Unforgettable Days in the Heart of Kenya
Our safari experience in Kenya was absolutely perfect! Everything was so well organized — from the transfers and accommodations to the game drives and activities. The team was professional, friendly, and always attentive to every detail. We truly felt cared for every step of the way.
All of us came back incredibly happy and full of unforgettable memories. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, which made every moment in the wild even more special. We saw the Big Five, enjoyed breathtaking sunsets, and learned so much about Kenya’s wildlife and culture.
Thank you for making this journey flawless and memorable it truly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and well-planned safari experience!

Ask for Kasaine tour guide!
We booked with a local company called Hyrax and had a great experience . Our guide Kasaine was a Maasai and he knew all the parks inside out . He was very attentive and made sure every thing was perfect at all times. His time mgmt was excellent and bathroom breaks and knowing where to go to see what animal. He was friends with everyone and everyone knew him. We did a 9

Wonderful tour operation and wonderful guide
We have chosen Hyrax for our first safari experience, and it turned out great! Communication about the tour plan was clear and efficient. Everything since pickup by our excellent guide Sammy was smooth and joyful. He provided us an unforgettable safari tour with his deep knowledge and enthusiasm about the great nature and wildlifes. We have spotted way more wildlifes than expected. In general, it was a great experience for us and we'd love to recommend Hyrax to those who plan to go on safari tour in Kenya.

A realiable agency and a good trip

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT!
Just back from our Hyrax safari - wow! From the initial contact with Irene, to agreeing the itinerary and accommodation, to the safari itself, all ran completely seamlessly.
Our guide, Kasaine was incredible. We’re a well travelled couple, but I’d say that Kasaine is the best guide we’ve ever had. From his politeness and professional, to his in-depth knowledge of everything about the animals, flora and forna, he was out of this world. Make sure you request him! Even from keeping the jeep clean, to toilet stops, and his amazing skilled eye for spotting animals at a distance, he was just superb. He also has a brilliant eye for photography and would e.g. move the position of the van to ensure the sun didn’t blind the photos, or get animals with their reflections on the water. He’s definitely ensured we have the best photographic memories of this amazing trip to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. Loved our visit to the Masai village too. The best holiday ever. Accommodation chosen for us was excellent.
Best safari ever
I recently went on a safari trip to Masai Mara with Hyrax Safaris, and it was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the team made everything seamless — from transfers to accommodations, they took care of every detail.
Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife, making the experience both educational and thrilling. We saw an incredible variety of animals up close — lions lounging in the sun, herds of elephants, giraffes, and even the elusive cheetah. The highlight for me was spotting hyraxes in their natural habitat, something I never expected to see!
The accommodations provided by Hyrax Safaris were comfortable, clean, and beautifully set in the heart of nature, offering breathtaking views of the savannah. Meals were delicious and perfectly timed between game drives.
Overall, I can’t recommend Hyrax Safaris enough. If you’re looking for an authentic, well-organized, and awe-inspiring safari experience in Masai Mara, this is the team to go with!

An Unforgettable 9-Day Safari Experience with Hyrax Safari
We had an incredible 9-day safari with Hyrax Safari, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From the very beginning, Emmah was fantastic—she made the whole planning process so easy, was flexible with all our requests, and even arranged a last-minute transfer for us without any hassle. She went above and beyond, even coming to meet us in person, which made us feel really well cared for.
Our guide and driver, Ben, was equally amazing. He was not only knowledgeable and friendly but also extremely well-connected, which meant we had the best possible experiences in Masai Mara, Nairobi National Park, and Amboseli. He shared so many fascinating facts about wildlife and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment.

Great value and communication, personal approach
When I was looking for a safari operator in Kenya I contacted five or six ones and stopped on Hyrax. They seemed to have the optimal balance of costs and comfort. We were not looking for luxuries but clean and comfortable lodging was important. So what we got (Sopa Lodge) was above expectations.
Whats important, while communicating I felt the personal response. Irene was prompt and helpful in every issue I had and I wanna thank her for that.
We have booked the Amboseli safari and full day trip in Nairobi - both were organised in a great way. Guides/drivers did their best to show as much as possible and to keep it safe.
I definitely recommend Hyrax for:
1. Great value for the money balance
2. Fast respond, flexibility, meeting personal requests
3. Providing information and assistance in planning activities
4. Getting good lodge even at high season when it’s overbooked everywhere
5. Highly professional approach from the side of manager, drivers and guides.

Great hiking experience with flawless organization and wonderful team
We (my partner and I) hiked Mount Kenya in August of 2025 for 5 days. We were extremely happy with the experience. The hike itself was beautiful, even if quite challenging due to the altitude, and we were super happy about the team around our senior guide Daniel. Daniel and co-guide Daniel were the perfect guides - very pleasant to be around, helpful/ supportive and had an answer to all of our questions about animals in the area and so on. In general the team of seven people we were hiking with was super friendly and supportive- they did and excellent job and every meal was just very nice and plenty.
The transportation to and from the mountain to Nairobi wasn’t very comfortable but okay.
