We paid £500 deposit in this country and the rest on arrival in Kilimanjaro. It was this that made us book with zanzi as the worst thing that could happen would be that we’d arrive and have to find our own tour. That didn’t happen . About a week before we set off, we were given a direct email to ‘Honest’ - a very good sign , and we communicated directly to him about pick up times, flight numbers etc, answering our queries within a very short timeframe and he was at Kilimanjaro on our arrival .
He took the rest of the payment upon arrival at our first hotel, met us the following morning and transported us to our Safari vehicle. We were then in the hands of Humphre who was just the nicest man and so kind.
We had the most amazing, informative and fun trip you could imagine with beautiful scenery and animals, visiting Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We returned after four days and after a night in Arusha, were transferred to the airport for the flight to Zanzibar where we relaxed for a couple of days before booking a boat trip to Mnemba island and swam with wild dolphins.
This trip has been one of the best experiences of our lives and we take with us so many happy memories.

I did a 7 day Safari and joined a group, travelling solo. It is challenging depending on weather, different schedules of group members etc. And they managed perfect solutions for everybody every day. My high expectation have been easily outmatched. Ask for Mike as guide. He does not have the nickname ‚Magic Mike‘ for no reason. Best guide I could imagine: Relaxed, driving skills (which are needed!), deep knowledge of the animals, incredible sharp eyes to spot them. After 7 days you want him as your second Daddy! 😅

We chose Zanzi after getting 3 quotes. It was the best price and had the best configuration of parks and time in Zanzibar. They were easy to deal with in the lead up to the trip and they were flexible, allowing us to switch a night in Zanzibar for an extra night to do Lake Manyara. The tour itself was great, we saw lots of animals. I wouldn't recommend Lake Manyara, there are no longer lions in trees or flamingos as advertised, just the occasional elephant and some baboons (that's not Zanzi's fault, just how it is). The accommodation was all great. Our tour guide, Ishmael, was very knowledgable and knew his way around the game parks. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Zanzi
