We're a family of five (two adults, three kids) and we spent weeks researching safari operators for our Kenya–Tanzania trip. If you've gone through this process, you know how overwhelming it is — dozens of companies, similar itineraries, no way to tell who's legit and who isn't.

From the very first message, Joseph and Donant were incredibly patient with us. I'm not exaggerating when I say we went through at least 20 revisions of the itinerary. I kept changing destinations, asking about different lodges, adding and removing days, requesting a Spanish-speaking guide — and every single time they came back quickly with an updated proposal, no complaints, no pressure. That level of responsiveness before they'd received a single dollar from us said a lot.

Then I did something that I'd recommend to anyone in this situation: I took Rioba's final itinerary and sent it to several other agencies for comparison quotes. Rioba's price was significantly lower — and I mean not even close. Honestly, that made me nervous. When something is much cheaper, you wonder what's being cut. But by that point I'd been communicating with them for weeks and their professionalism had earned my trust, so I went with my gut.

I'm so glad I did. Once on the ground, everything was exactly as agreed — the vehicles, the accommodations, the guide, the logistics of crossing from Kenya into Tanzania overland. No surprises, no hidden costs, no last-minute changes. With three kids in tow, that kind of reliability is everything.

If you're reading this while agonizing over which company to book with — I get it. I was right where you are. My advice: talk to them, ask for references from past clients, compare their quote against others, and judge them by how they handle your twentieth email asking to change something. That's where Rioba really stands out.

As retirees who wanted to experience the beauty of Tanzania without the physical strain of long, bumpy overland drives (often called the "African massage"), Rioba Safari created the absolute perfect itinerary for us. Their 4-Day / 3-Night Fly-In & Fly-Out Serengeti Package was exactly what we needed, allowing us to arrive refreshed and maximize our time in the park.

Incredible Wildlife & Game Drives
Having three full days of game drives allowed us to explore the Serengeti at a comfortable pace. The wildlife sightings were beyond our expectations:

The Big Five: We spotted four out of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo)—missing only the elusive rhino!

The Wildebeest Migration: Witnessing the great migration in person was a true bucket-list moment that we will cherish forever.

Outstanding 3-Day Safari with a Local Tanzanian Company

We booked our three-day safari with Riobas Safari because the company made the best overall impression in terms of customer service, communication and professionalism. They were not the cheapest provider, but the booking process was quick, uncomplicated and very well organised.

Our itinerary started and ended on Zanzibar:

Day 1: Tarangire National Park, overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater, overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park, followed by our return to Zanzibar

The entire safari experience was fantastic. Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara each offered completely different landscapes and wildlife experiences, making the itinerary varied and exciting from beginning to end.

Our guide was a major part of what made the trip so enjoyable. He was friendly, positive, easy-going and professional. We had a lot of fun together, felt comfortable at all times and enjoyed three unforgettable days.

The safari vehicle was excellent, the equipment was comfortable, and the food and drinks provided during the journey were very well suited to the trip. Everything we needed was available, allowing us to focus entirely on the wildlife and the experience.

We also appreciated that Robas Safari is a genuinely Tanzanian-owned and operated company. Booking directly with a local provider means that more of the money remains in Tanzania and supports the local economy, guides, drivers, accommodation providers and their families.

We were extremely happy with our safari and would recommend Robas Safari without hesitation. Thank you to Joseph, Bankres and the entire team for this memorable experience.

We had the most incredible experience booking our safari with Rioba Safari and honestly couldn't recommend them enough.
From the very beginning, I got in touch with the director via WhatsApp and explained exactly what we were looking for. His replies were always incredibly quick, and he created a personalised itinerary that suited us perfectly. Whenever we wanted to make a change, nothing was ever a problem. He was so accommodating, worked within our budget, showed us different options, and organised absolutely everything for us—from flights and hotels to transfers—making the whole process completely stress-free.
Our safari guide, Pancreas, was absolutely fantastic. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and worked tirelessly to make sure we had the best experience possible. Thanks to him, we saw all of the Big Five, and we were even lucky enough to spot a leopard, which we know is such a rare sighting. It truly made our safari even more special.
We had the most unbelievable three days and made memories that will last a lifetime. If you're thinking about booking a safari in Tanzania, don't hesitate to book with Rioba Safari. We had an incredible safari with Rioba Safari! We visited Serval Wildlife, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park, and everything was perfectly organised from start to finish. We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five, making it a truly unforgettable trip.

A huge thank you to our guide, Pancras, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. The hotels were excellent, all transfers and taxis were seamless, and every detail was taken care of. We highly recommend Rioba Safari for an amazing Tanzanian adventure!
