What an Adventure!!
Wow where to start! Myself, my mum, my friend & her mum all went on an unforgettable 4 day safari trip with Raymond's African Safari's at the end of February.
The accommodation which we stayed in consisted of hotels, tents, lodges, which were all clean and hosted by the friendliest staff and lovely meals. Everything about the trip start to finish was organised and well planned, even tailoring in the wildebeest carving season. Visiting the Tarangire, Ndutu, and Ngorongoro Crater were incredible, seeing wildlife in their natural surroundings was surreal.
Our tour guide Ernest was amazing, friendly and very knowledgeable, he made sure we got to see as much wildlife as possible and making sure to keep us safe with the “African Massage” (bumpy tracks). We learnt so much about each wildlife we encountered, the culture of Tanzania and the different surroundings we found ourselves in.
Overall, this once in a lifetime experience was incredible and we now have memories to last a lifetime. Thank you to Raymond and his team for organising this amazing adventure for us. I would highly recommend Raymond’s African Safari’s to anyone looking to book an African safari. Thank you!
Organized, friendly, knowledgeable, kind, trustworthy... the best!
My husband and I worked with Raymond African Safaris for our very belated honeymoon. This was our first trip to Africa and everything about our experience was INCREDIBLE! We booked a 7-night trip starting in Arusha with time in Tarangire, Ndutu, and Ngorongoro Crater before a road transfer to Nairobi (and teary goodbyes). A few notes:
- While no guide can control the wildlife, we were fortunate enough to see the big five plus all sorts of other animals, plants/trees, etc. We were learning the whole time and grateful for a private experience that allowed us to move at our own pace (i.e., sit and wait for an hour+ to see if the leopard would get out of the tree).
- Every camp we stayed at was unique, comfortable, clean, and staffed by the kindest humans. We felt very taken care of by attentive camp teams.
- We were beyond well fed the whole time. Most days we would have an early breakfast at camp, lunch somewhere on the road/in the bush, and dinner back at a camp. I was amazed the first lunch when instead of classic sandwiches, our guide laid out a tablecloth, unpacked 5+ containers of REAL food (chicken, potatoes, noodles, veggies, etc.), set the table with real plating/cutlery, etc. There was no skimping on experience and were glad for a variety of food.
- More than anything though, we had the most amazing experience with our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, conversational. He kept us safe on muddy/bumpy drives, ensured that we were comfortable, and - by the end of the trip - we probably would have gone anywhere/tried anything had he told us to.
If you are thinking about booking this trip, do it and trust Raymond African Safaris to take care of you the whole time. We can't wait to return.

A Safari Experience I’ll Never Forget
Our trip to Tanzania was nothing short of extraordinary, one of those journeys that stays with you long after you’ve returned home.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt well-organized and thoughtfully planned, and a huge part of that credit goes to our guide, Raymond. Raymond is incredibly knowledgeable about safaris and Tanzania as a whole, and it truly shows in the way he guides. Being born and raised in Arusha, he has an authentic, deep-rooted understanding of the land, wildlife, and culture that you simply can’t get from a guidebook. Every drive felt like a moving classroom, but never overwhelming—just fascinating.
The safari experience itself exceeded all expectations! We were lucky enough to see the Big Five which felt surreal. Raymond’s sharp eye, patience, and experience played a huge role in this. He knew exactly where to go, when to wait, and how to read the environment. He also shared meaningful stories about animal behavior, conservation, and local traditions, which made each sighting even more special.
What stood out most was how passionate Raymond is about his country. You could feel his pride in Tanzania in every explanation, every stop, and every recommendation. He was not only a guide but a storyteller, a teacher, and a genuinely kind person who made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the trip.
Overall, this Tanzania trip was unforgettable rich in wildlife, landscapes, and culture. If you’re planning a safari, having a guide like Raymond makes all the difference. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic, well-guided, and truly memorable African safari. 🦁🌍

Worth it
We had a private safari tour with Raymond, and it was truly an exceptional experience. Raymond is an amazing guide—accommodating, considerate, and genuinely kind. He is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife, local culture, and history, which made every game drive both exciting and educational.
The safari vehicle was well-maintained and comfortable, and Raymond had everything prepared for the trip. All we had to do was sit back, enjoy the breathtaking surroundings, spot incredible wildlife, and listen to his fascinating trivia along the way.
We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, which made the experience even more special. The mid-range accommodation choices were surprisingly good—comfortable, scenic, and perfect for a safari experience.
The entire trip was absolutely worth it, and even now, I still find myself reliving the moments. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget. I highly recommend Raymond to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free safari adventure.
