Outstanding Care, Professionalism, and Safety First!
I recently completed (or rather, attempted!) the 7-day Machame Route with Almighty Kilimanjaro, and while I didn't reach the summit, my experience with the company was nothing short of exceptional.
Unfortunately, I had picked up a virus on my way into Tanzania and started the trek already coughing slightly. As we climbed higher, the cough exacerbated, and I began experiencing difficulty breathing and chest discomfort—early signs of High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE).
Throughout this, my chief guide, Shaffi, and assistant guide, Alex, were incredible. They monitored me closely, for example, checking my heart rate and
oxygen levels. When my cough flared up, Shaffi thoughtfully made me ginger tea to soothe it and carried my backpack to ease my load. They were endlessly encouraging, but more importantly, they knew when to prioritize safety over the summit.
As my breathing difficulties worsened, Shaffi made the crucial call: "Your life is more important than climbing the mountain. The mountain will always be there."
True to his word, he swiftly coordinated a rescue helicopter. The level of support didn't stop on the mountain: a ground crew was waiting for me as I landed, took me straight to a clinic for a medical check-up, and then safely transferred me to the hotel. Their professionalism, vigilance, and genuine compassion during a frightening medical emergency quite literally saved my life. Almighty Kilimanjaro operates with the highest standards of safety and care, and I cannot recommend Shaffi, Alex, and the entire team enough. If you are looking for a reliable, deeply empathetic trekking company that puts its climbers' well-being above all else, look no further than Almighty Kilimanjaro and ask for Shaffi and Alex.

Amazing tour amazing trip
I went on the machame tour with my mum! We ended up with just one other person which made the whole trip really focused on us which was great. The campsite was set up for us when we arrived every day. Ladi and Dennis were great tour guides. Ladi is very experienced on the mountain he was able to tell us everything we needed each day making the trip very stress free. Food was fresh and they gave us water everyday to drink and to wash which I didn’t expect but was definitely a bonus. Everything was sorted out for us as soon as we got to the airport which let us focus on enjoying our trip. 10/10 experience I would recommend this trip to anyone and to ask for Ladi because he really was an excellent guide, I wouldn’t have made it to the summit if not for him and his positivity. Thanks to the my personal travel planner and concierge at Orraya Global, I had a fantastic 6-day trip under the care and leadership of my guide, Amiri, from Almighty Kilimanjaro. Although I had significant previous experience in the Alps (up to 4,000m), this experience up to 6,000m came woth very different challenges and I would not have been successful without Amiri as a knowledgeable guide. I am also grateful to the porters, Chef, and second teammate (all from Almighty) who helped me along the way. Up to 4,000m, it felt like overkill to have so much support. But the team's value and experience became very clear as we got into high altitude and thin air. I would highly recommend Almighty as an affordable, safe, professional, and friendly team for all activities up and around Kilimanjaro. That includes their other tours to coffee plantations, the market, waterfalls, and other mountains (whichI did in between the Kilimanjaro hike). My thanks to the whole team and their management.

Couldn’t recommend enough
My partner and I did the 8-day Lemosho route with Almighty Kilimanjaro, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Swaleh and his team were absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made what was a tough 8-day hike as easy as it could possibly be for us.
Everyone had a smile on their face, and you could tell they genuinely wanted us to reach the summit, whatever it took. On summit night they even offered to carry our day bags so we didn’t have any strain on our backs, which made a huge difference when it mattered most.
It also happened to be my birthday while we were on the mountain. My partner had mentioned it to Swaleh in passing the day before, and he clearly took note. That evening, before dinner, the whole team came out singing happy birthday and presented me with a proper birthday cake. How they managed to bake a cake at 4,500m above sea level I’ll never know, but I was seriously impressed 🤣
If you’re thinking about climbing Kilimanjaro, I can’t recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro highly enough. Thank you, Swaleh and team!

Almighty Kilimanjaro organized the trip perfectly from the beginning to the end!
Trip was perfectly organized by Almighty Kilimanjaro! Together with a team of 14 porters, guides and a cook, we performed the hike to the top of Kilimanjaro.
Whenever we arrived at a camp, all was arranged for us. Tents were setup, water was provided, and very good meals were provided.
For everyone who wants to hike the Kilimanjaro, I will recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro!

Amazing experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro!!
We had an incredible experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and a huge part of that was down to the amazing team who looked after us throughout the whole trek.
Our guides, Ladi and Dennis, were absolutely brilliant. They were knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive from start to finish. They kept our spirits high, made sure we were comfortable, and helped us push through. We genuinely wouldn’t have been able to do it without them, and we’re so grateful for everything they did to help us reach the summit.
The entire team was fantastic, from the chef and porters to everyone behind the scenes. They couldn’t do enough for us and made us feel welcome from day one. The food was great, the service was incredible, and it was clear how much effort everyone put into making our experience as enjoyable as possible.
We would 100% recommend this company to anyone looking to climb Kilimanjaro. An unforgettable experience with an amazing group of people!

We completed the 7 day Machame route which gave us enough time to acclimatise and take in the views. As a result all three of us summitted. Everything about this tour was great from getting picked up at the airport to getting dropped off at my hotel at the end of the hike. The huts were comfortable and the extra day for acclimating to the elevation was a good choice. Request Joe as your guide, he was great!
