High quality, organised, attentive and flexible - can't ask for more
5/5

Overall: I don't think you can get a better trip at a better price than this outfit. If you are looking to climb Kili, book with Almighty and ask for Muntari and Frank!

Details: UK, 27 yr old, climbed Lemosho as a group of 4 with Almighty tours.

This was a super special trip due to the quality of Almighty's people.

Guides: Our guides Muntari and Frank were amazing - knowledgable, organised and super fun. They manage to balance being hilarious and energetic with also being very on top of your wellbeing and attentive around coping with altitude. We could tell they are incredibly experienced (+300 summits each) and always felt in safe hands.

Team: our team worked super hard to make this a fantastic experience. Every day we arrived to a lovely camp with high quality tents and sleeping mats. We ate delicious hot breakfast lunch and dinner every day and an endless supply of coffee, hot chocolate and lemon ginger tea. Everything was always well organised and high quality. In particular Armani always kept our spirits high.

Management: communication and information before the trip was on point. Our airport transfer and hotel before the trip was very smooth. We rented high quality kit at affordable prices (sleeping bag, head torch, and shoes for me). Almighty also accommodated last minute changes from us around transfers and hotels without issue.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience made unforgettable by the best team imaginable
5/5

I’ve done a fair bit of hiking and trekking over the years, but nothing comes close to this. Climbing Kilimanjaro was the adventure of a lifetime, and I genuinely believe it was the people who made it what it was. Muntari and Frank (our amazing guides), along with the entire team, went above and beyond every single day. From start to finish, they made us feel completely safe, supported, and cared for, while also filling the trip with laughter, energy, and joy. Special shout out to Amani too, our waiter, for being the kindest and most joyful person to be around. He woke us up very gently every morning with a coffee or tea, and I heard other groups being woken up with just a rap on the tent. The food was excellent and nourishing and only ever felt there was too much, never too little.

The landscapes are surreal, we hiked from rainforest with monkeys, through shrublands, across a barren, lunar-like section , and finally to the arctic summit. Every day brought something new and breathtaking. And searching the top as the sun was rising was the most incredible feeling, made even more powerful by the team behind us, who got us there with such warmth, knowledge, and dedication.

If you’re considering climbing Kilimanjaro, do it with these guys. You’ll be in the safest hands, you’ll laugh more than you expect, and you’ll walk away with memories (and friendships). I can’t thank Muntari, Frank, and the whole team enough — I’ll never forget it.

Amazing and life affirming trip. Attention to detail by all the crew was exemplary. Armani woke us each morning and really looked after the group. The two guides Franky and leader Muntari were wonderful and I couldn’t have asked for better guides.

A unforgettable experience to the roof of Africa, made by the people at Almighty Kilimanjaro!
5/5

Where do I start, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had and a mental challenge that I will never forget especially summit night!!

The communication from Almighty Kilimanjaro from start to finish was excellent!!

The trip was exactly as described in terms of the route, however we decided to change it to 7 days on the Lemosho route, this was out of my choice and there was no pressure by anyone to make this change on the mountain!

Muntari you are a gem and I truly thank you for taking me up the mountain with you and your team and giving me your knowledge of the mountain and sharing stories with me, a little Eminem also helped!!

You made me laugh so much on this trip and the memories shared with you will always be with me. Your daughter is so lucky to have a father like you!!

Chef Shabani, you kept me energised throughout the trip and made me look forward to each and every meal time, especially with those pancakes and if I could take you home to be my private chef then I would, but I don’t want to take you away from Muntari as I think he might miss you!! Thank you for everything and helping guide me down on the descent.

Amani, thank you for the hot tea every morning and the washie washie water every day. Your smile each morning made me motivated from the first point every morning, you are a real treasure!!

Also thank you to the rest of of the other porters, you work so hard each day to ensure camp is set up before I arrive and without you guys, I would have never made it down from the summit!

Thank you to you all and for welcoming me to your beautiful country, I will never forget this experience or any of you and you will forever have a place in my heart!!

I wish all good health to you and your families and future safety on every future climb up the mountain!

Nawapende Sana, Asanteni Sana, Rafiki Sana!!!

Kilimanjaro - 7 day Lemosho route
5/5

We did the 8-day Lemosho trek up Kilimanjaro as a group of two, though we ended up shortening it to 7 days.
Communication in the lead-up was excellent: we received quick responses via WhatsApp from the company director, who was also very helpful in organising our safari afterwards.

We would highly recommend Larry as a guide. He was knowledgeable, approachable, and attentive. He looked out for the entire team, including the porters, and kept us well-informed throughout the trek. His chef, Chinga, cooked some amazing meals too! We stayed in a tent large enough to eat in, complete with a table, plenty of condiments, and mats for sleeping. We’d also recommend opting for the private toilet which was definitely worth it!

During the first couple of days, we were able to move a bit faster given our ability level, while still maintaining safety. Later on, there was ample opportunity to rest. On summit night, Larry got us to the top with gentle encouragement and even some singing — the timing was perfect as we reached the summit right at sunrise! He also really enjoyed taking photos of us along the way.

In summary, we’d definitely recommend booking directly with this company for good communication and planning support for Kilimanjaro — would recommend be asking for Larry as your guide!

Fabulous team & unforgettable experience
5/5

In late May, without prior trekking experience, I decided out of the blue to attempt Kilimanjaro via the Machame (Whiskey) route on 6 days. The only thing that was clear to me was that I would secure the services of a local operator. And Almighty Kilimanjaro went above and beyond my expectations.

Before the trek, all went smoothly: logistics, briefing, equipment (and private toilet) rentals, stay at the Salinero...

Then I was blessed to share my little challenge with a wonderful group of seven individuals led by my guide Muntari. They brought their A+ game every step of the way. Muntari was not only great at managing our pace but he also provided remarkable insights about the fauna & flora we encountered throughout the climb.

Shabani (Chef) and Chaz (Waiter) were an amazing one-two punch also, ensuring I was properly fed & hydrated. These two accompanied me & Muntari on the summit attempt, helping me push through several moments of vulnerability.

Also the porters were extremely kind and happy seeing me reach daily milestones. I was not aware of what it takes to 'carry' a client to Uhuru Peak and back. I would like to give a massive shout-out to the full guild of porters. The efforts shall be acknowledged and celebrated.

All in all, it was a superb experience I will remember forever. Should I decide to do it again in the future, Almighty Kilimanjaro would be my pick again, without a doubt.

Knowledgeable of the mountain and the pace was probably just right from Frankie and the boys!

10/10 experience
5/5

The contribution of the guides, porters and chefs cannot be overstated. They were fully invested in our success and the key to it. From transporting all tents, gear, food and supplies (except day pays, but even carrying those when necessary) to three delicious hot meals a day to camp always being set up when we arrived for lunch and at the end of the day to going the extra mile to monitor and assist progress and maintain an upbeat atmosphere, the attention to detail in planning, organization and execution could hardly have been more impressive and inspiring. That includes the coordinated assistance from stateside staff in booking, pickup at the airport and answering questions.

Highly recommend!!

Unforgettable kilimanjaro experience
5/5

Very happy with our hike to Kilimanjaro! Good communication before, during and after the hike. Would definitely recommend to others. Answered all our questions and also thought the prices were good. Great food on the trek and all of the staff were great! Very pleased with our waiter Chisano who helped us before and after each trek and answered our questions.
